    • Nah lol he was a bruiser that showed stupid agility the DAY he started getting Carrie’s biggest travesty in this era he let his agent ruin his career. That offense was built around him and he left the contract dispute affect his play and team’s chemistry and he’s the first to admit it. It was an entire season of watching a faster version of Mike Alstott. I think Marion Barber and Hillis were the last great contact first runners taking nothing away from the Henry’s and Chubbs of the current era

    • Certainly the most surprising. Out of all the Madden cover athletes, every one of them was either a superstar, a well established player, or a breakout QB. The chances of someone like Hillis winning again is astronomical and tells you just how remarkable his season was. Adrian Peterson wasn’t even able to get on the cover after his 2000 yard season.

  • You know Belichick absolutely HATED to lose this to Mangini, who used to be Belichick’s best friend until he went to the Jets and reported Bill for Spygate. Mangini ruined himself with that move, Belichick had said he would recommend Mangini for any head coaching job except for the Jets yet Mangini didn’t listen, and when he inevitably failed he had burned all his bridges. It was a ridiculous hire for Cleveland, very much like the Jets years later hiring Adam Gase, but for Mangini at least he had this one game on Bill before getting canned. Meanwhile his former colleagues Scott Pioli, Romeo Crennel, and Matt Cassel were busy taking a very average Chiefs team to the playoffs the same year; that eventually fell apart too the very next year but at least they hadn’t burned all their bridges like Mangini. That’s why the Mangenius is on FS1 instead of coaching in the NFL…

  • The greatest one-year wonder in NFL history. If Hillis didn't get greedy with his contract in the ensuing years, he would've been a star with the Browns for many years to come. Nevertheless, his career burned out and he was out of the league in just a few years. 😞😞😞

He had a great year but the odds of him getting picked over any of the star QBs is astronomical. Adrian Peterson didn’t even get to be on the cover of Madden 25 after his 2000 yard season. That just gives you an idea of how incredible this season was for Hillis. Although something that probably helped his case was the Patriots shockingly going one and done to the Sanchize in the playoffs after a 14-2 season in which Brady was named the unanimous NFL MVP. If they go to a super bowl that year, Hillis has no chance of being on the cover.

    • Well there was that one game in 2013 where the browns had a 2 score lead in the final minute, only for Brady to lead an improbable comeback, which included the Patriots recovering an onside kick. The Browns still had a chance to win at the end but missed the FG.

  • 💥💥 I'm not a browns fan but I still got my Madden 12 with hillis on the cover for my black Xbox 360 that I still have. Madden 12 was the last Madden that I bought. All the Madden aftter Madden 12 are pure garbage.

    • Hillis was "never the same again" not because of the cover curse but because of racist backlash from Vick fans. He also had to deal with an organization that didn't want him anymore after Mangini got fired.

  • And I'm sure most fans will be thinking as they're watching this something dumb like, "Well, at least the Browns got Brady one time..." 🙄 🤦 Gosh how I loathe Tom Brady.. I'm a lifelong Browns fan, and I get absolutely nothing out of watching stuff like this.. Okay, so we beat him once, BIG WHOOP.. I would've liked to beat him 30 more times! 😠

    @johnsolo534@johnsolo534 Жыл бұрын
    • But isn’t it nice that you beat him at least once? It could be worse, you could be a Cowboys fan like me, and watch your team have a total of 0 wins against Brady in his entire career.

    • @@tommyl.dayandtherunaways820 That's my point.. I would hope or wish that YOU would have wanted or wished that your Cowboys would've beaten him 10+ times.. Personally, I find Brady overrated, and this idea that he's just unbeatable with certain teams to be misleading, so I'd hope that if Brady beats you, especially if it's on some flukey last minute drive where he suddenly comes alive, or his defense makes some great play in a one-possession game 😆 people would question what they're watching and think, "hmmm that was suspicious, we should've won that game, but because _______________ happened, Brady wins again.." But yeah, I've gotten used to it, so it is what it is
