You might recognize this beautiful beast as the infamous "Sasquatch" owned by Jason Darrah of Primal Outdoors. We got to hang out with our friend during Overland Expo PNW and he gave us an informal walk around of this magnificent, DIY build that has become his home on the trail.

  • I’m happy to see that the guy you featured is still at it! I follow his channel and Chads channel and few more that I can’t remember but these guys helped me get through a tuff period after my son passed due to suicide. The pandemic would have been extremely difficult without him posting his videos. Oh his soundtracks are amazing and so are his dogs! Keep going strong💪🏾 23:17

  • Thanks for covering Jason's work. He is the first "Overlander" if you will, that I started watching many years ago. He is a down to earth creator.❤

  • That thing is awesome!! Talk about a labor of love. I love the slide out bed and the wood paneling. It's like a cabin on wheels

  • I’ve seen the method bead grip units hold 4lbs on a Tacoma a full froading weekend trip. Was so impressed, I ordered a set for my runner.

  • I'm not an overlander like y'all, but I appreciate both of your channels. Anything that can give me ideas how to stay out longer in my trailer! And y'all both do an excellent job showing the amazing natural beauty that keeps us all coming back to the outdoors. PS been binge watching your season 1 Alaska trip, amazing. 👍

  • You're welcome everyone for my popularization of full body bedlining... I was one if not the first in British Columbia to have a full body bedliner... it was my daily driver for years starting nearly 11 years ago... maybe you saw it... a black lined 02 Dakota... and I swear it improved my fuel economy... maybe the golf ball effect... idk... she was a head turner though... had loads of people taking pics... haven't seen any though oddly enough... Anyway... it's a sick rig you got there... I'm looking to do something similar... nomad life is calling...

  • Absolute class, rig totally love it. Weird taste in cereal. Maybe it’s because I’m Irish and didn’t grow up eating Froot Loops, I just don’t get it. Try it, found it to be completely weird.

  • I traveled in a Sportsmobile for several years. It was great for me at the time, now I prefer the much smaller footprint of my Tacoma. Great vehicle though and it's still in the family.

  • Jason just about has me convinced to commit to 4x4 van camping/long-term overlanding instead of my Jeep Commander and a plan to convert an enclosed utility trailer which i have yet to acquire. 🤔

  • Wood is really heavy. I wonder if he could change over to aluminum supports? Would free up a little space too since the aluminum wouldn't be so bulky.
