    • Every time I see Cathy Newman, she is interviewing brilliant people, yet she would rather funnel her vapid ideology into the viewer's ears, than allow them to actually learn something. As horrid as media like Fox News actually is, she is at the very least every bit as bad. When I realized this interview was Channel 4, I almost canceled the clip. Almost immediately I wished I had done, as she makes learning anything impossible.

    • I see now why so many americans abandon reason. You're all so full of hate. Your ignorance is so powerful that you would rather a person die than hear what they have to say. I recognise this behaviour, you used to lead us in every way but now I see in you what I saw in my own people in 1992. In December 1989 tens of thousands of Romanians took to the streets agains communism (a system far more oppressive than the US is today), tanks and machine guns fired at them killing hundreds upon hundreds, yet day after day they kept coming. Eventually some military generals simply stopped following orders, they could not butcher their own people. What followed looked a lot like the USA today, people finally had a voice and they, just like you, stopped thinking and started hating. Blinded by hate and a speech not unlike Trumps they voted without thinking. The president and the party they voted for plunged our country into economical darkness, it took us over 15 years to recover from severe poverty. We call that election day "The Sunday of the Blind". Open your eyes. It's true that you have weak candidates, so did we. It's true that the system has been unfair to you but if you reason with hate (as you clearly are) you are just as blind as those who destroyed my country with their ignorance.

    • This is the ignorance I'm talking about, I didn't say a single thing about the Vatican yet you tell me to shut up about it. You confirm everything I fear, you hate me for things I didn't even say because you don't read, and you don't use your brain. You just hate me for no reason, you have a feeling you should hate me so you just do. Seems like I'm your enemy right? But what did I do to you? All I wrote was a cautionary tale and all I wanted with that is to warn you against something I lived through and you don't have to. But... you don't even read, I'm not sure why I'm replying.

      @radu1337@radu13378 жыл бұрын
    • Again, I've said nothing about being nice, I said you're ignorant, which you keep proving you are by not even talking about the same thing I am. You have no idea what I'm saying, you fail to understand. That's why you're not nice, ignorants are violent and stupid, the opposite of nice.

      @grixlipanda287@grixlipanda2877 жыл бұрын
    • He does call them out many times, but you haven't researched him enough. But he only calls them out when his judgement leads there. You with you judgement have different conclusions, he has different conclusions. He is a scientist so works on logic and proof. And I don't know if that is the case with you.

    • His main focus is attacking American foreign policy as the boogey-man for Israel national policy and bolstering communism as that is a Jewish ideology he supports. The reason why his thesis is so flawed and ultimately unengaging is that he is always doing a slight of hand with the evidence. His intelligence lies in making people like you think that what he is saying has any legitmacy, which makes you the worst kind of dupe. The emporer has no clothes.

  • She relentlessly reframes and confines the issue to a narrow discussion of the particular viewpoints and effects of individual--albeit prominent--politicians. The systemic nature of the issues Chomsky talks about are outside, and in fact transcend, mainstream beltway discourse. I think George Orwell's lesser known quote from Animal Farm's introduction, a quote which Chomsky mentions a lot, applies to the interviewer--she received a top education, and so is a victim to elite intellectual pruning.
