ROCK SINGER REACTS | Dimash - The Story Of One Sky Reaction

This one couldn't of come more highly recommended. It's one of the most dramatic and epic pieces of music I've ever heard, and as usual Dimash is throwing every trick in the singer's book at expressing himself within it. Let's listen and see what we can learn from it.

  • Hello Gray! Thank you for your sincere reaction! Have you noticed that Dimash is the main solder right from the very beginning of the war scene, when he was shot in the arm, many people miss that? When I first watched this MV, it broke me, I became very emotional, it was heart wrenching, to say the least!😢 Dimash has worked very hard for 3 years composing the music for this song, and around 20 days to make this MV. It turned out to be his most valuable MV, in the ideological sense, ever made, a real Masterpiece! I believe that Dimash deserves THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE for his selfless hard work and tireless efforts, not only for this MV, but for trying to bring the world together in love, peace and harmony, through his music, MVs and many charities he dedicates his time to. He is a Legend and will go down in History. The mini movie is full of symbolisms, it's the story of 3 youths, and the necklace which was made by the young Dimash and shared with his friends symbolizing lifelong friendship and unity. The Piper grew up and started a war, using the symbol of the necklace as the crest on his army uniform. This is my breakdown of the story, as I see it: 1) Dimash, who was drowning at the beginning and at the end. 2) The Piper, the one who saved Dimash, and who became the leader, and who was killed by Dimash at the end. 3) The young girl, who died in childbirth, became Dimash’s future wife, had two children together; a daughter who was killed by the Piper's army; and the birth of a son at the end, who inherited the necklace from her mother…, they were all torn by the war. For the symbolic aspects, Dimash is showing the different cultures and religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hindi, etc.), through throat singing, which is called the REQUIEM (mass for the souls of the dead), from different religions. The Pilgrim, Shepard or Wise Man at the end of the video was Dimash’s newborn son, born in his image and grows up to guide the Representatives of different religions and race from different Nations to the light, for a new beginning living together in peace, tolerance, love and harmony. I’m choosing life!!🙏🙏 See you in your next reaction. Love from Canada 💖

  • Every note that Dimash sings is made by his vocal cords, no microphone or other tricks that other singers use. He is pure 100% and for this the WORLD should appreciate an artist like him. I should say THE ARTIST 😊 Love from London❤

  • This song is perfection both emotionally and vocally. To me, and I'm sure to many, it's the best thing anyone has ever sung and recorded, and the most valuable. There may still be questions about why so many people believe that Dimash is the best? I don't know, maybe only a robot will be emotionless after watching and listening to this video. This is a masterpiece of the century that will remain in history. #songofcentury #thebestuniquegeniussinger

    • I've never heard anyone so masterfully use distortion to convey a feeling to their audience like Dimash did at the climax of this piece. It was on another level in terms of the vocal delivery and the song/vocal composition with the way it built everything towards that moment.

    • @@Grays_Plays I heard you say that on the video and am reading it again now and cannot tell you how happy it makes me to do so given there have been naysayers about DQ's ability to rock despite a couple other tunes with a little (not a lot albeit) but some distortion and yeah, he does it right without tearing his throat up & you can hear the words, power and more because of his technique. Then there's the folks who honestly say he cannot emote and I asked them if they might consider having their central auditory processing evaluated etc because Good Damned Grief if ya can't hear the cry in this man's voice in the beginning and the outright anger in his belting at the end then I gotta say it's you not him, Bud! Lolol! Know what I mean? WoW! That's all I do hear in every note he sings in the way he sings it. Maybe it's a listening problem not a hearing problem? IDK but DQ sings exactly what he means❣️

  • the film is based on a story written by Dimash with his own screenplay. (I worked on this piece for 3 years). Director Alina Veripya spoke about creating the music video for the new song: the clip is divided into several parts. The first is about childhood. The main character, two friends linked by childhood stories and symbols of eternal friendship. One day the friend saves the protagonist when he drowns. However, there is already competition in these children's story, where the boys love one girl and she chooses one. The second goes through a kind of psychological The disintegration and transformation of children's problems into an adult world of totalitarianism and struggle. When he becomes a commander, the opponent carries the idea of saving the war: the young boy who presents the tokens of friendship he made will marry the girl (Dimash). She will give birth. A baby girl (murdered) and a mother waiting for another baby. Friends were scattered, and the third friend became an enemy, friends are enemies, because of the war, It is shocking how the cry of true helplessness of a father embracing his murdered daughter is practically coupled with the cries of a woman in labor who brings a child into the traumatized world of soldier (Dimash). That he was searching for his family and that he had found the dead body of his daughter and I think believing that his pregnant wife had also died, and felt the death of life, he decides, as the only way out in that moment of uncontrollable pain is revenge. He killed the evil embodied in his opponent, and then was killed by soldiers' bullets. ,and when Dimash died, his son was born, and the mother died during childbirth. But the boy is saved by his society of different religions and races, he wears his mother's talisman. He will surely grow up and become a messenger of peace on earth, like a worthy son of his father.A symbol of a future without evil, without wars, a world moving towards peaceful coexistence. The light of hope and peace on earth,In a world without walls, without unfair constraints, without differences or contempt for different ethnic groups or nations because the supreme value above all is: love and peace We are all human beings, we share the same planet Earth, and we owe each other as "brothers" the respect for life. In the end, he joined with people of different races and religions from another era that touches the present and the future In a world without walls, without unfair constraints, without differences or contempt for different ethnic groups or nations because the supreme value above all is: love and peace We are all human beings, we share the same planet Earth, and we owe each other as "brothers" the respect for life. ,Piper represents the force Totalitarian, oppressor who is not alien to us and who understands that war is the way to make people free (real nonsense).Piper (is the name of a soldier's opponent, a soldier who only hates, annihilates and destroys. What a paradox for a friend who, in his childhood, saves soldier Dimash from drowning. But life is like this, full of changes, good and bad, Evil, war and contempt happen when we lose love for one another, and our way to God and making peace and love in the world is not difficult but possible if we work together for love and peace and stop wars, hate and contempt. It is about calling for cooperation, to save lives, love, friendship and the land of our children. “Art is a sacred message in life, and these are the true artists.. And the earth needs these reformers in their precious, true and immortal work for the sake of love and peace on earth..Thank God for his gifts

Regardless as to whether or not it's blurry, his Dears know every inch of the song as it relates to the MV & to be honest, while to you the music is what you're interested in reacting to, while DQ has said it is the MV & song's message that is most important & what he hoped viewers of the MV or his live rendition in Almaty would understand. I posted the live version here with the speech he gave & gotta say, he left it all -- his heart, soul & tears -- on that stage in Almaty. You may have caught the 1st title "Requiem" which really explains the rest of the story in full and maybe you can hear the "mass/prayer for the dead" (or maybe the living) that parts if not all of the song sounds like a "prayer" indeed. DQ put everything into his performance both in concert and in the MV. He's awesome!

  • Congratulations on the reaction! Well, some considerations: (1) The artifact that the boy found in the chest and that was transformed into necklaces is a "gnomon", a needle of a solar clock (rustic device for keeping time); (2) The name "Piper" (piper, or piper) is known as a synonym for "dictator", "despot": This originates from the tale of the "Piper of Hamelin" (folk tale rewritten by the Brothers Grim), where a piper was hired to deal with the rat infestation in the city of Hamelin (Germany, 1284). After hypnotizing the mice with his magic flute and drowning them in the River Weser, the artist went to collect the amount due (a coin per head) and was not paid (they claimed he did not present the mice's "heads"). He then hypnotized one hundred and thirty children from the city of Hamelin and locked them in a cave. Well, the "piper" (also called the "rat hunter") has become synonymous with the tyrant who uses hypnotizing speech and leads to death! (3) The term "Imagine" refers to the song of the same name by John Lennon; (4) The final text is part of the document generated at the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, held in Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan) on 09/14/2022 and was attended by Pope Francis, representing the Catholic Church.

Took 3 years to greate this, and releasing it now, it is a bold action, when we are thinking what is happening in Ukraine just now. Thinking about that fact Kazakstan got independensy only so short time ago from russian federation, as 1991. So he is born as Kazakh, but his parents as russian?? In this kind of video, I think money is not reason to do it, anyway, spent or getting it. It is protest to anykind of war between any nationalities, religions or -isms. That`s why it`s here to all of us to watch and listen.

Sending this to you & yours, Dear, with Much Love & In Solidarity while Praying for Peace. "Many thanks dear friends, before I perform the next song, let me say a few words. Thank you very much. We, the people sitting in this stadium, each of us is different, not totally alike one another, but we are all God's children, each of us with different talents. And, as I mentioned just now, right now is a bad time. In fact, I am not satisfied with the present situation. I have not seen how such situations evolved in the past, therefore I don't know what will happen next. But many people are suffering today because of a few individuals, it's really true. We, we the adults, consider ourselves to be "smarter" than the small children and innocents, but while we do our best to teach and educate our children, we forget that we also have some things to learn from those children. They are pure-hearted, kind, friendly, untainted and without egos and their love for people are pure. Young children have such qualities. I started writing this song I'm about to perform, three years ago. Generally speaking, my main purpose in writing this work is to call for peace in the world. It's a small composition that has burst out from deep within my heart. To tell you truth, many thanks to god and with your wishes I traveled to many parts of the world and met many different people during my tours. One thing I understood is that if you look at ordinary people, there is no such thing as a bad nationality, there is no bad nationality! I don't need to tell you what you already know about the reason for mentioning the topic of nationality here... Let there be peace in the world, Let there be peace. Let there be no war. Let no people, let no nationality, let no country suffer! Because after all, ordinary individuals, ordinary people are not at fault. The truth of the matter is, no ordinary person is guilty of starting a war! That's why the next song I'll be performing in your honor is about our common fate under one sky, it's called "The Story of One Sky". Hope you like it." kzhead.info/sun/fKxwmMyLrmh5mY0/bejne.html

    • Every bit of the MV is all him and his live is impeccable! Every rendition is so controlled and honestly, sounds better each time. My God the man is so freaking phenomenal vocally not to mention you missed a lot b/c you were reacting but he wrote this and there's a whole ton of symbolism in it, and let's not talk about how those lyrics may have gone through a lyricist but they first ran from his mouth to their ear. Let's not even talk about the fact he wrote the script for it nor his acting that includes real tears and real anguished screams as if he were actually in shock upon seeing his neighbors lying dead as he searched for his family with a singular tear that ran down his face or that he really was screaming in horrific pain as he held his dead child in his arms which spurred his seeking revenge. Dimash put so much of himself into this short film that when looking at it in its totality, the impact it has on the viewer who isn't reacting but just taking it all in it cannot be overstated as it is simply put a complete masterpiece and a remarkable piece of social justice art activism. The man, his music and his message are incredibly unique & virtuosic. What a gift his artistry is to us all. Truthfully.

    • Thank you very much for your comments. I'm very heavily debating doing a 2nd reaction to this where I focus on those themes, as my discussion in some of the comments here has made me reflect on some very dark experiences I've had where I was in a position where I was forced to question and almost violate my own moral values in regards to peace and conflict with other human beings, and I feel I could say a lot on that subject even if I can't comment on the horrors of war directly. I can't guarantee it'd be of any real constructive value to anyone (and that's the main reason why I've leaned my current reaction away from that side of things,) but it'd be my honest thoughts on what this piece has made me reflect on outside of my recognition and awe of the skills of the musicians and singers that have beautifully delivered this message for anyone who's genuinely interested in hearing them. On the other hand though I'm jaded as hell from past experiences trying to engage constructively with people on the internet (I've witnessed people get lost in their emotions demonizing and attempting to diminish other human beings over something as humble as discussions on vocal technique, let alone something as serious as the horrors of war,) and so I'm inclined to think that some of the people that have criticized or attempted to diminish me for being shallow, ignorant or cavalier in my reaction to this epic piece are ironically all of those things themselves on some level and simply want to watch someone echo their own thoughts and feelings so that they can vicariously enjoy the visuals of it again, rather than engage in an actual discussion on the message behind them, (let alone risk conversing with people who's thoughts and feelings might conflict with or make them question their own.) I'm sure it'd open up some interesting discussion but there's also the fact to consider that on average my viewers only watch on average about 5 minutes of my videos anyway, and if I attempted to discuss more serious matters odds are very high that whether I can do so effectively or not it'll still wind up being a very long video as I'd have a lot to say, and I honestly don't think I'm prepared to witness the kind of hypocrisy I'm worried I'll run into if the viewers claiming that they want to see something with more depth failed to engage with my attempt at an in depth video simply because it just wasn't entertaining enough. With all that in mind I think it's best to let the visuals of the piece speak for themselves rather than slap my face over them and risk distracting from the conversation people are having in regards to them, but it is tempting I must say.

  • I was at Dimash's live concert in Almaty in September of this year, where Dimash performed this song for the first time in front of a wide audience. Unfortunately, there is no video from this concert in professional quality yet, although there are a lot of fancams. It was an amazing, incomparable experience. Dimash lived, died and was reborn on stage. From his other live performances, where he uses the vocal technique of Arabic melismas, I could recommend "Strange" from "Shine! SuperBrothers Show" kzhead.info/sun/p8ybl8xoqHuploE/bejne.html At the same time, it should be taken into account that Dimash was so ill at that moment that he had to seek medical help immediately after this performance, and then leave this show altogether.

Saludos Dears

  • Love your reaction and insight. It’s true Dimash uses several (if not majority) of singing techniques deliberately to paint a story with his voice. Not many could do that and even less would do that. Some people might argue that it’s too technical as they enjoy more raw expression musically, but Dimash could do raw expression too though he might choose a finer way to do it just like his vocalise performance in “Know”. The point is he is one of the singers who has mastered many techniques that he can freely choose to use any of them is the highest Arts in singing.

    @k.vn.k@k.vn.k Жыл бұрын
    • Cheers mate, glad you enjoyed it. And yeah there's always that argument when it comes to music that somehow being technically skilled means that you lose the ability to be expressive. To be blunt I think that's complete bollocks, it opens you up if anything and you can clearly hear that in Dimash's singing in the way he's able to instinctively express his emotional intent through his voice due to his advanced skills and control with it. I've seen the same argument made by so many guitarists for example that they don't want to learn music theory because they're worried it'll somehow limit their creativity. Funny thing is that their creativity is typically limited to a few basic patterns over a very basic scale, and if there weren't so busy trying to find excuses to justify the lack of effort they put into their playing they'd recognise that. In regards to Dimash he's mastered so many impressive technical skills with his singing that I think he probably doesn't have to think very hard when trying to express his emotions in the pieces he writes and is probably more emotionally connected with his singing than those with lesser skills that would criticise him as too technical. If someone doesn't relate to the levels and layers with which a singer like Dimash can express themselves musically that's completely fine, it won't be to everyone's taste and I'm sure that some will prefer cruder forms of musical expression, but to imply that he's too technical to be able to express himself emotionally can only be an issue in the tastes of the listener and not in Dimash's singing.

  • Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than Ten(10) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "POPera" he also has a very pleasant, HUMBLE and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato, whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from USA 🇺🇸 "Dears" Forever ❤️ Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. • That would be interesting to see as Dimash clearly has plenty of other tools in his arsenal as a vocalist to express himself with. (Please wait to watch the official live version from the concert - which hopefully will be out soon on his own YT channel - by all accounts, it was totally gripping and emotional!) P.S. This is a general, global anti-war, pro-peace composition - Dimash said he had spent three years working on it, writing the music and the plotline. I feel the the message of the story here is more important than the vocals - even though they’re superb as well!

I agree, there's a massive amount more going on than what I chose to focus on in my reaction to it. I find it absolutely fascinating how effectively so many different skills from different artistic mediums have be utilized to deliver the message behind the piece and I hope that other reactors that are more capable than me in regards to those things are commenting on it. • Thank you for your reaction, Dear Gray, but for this response we'll be focusing on the man's message not his vocals which is what he instructed us to do and to promote it by sharing as no one would be forbidden by his team to react and/or share this one! There will be no blocking by him or his team! DQ wants it shared and a global dialogue to ensue on how to establish & keep a "World Without War!" There's a lot to unpack & dependent upon a person's frame of reference, their interpretation of the video & DQ's message will undoubtedly be colored by their own preconceptions & life experiences, etc. My interpretation of his message is as follows: DQ's phenomenal 9-23-22 Almaty live performance of this composition and this MV are prophetic masterpieces of transcendental pro-planet/antiwar art activism & downright spiritual experiences wherein Dimash issues a sincere, passionate yet, heartbreaking call to action to "learn to love" one another again as we were taught as children & to stop --- all conflicts, all aggression, all wars --- for the real fight before us requires us to unite globally as everyone is to engage in our fight to save our Mother Earth, "the sacred womb" from which all life sprung! Let us shun our "failing [self-serving Pied] Piper leaders" whose lunacy continues to lead us all to our mutual ruin & destruction by ignoring our species' fate as the "tightening noose" of climate change, hunger, poverty perpetually worsens whilst our "crazy leaders" instead waste precious time, limited resources & countless lives by choosing to "lead us to the slaughter" of these senseless, endless wars! The verse that states we must "learn to share again the love, not shares" believe means we must re-learn how to share our love in real time, person-to-person via one-on-one human connection in meaningful ways thru in-person acts of kindness such as compassionately, caring for the actual basic human needs of others or those that are emotional or physical in nature; all of which builds strong friendships, communities, nations and even friendships between nations unlike the superficial virtual "shares" that may be important only to one person's social media status & very well imaginary. DQ asks us to "learn to live again" as "we have passed the moment of "Imagine" (which is clearly a reference to Lennon's iconic song written of the utopia he dreamed of) & the "world as the feast" I believe means we as a species have caused to the planet irreparable damages causing droughts & famine & that we are long passed moments of plenty & now must work very hard together to overcome our limited, finite resources or "Do we have to starve?" I feel as if DQ is asking us "what's it going to take" for us to "WAKE UP?" People are (and have long been) dying of famine NOW. DQ proclaims THIS is OUR LAST CHANCE, and that we must immediately act as there's "not a moment to lose" before either the Earth implodes or some crazed "Pied Piper" releases nuclear Armageddon upon the world! #TimesUp #ItsTimeToSaveTheEarth All I can say for certain is DQ's awesome composition and MV performance of this incredible composition of his has created the global dialogue seeking to understand it, each other and ourselves and has done more to promote a culture of tolerance he speaks of in his message at the end of the video than any other artistry I've witnessed in my 64 years of walking the planet! 🌏💚 He's successfully started the convo and it is up to us to spread this video & respectfully engage with everyone we can in order to try to unite in our common desire for peace under our shared one sky, Dears! You must watch this MV with an open mind & heart coming from a mindset of love & solidarity. We must awaken spiritually. We must raise our collective human consciousness, unite, be as ONE --- live and let live --- & understand our shared fate under our shared sky. "Can we balance on the edge of a fiery grave" with all these competing self-interests & is it even possible to save our future on this planet? To avert our own extinction & achieve that utopian peace we all desperately need to survive as a species so that we might enjoy peaceful, prosperous lifetimes for ourselves & future generations, DQ begs us to #ChooseLife UNITE! Dimash is a empathetic, lyrical genius whose virtuosity serves as a conduit for the pure & wondrous light of Heaven as well as the pain & suffering of our human Hells-on-Earth (many of our own making); he is the most excellent ambassador for a peaceful planet & our survival we could ever envision in his childlike altruistic nature & unconditional love. #WeAreChoosingLife ☸✡☪✝🕉☯☮ #SaveTheEarth 🌏🌍🌎#SaveAllChildren
