If this ban is effected, it will really affect us with small channels that can't afford to pay for subscriptions.

Wow! This doesn't look good at all, I pray this won't happen to Capcut because for me, it's the best and simplest editing software in town and it has made Video Editing simple and interesting to learn. Many thanks Collin for sharing. God bless you!

Europe is strict on privacy too and probably more countries will follow. Hopefully Capcut and other apps will adapt before getting banned.
Banned in India too LOL. So 2 of the largest English speaking countries in the world.

If it happens I know there will be no updates but if you currently have the app, why wouldn't it keep working? You could get effects and music from different sources. If you want to edit a clip , add b-roll content why wouldn't this very stable app work if you are already a free user?

They can’t get the PC version of CapCut off my PC and it’s not in a store like the App Store or Google play that will be forced to remove it from their stores..
Capcut is on track to get its own version of after effect with a community creating new stuff. If this bill goes through, it won't happen.
For me I find Capcut’s library is amazing to search for anything. Things you would normally have to pay for on another platform, not to mention the avatars you would have to pay for somewhere else .

I don’t understand why this debate is still going after many months I like TikTok and CapCut. I personally do not believe the things they say they are doing with TikTok. If CapCut gets banned and we already have it installed will it just disappear or will we still be able to use it but just not available from the app stores?

Guys its not the end of the world if capcut goes away. Just start looking for replacements now. Tech goes away for a bunch of reasons all the time.

This will make me so sad. I love capcut. It's become my favorite video editing product, but I only use it on my PC so I don't need it on an app store.
Filmic pro is easily replaced for free with blackmagic camera. Davinci resolve can replace capcut for free but (studio is $95)t's only for newer ipads (ipad pro with M1 at least). **Edit... For desktop, davinci resolve is also free unless you get the studio version for $295 (if you get the speed editor for $395 you get resolve studio for free). For editing youtube videos, the free davinci resolve will fill the needs of most youtube editing

its not just about tiktok as a company but if that bill is approved that means they can ban any app / social media that they dont like so in that case no free speech

no biggie. KZhead / Google or Adobe will just build on their tech and make a similar app to use - CapCut and TikTok are using info and intel
I have 10 DJI drones. I don't tick tock. I use Capcut as a learning tool so when it ends, I'll at least, know how to step up to Windows Moviemaker.
