Jeff! Toyota should at least provide full Softtex on this XLE trim for the $41k they are charging. It’s just ridiculous they charge a premium price without giving Softtex seats.

I love those fabric seats! I always love grey fabric seats with nice patterns to them. And this has the nicest since the volvo s60
I got xle passed other variants and completely agree with ya for the price this is worth every $$$

I’d miss the sunroof and better stereo more than leather. Although the lack of a sunroof might be a good thing, as I’m 6’1” and I’ve read that this car is headroom-challenged.

@@oldsnwbrdrthe base stereo on in my wife's xlt crown is pretty darn good...almost as good as the 12 speaker b&o in my ride other than the sub vibrations being absent the bass is decent...of course the 11 speaker one I'm sure is better but its pretty capable. Being 6'2" the extra headroom without the sunroof makes me happy and while i do like a sunroof i much prefer the extra headroom.

Leather is overrated in America. Literally every other country sees cloth as luxurious. I personally hate leather. It cracks. Is slippery and smells like a dead animal. 🤣
Own a 4Runner Limited,could care less for the leather and sunroof.This having a little extra ride height than a normal sedan might be a good compromise as a replacement.The better mpg's certainly doesn't hurt.

Its a shame they don't add the option to replace the Toyota badge with the Crown badge
Love the fabric seats. Leather is so over rated and gets so worn looking so quick especially the driver seat bolstering. Partial Cloth just looks so much better in this!!!
The cloth in our 2000 Celica is fine.
The seats do remind you of Volvo and the premium wool fabric option Volvo offers. They look so nice.

The Crowd should be a full size sedan, but the internal space looks not much different than my old Camry which consider as middle size sedan?

What is the ground clearance? What about driving in snow?

Why is Toyota not offering a regular size opening sunroof?? Also, I want the Limited tech package but with the 19 inch rims because they will ride better on thicker side wall & be less expensive to replace
19” wheels do not ride better. Less tire less ride quality

The non opening one takes up enough headroom...a slider would limit it to drivers under 6 ft...the non opening one is bad enough and I barely fit...we chose the xle for that very reason...I'm 6'2" and my son is 6'3.5"...the headroom in the xle is just right. The cloth seats are really nice cloth and are actually more comfortable than the leather ones. Also my wife's ocd made the only viable color black or the gray...the black strip on the side on red made her reject it and the white...lol. It gets 41.5 mpg average with me driving on a trip...which is a true miracle...my wife gets around 43.5 average so Toyota as usual actually delivers the mpg promised and then some. We test drove some that were spoken for and waited. We ended up with the black one...it was simply because it was available...it and a venza just showed up on the that weekend after final closing at our local dealer...we called our salesman that day and hit the dealership at 9 am the next business day.
It's all about cost and saved weight from a non opening sunroof. Toyota needs to suck every penny you got out of your pocket from saving money on their side.

No A/C seats or 360 camera is a bummer tho.
At 236 hp better go for camry 6. The 340 hp one may be diff. Dont expect to win any races with either

Ridiculous that this XLE doesn't come with a heated steering wheel.... Have to spend a few thousand more to get it! (higher trim level).
I'm a little disappointed that the ground clearance isn't any better than the Camry.

@@danielhabte7847 we got my wife a '22 hybrid sport. It's very nice, all around. We get slightly better mpg than advertised. Personally I'm debating between the crown and the new 2023 accord touring.

I like this, but this starting XLE would likely be slightly more expensive than the top tier Accord. I hate the design of the pop up media displays vs the integrated ones. If I can arrange my budget correctly or miraculously get a 20% raise I'd get a limited w/tech package and macadamea interior (basically the cost lexus ES 350 w/ decent add ons smh), but most likely I'll try to get an Accord Sport Hybrid.
My Toyota Crown in the 90s was a luxury.

You can’t be serious lmao The crown is already a disaster. Look at it. It looks really ugly outside and the interior isn’t even nicer than a Camry XSE 😂. And the hybrid max powertrain can’t even outperform a Camry v6 😂. And the crown has less space especially headroom, and the crown lacks a hud and a proper opening pano roof
@James Brady go ahead laugh. A Camry XSE looks way better, has a nicer interior, better features, similar legroom and trunk size, more headroom, same performance as the fastest crown, better handling, and a smoother engine
