This video really hit home for me. Me and Tomari grew up together and went to different high schools, I still ask myself today what could've been different had we went to the same high school. The video doesn't say what happened to him but during the swim his foot got caught and he drowned. At least that's what they told friends and family. He was so kind and although he was shy and had a stutter he was always a jokester once he opened up to you. R.I.P Tomari! You're home where you belong now! 😔

The only school trip I went to was a geography trip where we were driven to the rough part of the city to see how rivers are formed, we saw people dealing drugs, old drunken guys and bullet holes in the "welcome to leigh park" sign 😂

Well, I have two field trip stories to tell: - I went to a small waterpark once when I was 8 years old. There was a large playground with a set of swings and next to it was the water stuff. We completely filled up every spot on the swings and somebody decided to get into the swing designed only for babies. They ended up getting stuck in the swing for about an hour before the fire department had to come and cut them loose. - My school always had an annual zoo field trip for us since it was cheaper and taught us a lot about animals in our science class. I went once in 3rd grade, and on my way back from feeding Giraffes and being on a dinosaur trail, there was a small wall of cacti leading over to a carousel. It was guarded, but not well enough, so somebody in my class on the field trip completely slammed his hand into the damn thing. He had about 20 needles in his hand from that. It was bad, but it was nothing a band-aid couldn't fix.

I know of a story about a school trip that my high school did over 15 years ago to Vietnam that ended up being on the news because one of the girls sadly fell off the mountainside whilst they were out hiking and she was 15, I knew the teacher who was supervising it and it was tragic, I'm slightly surprised it didn't make that list
I had a school trip similar to the brain one where we went to see cadavers and organs from dead people during our sport excellence class 2 years ago. We all got to hold a live human brain and it was both really disturbing and really cool at the same time!

I once had a field trip to a movie theater. It was a nice one with a little more room than an armrest with a mini light. People where starting fights over the lights.
I remember a school trip when I was 12/13 the teachers were super far away from our cabin and we lit a fire with dry branch’s and a dead tree that got to about 50ft in the air. There was also a heap of alcohol/drugs that students had brought with them being used pretty bad for 12/13 year olds but was a good time very memorable school camp.

I went on a school geography trip to a beach, our class was split into two coaches, the teacher on our coach decided we should get out ealier than planned. So we had to walk about 5 or more miles along the beach. The weather wasn't great so it was cold and windy and you couldn't go in the sea because the tide was out and there was sinking sand. We also missed out on half of the tasks and activities because we had to walk so far

We went on a field trip to Brazil to study the Amazon forest for geography. Everything went well until one of my classmates stole a bottle of aftershave from a high-end store on the last day and was caught by the owners. Police came and they arrested him. We couldn't leave the country without him so all our flights had to be delayed, however, one teacher out of the three then flew us home whilst the other two tried to get him out of jail. The student was sent to a holding cell overnight, whilst the teachers were sleeping outside on the floor because they had no accommodation. It was a big struggle but the student ended up apologizing to all the staff and police for his actions because he could've been sent to jail in a foreign country as he was 18.

Our art teacher once told us a story about a school trip. We live in an Italian city, very near to the historical city centre. There are Roman ruins, medieval ruins, there's a castle and there are some infrastructures from the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Basically you walk 3 minutes from the school and you are in front of a castle, so school trips in the city are rather common. One year, our art teacher took a class on a trip, and stopped in front of a church. She started explaining the history of the church to the students. She was facing the students and had the church behind her. Suddenly the students randomly start laughing. The teacher was confused at first, but then she turned around and saw what one of the boys was doing. The man was climbing up the church using the little statues stuck on the wall. Other two were riding the lion statues next to the door. The whole class was laughing and the teacher was fuming.

Not a school trip but a funny story from dad when he was in high school. Back in the mid 80's and dad and two other mates were late for class. As they were walking through one of the halls they saw this old wooden sled sitting in the middle by itself. Boys being boys they spent the next few minutes pushing the shed up and down the hall riding on it to see how fast they could do. When they heard a teacher coming they ditched it and ran to their lessons. Later that day in assembly a Sir Douglas Mawson exhibition came along to present things from his first trip to Antarctica, and turns out that shed they had been riding on in the hallway was the exact one that Mawson had ridden on in Antarctica.

Actually had something similar happen when I was at school. We went to visit a monastery and as we were told to go inside for a tour the girls were told they were not allowed to go in. They were instructed to go outside and try to count how many bricks there were on the building - for an hour

I remember in Year 7, my school were having a camp at the towns museum. On the first day of activities, my house, Kowhai, went to Toka Toka and we were about to have lunch. We sat underneath a tree but there were a couple wasp nests on the ground. One of the teachers, who was also my teacher, said it was fine until a student pointed out the one above us, the largest wasp nest I've ever seen. We moved away from that tree after that. EDIT: The next day, we got to dig for Kauri Gum. That was fine, I even got a few pieces myself, but we had to be careful because their we wasp nests in the ground. I would also like to say that the camp was fine. We did have to take cold showers because it was WW2 based but still fine. It was also when I learnt that I was in the Kowhai/Yellow house instead of the red house (my older brother was in that house so I assumed I would be as well).
Here in the UK, our GCSE Media class took a trip to Cineworld to watch apparently the last ever screening of the first Sherlock Holmes (with RDJ) and it really was the last ever screening since 10 minutes in the screen just burnt away as the film reel just decided to set alight! About 3 hours until the coach so we just went to McDonalds and running around Asda for the remainder of the time.

bro these trips r crazyy, my school trip was w the whole school (since it was a tiny ass school), this was back in primary. but anyways, we went to the movies and we also walked there since it wasnt that far. it was very fun
8:20 problem is though I’m assuming by uk standards there were 1 teacher and 1 ta supervising about 30 kids in potential fatal situations if they were to say no sunscreen no waterpark then one of the teachers would have to keep an eye on the kids not wanting sunscreen while the 1 other teacher would have to try to supervise about 20-25 kids at once and make sure none drowned

We went on a class trip to a university in a snow storm, the driver insisted he knew a short cut on a road called “snake pass” during this storm… our bus slid off the road and fell on the side with the door facing the floor and we were stuck for 5 to 6 hours before a guy with a pick up truck managed to pull out partially turned bus back with wheels on the floor so we could drive home. 30 car accidents happened on that road that day It was freezing cold and I remember not liking my class that much😂 We went Morrison’s on the way back for food and I was never that cold or hungry as I was then before that trip

Accidentally ended up in a brothel in Bulgaria on a high school ski trip. The teachers bought us some hot chocolate and we all said nothing when we got back. To be fair to the teachers, it did have a small food area.
I went to school in the US and for spring break the French and spanish classes, always planned a trip to go to Spain and France. While we were in France a bunch of us were pick pocketed, and we met an super racist women, that was basically spitting in our face and yelling at us to go back to where we were from, police had to get involved it was an ordeal.

Our school did a trip from Toledo, Ohio to Orlando, Florida. We rented tour buses and drove both ways. On our way back Ohio was having a blizzard; we ended up having to stop in Lima, Ohio. A lot of students, teachers and volunteers were ready to be home it had been a long trip and drive. Mother Nature had other plans, the snow storm trapped us down there for 2-3 days. Luckily a local hotel was kind enough to host all of us without notice. They surprised us with breakfast/dinner dedicated to us in a private dining hall every day. We went to the local bowling alley and movie theater to pass time throughout the days. What started as being trapped after a long school trip and drive became a whole new trip in itself just hours from our home town. Although this was supposed to be bad trips, and I have a few of those I figured I’d share a positive one.
I think the weirdest school trip I went on was to a place which replicated an old Australian colony but what was weird was that there was a guy there who was the 'teacher' and he was threatening to whip us and they made us wash some clothes. Overall the trip kind of weirded me out and they tried to scare us the whole time.

I grew up in a small town so school trips were usually pretty lame but my second grade trip took the cake. We went to a wastewater treatment facility… it was basically just a lot of walking and trying not to gag at the sight and smell of the feces. Not exactly a weird trip, but very annoying. When I was in year 9, our year was promised a class trip in our maths classes if we did well on our mocks. We were all excited as my school never did school trips, and almost every teenager hates maths, so it was a good motivation. However, our school decided to have two trips. Set 1 and 2 (the highest sets) went on one trip, and sets 3 & 4 (the lower sets) went on the other. I was in set 1, so our class thought we’d go on the better trip, since we all scored much higher on our mocks. However our trip was to a museum, whereas the lower set kids went to Thorpe park (fun theme park here) for the day. Safe to say our group was not happy as we had to go on a boring trip despite scoring much higher than the other group, where half of them actually failed their exams.

In Estonia we had plenty of cruise trips to sweden, ship departures 6pm and arrives 10am, it was like known secret party trip, everyone got drunk both ways and every school teacher knew about this, but as far as i remember atleast some classes went on cruise trip every year, personally i went to that trip like 3 times and all times it was 2day huge party for students while there was teachers around

My school trip, well college trip organized by my Uni was pretty nice. We went to Milan, stayed in a hotel, had presentations in a 5* hotel, ate at a legit restaurant sponsored by the Uni, went drinking with the teachers and partying at night... Itt was pretty great.

I've heard of a mad school trip So this happened like years and years before me and was in another school but in the same distract. Basically all the children (around 14-15) went on a trip to Greenland and the teachers had to even carry guns for no polar bear attacks. Well one of the kids was still playing outside in the dark and hadn't been called in later the kid was killed (pretty graphic) by the polar bear and the parents sued. Ye soz that was a bit dark

I went to Barcelona for a football tour holiday when I was 14 with my school and we went to a water park on one of the days. Some maaaad memories created in that trip 😅🤣
Once I went on a school trip where the ferry back to England from Normandy was so rough that almost every person on our trip vomited at least once. Me and my friend didn't know we weren't allowed on the deck and an enormous wave flew over the boat, soaking all of us while our classmates threw up downstairs, while we were filming a music video. In fact on that same trip, we were allowed to go wherever we wanted in a theme park called Festyland. It was amazing and me and my mates had loads of fun, but when we met back up to go back to the hotel on the bus, two girls came in 20 minutes late. It turned out that they'd both put all their stuff (including their phones and money) in one bag, which was now missing. The staff didn't check lost property or CCTV but we had to get on the bus anyway, and go to a supermarket to buy food for the following day. When we came out the staff said the bag was found so we had to drive all the way back to Festyland, get the bag, then go home. Nightmare, but the best trip ever.

I once went on a school trip in year 6 to a zoo and in the petting zoo one kid hopped the fence to the llama pen and he ran all the way into the little llama barn/pen and we had keepers come in and chase the llamas away so they could catch the kid lmao

20 years ago here in Greece a bus full of schoolkids(15-16) had an accident out of Final destination with 21 dead children. Basically crashed sideway with a truck with melamines. They were returning from a school trip but instead of getting home safe, their parents were searching for them in the hospitals to learn if they were dead or alive(some were trapped inside the destroyed bus for 2 hours next to their dead schoolmates). If I recall correctly whoever was sitting in the left side of the bus was beheaded, whoever was dancing(common here in Greece during school trips) was cut in half and the people that survived and trapped were the ones sitting on the right side.
in year three we had a school trip to the local tesco supermarket to see how the shelves were arranged. i will never forget the look on the teaches face when she found out kids had bought money to spend on sweets
10:15 LOLOLOL we had a trip like this too XD, whenever the teacher is checking on us room by room at the hotel and we were like 6+ chilling in a room. we had to hide in the closet, under the beds and even one of us went on top of the wardrobe XD. BEST TIME OF OUR LIVES.
Went on a school trip to Kenya and then one by one everyone started catching a really bad stomach virus. So bad that one of the teachers was hospitalised. I feel sorry for the people sharing the flight home with us!!

I'm from Pennsylvania and when I was in 6th grade we went on a field trip to Ontario, Canada. We were there for three days, two nights. We got to do a ton of stuff like go under the waterfalls, ride the maid of the mist, eat at the Hard Rock cafe for every meal, rode on the whirlpool aero car, and we went into all the shops and cool places on Clifton Hill like Ripley's believe it or not museum. In 5th grade we went to Washington DC for 2 days, 1 night. And in 7th through 9th i was in choir so we went to a different amusement parks each year. But the field trips are crap anymore.... They don't get to do much of anything if at all now a days🤷♀️🤦♀️
In my first primary school we would go to the local Indy theatre and watch kids movies the only ones I remember are Wallace and Gromit and ratatouille
