He was the 1st white 1000 yard rusher in the nfl for 25 years
WOW, didn't know that, to bad his career didn't go far. Helluva game though!
What about mark alstott
@@dennisotoole8521 he never hit 1k yards. He was close though. 949 in '99
@@xavierblue744 close enough. What about Jim Taylor for the packers.

This game single handedly put Peyton Hillis on the cover of Madden
I think it was his whole season..leading the league in rushing.
This and the Carolina games stood out to me. He was a grinder in both and clearly the difference for the offense.
Nah lol he was a bruiser that showed stupid agility the DAY he started getting Carrie’s biggest travesty in this era he let his agent ruin his career. That offense was built around him and he left the contract dispute affect his play and team’s chemistry and he’s the first to admit it. It was an entire season of watching a faster version of Mike Alstott. I think Marion Barber and Hillis were the last great contact first runners taking nothing away from the Henry’s and Chubbs of the current era
ah yes, the good old times when you were *ALLOWED* to sack Tom Brady
Got me nostalgic for the times when Elvis Dumervil or Jay Alford bulldozed em. I’m a big fan of Brady but they’ve gotten ridiculous with protecting him and other star QB’s.
Actually the refs were protecting Brady for a bit after his season ending ACL injury in 2008.
@@PipeGuy64Bit Yeah, looking at that “roughing the passer” against Baltimore back in 2009. But once in awhile they let him play like a football player, mostly when he goes against Denver in feels like
@The Big Happy. Brady only ever had 34 roughing the passer calls state back from 09 to 2022. Matt Ryan and Ryan Fitzpatrick are number 1 and 2 with 56 and 52. Brady is behind Cam Newton who has 35. There’s a site called NFL penalties that show this stat.
Look up "Nate Clements Drills Tom Brady" on youtube for a hit that would get him suspended today
Peyton Hillis prolly the most interesting Madden Cover winner
Certainly the most surprising. Out of all the Madden cover athletes, every one of them was either a superstar, a well established player, or a breakout QB. The chances of someone like Hillis winning again is astronomical and tells you just how remarkable his season was. Adrian Peterson wasn’t even able to get on the cover after his 2000 yard season.
@@tommyl.dayandtherunaways820 it was a complete shame he wasn’t on the cover after his 2k season
You know Belichick absolutely HATED to lose this to Mangini, who used to be Belichick’s best friend until he went to the Jets and reported Bill for Spygate. Mangini ruined himself with that move, Belichick had said he would recommend Mangini for any head coaching job except for the Jets yet Mangini didn’t listen, and when he inevitably failed he had burned all his bridges. It was a ridiculous hire for Cleveland, very much like the Jets years later hiring Adam Gase, but for Mangini at least he had this one game on Bill before getting canned. Meanwhile his former colleagues Scott Pioli, Romeo Crennel, and Matt Cassel were busy taking a very average Chiefs team to the playoffs the same year; that eventually fell apart too the very next year but at least they hadn’t burned all their bridges like Mangini. That’s why the Mangenius is on FS1 instead of coaching in the NFL…
Upset of the century
I forgot about this game! Imagine if Hillis had a full career, he'd have crazy stats
Go look at his stats outside of 2010. They were bad
He DID have a full career. He sucked for 90% of it.
@@dcatura1 Y'all are both full of shit. He produced for every team he played for. People in here seem to be forgetting he was a fullback, not a halfback. He didn't get the touches that halfbacks get, nor the flashy play calls. Yet for the brief period he played, he forced NFL coaches to take a mostly neglected position seriously again.
The greatest one-year wonder in NFL history. If Hillis didn't get greedy with his contract in the ensuing years, he would've been a star with the Browns for many years to come. Nevertheless, his career burned out and he was out of the league in just a few years. 😞😞😞
Even as Peyton Hillis' career flamed out, the Maddens after 12 still had him listed at a 80-90 OVR lol. He was dominant in those games until he was delisted.
Yea I don't know about that contract point. I think he would've ended in that same situation with the browns
Being greedy didn’t prevent him from being a star, being a bad player did. He averaged 3.6 yards per carry in the two years after 2010. He sucked
Actually he's not the greatest one year Wonder in NFL history it's been other players who had better one year seasons than Peyton hillis.
Greg Cook is the best one year wonder in NFL history and it isnt close
12:12 A young Brian Daboll for you keen eyed individuals
Nobody going to mention that's Colt McCoy from University of Texas looking sharp vs the Patriots
I was stunned when the score of this one kept scrolling at the bottom of my tv.
Miss this era colts played eagles that same night in a classic
Good memories that day
Aaron Hernandez showed a real killer instinct in this game.
Ooh!
Dayum
yup, and the rest of the team kinda left him hanging.
He would have been better than gronk 🤷🏿♂️👁️
The most shocking upset of all time is the Giants in the Super Bowl
💯
The Patriots were actually only favored by about 12 points in super bowl 42, which is a touchdown less than the 19 1/2 points the Colts were favored by in Super Bowl III
Why? They played a month before that game and the pats only won by 3. The teams weren’t that far off.
If Hernandez wasn’t a murderer POS, him and gronk would’ve been the best 1-2 TE combo in the history of the nfl for sure
They were the deadliest TE corps ever.
Man I really forgot about this game , but this was an absolute stunner just unbelievable
12:40 eric mangini has the biggest dab of all time in there lmfao
Only a true patriots fans remembers Hernandez scored the only two TDs of the game for us.
Straight out of Arkansas. Him Darren McFadden and Felix jones who both went 1st round same draft both rb and Hillis fb unstoppable running offense
When gus malzahn invented the wild hog
Pretty sure BB told hillis after the game that was one of the best rushing performances he’s ever seen
He lost a fumble lol why would bill say that
@@reppingl Literally every running back fumbles from time to time.

Then he choked against the jets
@@terrancelee437 yup
Conway Arkansas’s finest Peyton Hillis 💪🏼
I definitely liked these uniforms for the browns more than the current ones the helmets is slightly a lighter orange and the grey face mask is better than the brown ones
Look at bill going up to hillis at the end
I remember in an interview Hillis gave a bit ago - he said Bill found him out of all the people on the field and told him "that was one of the best performances I've ever seen".. shame Peytons career fizzled out after this.
Too bad Hillis got sick/hurt and tried to sit the rest of the year out for a bigger contract but never got it and never really played after this season
I remember watching this at my friend Kenny's house just partying and may he rest In peace If he is reading this upstairs
I remember this 😢
When I heard "Touchdown Hernandez" I said this game is old old 😐
He was killing it in his rookie year.
He killed for more than his rookie year. 😜
@@dcatura1 What can ya say. Some players like Hernandez just have that killer instinct that sets them apart 😉

10:38 Aaron Hernandez again
Went to the preseason game rams @ browns that year believe it was Hillis's debut with browns! It freaking poured almost the whole game!
The Patriots went into this game expecting to just walk through the Browns...They took them for granted, and got that ass whooped!!!
The Browns haven't beaten New England since this game. What do you know...
I remember during the late 2010's many people had no idea about this upset and kept discovering this game via the ticker in other games that same Sunday Also BTW that year the Patriots only lost *twice* during the regular season
One game to the browns and another to the Sanchize himself. Even more humiliating is they lost to him again in the playoffs. This would be the last time the Patriots went one and done in the playoffs until 2019.

Aron Hernandez what a legend
At that time anyway…

Hillis was great but how about Colt McCoy?
Man I'll never forget watching this game! me and all the guys got to our buddies house & set up shop on his back patio! Brought the flat screen outside, had the grill going!! Our whole friend group was coming in and out, people I haven't seen in forever showed up! Beers were flowing! Footballs were being tossed around! Was such a fun day being a Browns fan! Most of us also took off work the next day so we continued to party into the evening~ What a fun season that was.
Just thought of it. When a 3rd round QB with a 7th round RB beats a 6th round QB with an undrafted RB. These games are what I miss, and just won't see anymore in today's NFL.
Whn belichick seeks u out to let u knw that u impressed him....well... im speechless.
Then New England never lost another until the Jets embarrassed them in the divisional round
Great performance and game
The phrase Any Given Sunday is true to this! But this game made the Browns look like a SB contender for a week.
12:10 Brian Daboll
No game epitomizes "any given Sunday" quite like this one
Hernandez really killed it in this game
We trucked those guys
Once i saw 2010, week 9. i knew it was a great game for the browns
The first of Tom Brady's two career losses against the Browns. I was there on both occasions.
Man when I tell u we all was drinking the colt mccoy juice in Cleveland after this game
this game is a trip down memory lane to when aaron hernandez was still alive
Now: G.O.A.T. loses a blowout to the Browns 😂😂😂 12 years later: G.O.A.T. loses to the browns in OT 😂😂😂
Love my Browns
This is what happens when one team shows up for a paycheck, but the other one comes to play
Imo this was the best pats team other than 2007 and (maybe?) 2004. The offense was prolly better than the 07’ team
What about 2011 and 2012?
@@aaronjackson9385 2011 team was good, defense was worse than 2010 tho. 2012 the team was slightly, and I mean, slightly above average for pats standards, but that’s about it
@@mariosnum1fan i juet now realized that you said team. My bad, I thought you mean from an offensive standpoint only. It was late at night, sorry for the confusion.
@@aaronjackson9385 yeah, I think offense for 2011 was good, I just think 2010 was better. 2012 was perhaps the worst of the three
@@mariosnum1fan no the 2013 offense was the worst of the Brady belicheck era
This Browns team didn’t have much talent but they had a lot of heart and discipline. I wish we had Eric Mangini as a coach now.
4:23 AARON HERNANDEZ
Peyton Hillis being the madden cover athlete in Madden 12 would be like Jonathan Taylor being on the cover of Madden 23. He had a great year but the odds of him getting picked over any of the star QBs is astronomical. Adrian Peterson didn’t even get to be on the cover of Madden 25 after his 2000 yard season. That just gives you an idea of how incredible this season was for Hillis. Although something that probably helped his case was the Patriots shockingly going one and done to the Sanchize in the playoffs after a 14-2 season in which Brady was named the unanimous NFL MVP. If they go to a super bowl that year, Hillis has no chance of being on the cover.
AP was on the cover for the PS4 and Xbox One versions…so…you’re wrong.
@@OfficialBugBoi Sure, but how many people really saw that cover? The game released on Xbox 360 and PS3, that’s the version 99% of people saw. That’s the one they actually put the most effort into the cover athlete search. The newer Gen version was an afterthought. If they’d really wanted him on the cover, they would’ve put him on the version everyone was gonna be playing. So my point still stands.
Peyton Hillis recently almost died a few months back trying to save his niece and son from a riptide in the ocean, he got the back then had to be revived I think
Could’ve been an even better mike alstott
Brian Hoyer is the only person on the Patriots in this game that is a Patriot this year.
Could anyone tell me the play by play guys name? I feel like I never hear him anymore
Bill Macatee and Rich Gannon were calling this one, according to the interwebs.
Browns- 34 Murderers- 14
Is this the game when Wes Welker kicked that field goal?
Thanks
0:13 Am I the only one who thinks that Cleveland Brown fan in the dog mask is horrifying? 😅
U know this game is bad news bears when patriots first td is to a murderer
# 47 is Lawrence Vickers . He was a TE that was the main reason Hillis had a great hole to run through . In 2011 they traded him to Dallas and the hole disappeared as did Peyton's production . It was still fun to watch . Chubb is so much better but the coach is an idiot .
The browns had 2 of the best weeks in a row during an otherwise shitty season. I think before or after this game they also blew out the Saints in New Orleans which is saying something.
Hillis was big, fast and deceptive. How long did he play??
Imagine Chubb and Peyton 1-2 punch
Ya back when NFL was still fun to watch.
Hi
Hi
Back when folks didn’t think Brady would ever win another Super Bowl title. …….except me of course.
Ah the last time the browns vs pats was a good game Every browns vs pats game is usually a fuckfest
Well there was that one game in 2013 where the browns had a 2 score lead in the final minute, only for Brady to lead an improbable comeback, which included the Patriots recovering an onside kick. The Browns still had a chance to win at the end but missed the FG.
💥💥 I'm not a browns fan but I still got my Madden 12 with hillis on the cover for my black Xbox 360 that I still have. Madden 12 was the last Madden that I bought. All the Madden aftter Madden 12 are pure garbage.
Ah yes back when you were ALLOWED to sack to tom
Don't get too ahead of yourselves clowns. Hillis was never the same again, because of the madden cover curse, and you went back to basement after this game
Hillis was "never the same again" not because of the cover curse but because of racist backlash from Vick fans. He also had to deal with an organization that didn't want him anymore after Mangini got fired.
@@yeomanefinally someone who speaks the truth. He was a superior talent. 240 lbs, 4.5 - 40, quick feet and soft hands. Shame the Browns had to… be the Browns and squander both a good coach and good running back.
And I'm sure most fans will be thinking as they're watching this something dumb like, "Well, at least the Browns got Brady one time..." 🙄 🤦 Gosh how I loathe Tom Brady.. I'm a lifelong Browns fan, and I get absolutely nothing out of watching stuff like this.. Okay, so we beat him once, BIG WHOOP.. I would've liked to beat him 30 more times! 😠
But isn’t it nice that you beat him at least once? It could be worse, you could be a Cowboys fan like me, and watch your team have a total of 0 wins against Brady in his entire career.
@@tommyl.dayandtherunaways820 That's my point.. I would hope or wish that YOU would have wanted or wished that your Cowboys would've beaten him 10+ times.. Personally, I find Brady overrated, and this idea that he's just unbeatable with certain teams to be misleading, so I'd hope that if Brady beats you, especially if it's on some flukey last minute drive where he suddenly comes alive, or his defense makes some great play in a one-possession game 😆 people would question what they're watching and think, "hmmm that was suspicious, we should've won that game, but because _______________ happened, Brady wins again.." But yeah, I've gotten used to it, so it is what it is
@@tommyl.dayandtherunaways820 you guys ended up blowing out brady in the playoffs, congrats, lol
