If historical trends matter, they will continue to send armed soldiers covertly under the guise of advisors or freelancers who will continue to engage Russian Forces in this conflict. • "May you live in interesting times" is a Chinese curse. As a result of globalization, everyone, including the Chinese, is experiencing the effects of living in "interesting times". In fact, the existence of channels such as The Duran is a response to difficult "interesting times". People today have to be explained absolutely everything, as if adults had regressed in their development to the stage of a small child, and this is terrible. A part of the public even has trouble distinguishing between a woman and a man, but they feel perfectly competent to decide on the composition of the government or the direction of foreign policy. Unfortunately, politicians do not grow on trees, but are brought up and educated in societies, which they then try to shape according to their own image of the world. In this sense, people like Biden, Nuland, Blinken, Sullivan, Cameron, Sunak, Scholz, Macron, etc., are a product of societies and the democratic system - none of them came to power as a result of a coup d'état, and probably all of them would condemn attempts to undermine the principles of democracy in their own countries, but they believe that the coup d'état in Ukraine carried out by the hands of Western special services financed by the people, that elected them is a great achievement of liberal democracy, worthy of violating basic human rights. Thus, we have a puppet Kiev regime, which in the West is stubbornly presented as a legal, independent and democratic authority representing all Ukrainians. Every day we are told that NATO under the leadership of the USA is a fundamentally defensive organization, although it openly conducts an aggressive policy of military and economic attacks on Russia from the territory of a dependent country as a client and beneficiary of the so-called military aid, not being a member of NATO. Everyone can see that the U.S. government is not interested in the life, health, and well-being of Ukrainians, and is investing in the war only because of Ukrainian territory, from which it wants to attack Russia with mercenary Ukrainian forces. As part of this plan, Western democracies are telling their citizens that Bandera's Nazi-based nationalist ideology is the pinnacle of democracy, fully in line with the ideas of basic human rights, individual liberty and political pluralism. The question is: is it the Western political elites who are in crisis and suffering from mental disorders, or is the current catastrophe a manifestation of the collapse of Western societies as a whole of stable organizational structures? After all, it is the supposedly free, educated and sane citizens of these societies who elect their elites in democratic and free elections, and the elected representatives of the authorities create and lead us to the current burning and bloodied Ukraine. It is time to say "check" and appeal with the voice of Western politicians for Kiev to lift the bans on the free movement of Ukrainian citizens, open the borders to all those who want and show the world that Ukrainians consciously and voluntarily choose death and mutilation at the front, because they believe that it is for the good of Western democracy, which in the reality of the global village renounces all the principles that allegedly distinguish it from Russia and China. Why is it so difficult for people in the West to understand that the modern world cannot exist without Russia and China, and that their economic development and political stability are necessary for Western democracies to have a chance to survive at all, because they are not able to sustain their own existence on the economic level (China is the largest creditor of the USA), and therefore also on the political level? Trade is the foundation of civilizational development, trade routes are the veins of the world, and raw materials, goods and money are the lifeblood that fills them. From this perspective, the plans to strike at the Sino-Russian heart are a simple suicide attempt. Suicidal tendencies should be treated, not presented as the highest proof of love of life.

If Trump chooses to end financing to ukraine, that is within his authority .... if he even decides to terminate the the treaty that binds the US to Nato --- that too lies within his constitutional authority. A president cannot be bound by his predecessor's decisions and actions ---- and has the right to revoke anything his predecessor does .... especially as it concerns foreign policy.

    @johnnybegood3017@johnnybegood301712 күн бұрын
    • Yeah I would bet you would be happy if Trump betrays many US allies all at once... but he might have a bit of legal trouble leaving NATO: "Late last year, Congress enacted a statutory provision-located at Section 1250A of the most recent National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)-that expressly prohibits the president from withdrawing from NATO or using any appropriated funds for that purpose without permission from Congress." (cont.) One has to remember he (Trump) as president already betrayed the Syrian Kurds and Afghans who shed their blood with US troops. So betrayal and stabs in the back is pretty much in Trump's DNA and SOP...

During the 2010 western free and fair Ukraine election were 5 presidential candidates including Yanukovich who is Ethnic Russian. Among the others he did win the following regions by big margins because of in these regions the majority are Russians and they wanted and still are be part of the Russia federation. These 11 regions are: Crimea, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zakarpatska, Zaponihzhia, Luhansk, Mykolive, Odesa, Kharkov, Kherson and Sevastpool region. The question is- when are the Europeans going to smarten up and realize this? They will be 100% on the losing end, and seem too naive/ignorant to realize this. Some people are beyond help!

  • Today, May 9, marks the 79th anniversary of the defeat of Nazi Germany aka Victory in Europe day and the Russian people held massive marches and commemorations - not just in Russia - but in countries around the world where Russian expats live. But in the United States, where the mythology persists that the United States defeated the Nazis, there were crickets The estimated population of the Soviet Union in 1940 was 170 million. In other words, 16% of Soviet citizens (which included Russia and Ukraine) died as a consequence of the Great Patriotic War. That does not begin to take into account the number of wounded, which probably represented an additional 20 million people. Compare that with the United States. There are conflicting estimates, ranging from 183,500 up to 276,655 US Army KIA in Europe/North Africa. Let’s go with the higher number. According to the 1940 Census, there were 132,164,569 Americans. That ratio of U.S. KIA in the European/North African theater compared to total population is 0.2%. In other words, far less than 1% of the U.S. population died at the hands of the Nazis. I will put this bluntly - the United States paid almost nothing in the way of blood and treasure in the campaign to defeat Hitler compared to what the Russian people endured. Consider the following: 750,000 Soviets died in the Battle of Stalingrad. At least 670,000 Soviet soldiers and citizens died in the siege of Leningrad. An estimated 421,000 Soviet died in the battle of Operation Citadel/Kursk. The staggering scale of Soviet losses is beyond the comprehension of most Americans. The Soviets tripled all American losses in the European theater in just one battle - Stalingrad. Yet, Hollywood has propagated the myth that the United States carried the burden of the battles that led to the destruction of the Third Reich. Not just Hollywood. In the immediate aftermath the capture of Berlin, the United States and the United Kingdom behaved as if they were the ones who save the world. Well, if that is true, why are the Americans and Brits silent on VE day? Because they did not endure the catastrophic human loss that the peoples of the Soviet Union endured, especially the Russians. That is why millions of Russians marched today carrying photographs of their grandfathers, grandmothers, great-grandfathers and great-grandmothers who served and died in the colossal fight to destroy the Nazis. The legacy of the sacrifice of those who fought 80 years ago still burns bright in the souls of the Russian people. Not so in America. A significant portion of the American population is ignorant: Profiteering off of war? That is a different matter. Americans are real good at that grift. Major General Smedley Butler, who wrote War Is a Racket in 1935, nailed it: Today’s America is the Alzheimer’s Generation when it comes to history. We are on a trajectory to pursue wars against Russia, Iran and China without the tiniest bit of appreciation of the potential loss of human life and capital that may be inflicted on the United States if it consummates its rapacious, foolish desire. I salute those Americans who served in World War II and all of the succeeding foreign expeditionary boondoggles. The names of 58,000 Americans decorate a black wall in Washington, DC. The vast majority served honorably and died in part because they believed the lies fed them by corrupt Presidents and a compliant media. Many of those who followed in their footsteps and served honorably in Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria are victims of a big lie. They were not fighting to defeat Islamic extremism. They were duped into fighting to fatten the stock portfolios of General Dynamics, Raytheon, Lockheed Martin and scores of other Beltway Bandits. War is good business as long as only a small, insignificant (and despised) class of Americans pay the price in blood. The failure of the vast majority of Americans to commemorate May 9 will, I fear, come back to haunt us. If we do not find a way to live in peace with Russia, China or Iran, Americans are not likely to have the good fortune to avoid massive casualties.- Sonar21

    • A sign that the USSR like the Russian empire before it and the Russian federation today, cares little to none about the loses when it comes to meeting the objectives of its elites. The original meat grinder of history, however Russia of today is not the major power it was in the past. Birth rates are at record lows. The population pyramid is STILL out of wack from the millions of dead men from WW2. Russia no longer has the ability to solve its problems by throwing millions of men and drowning its enemies in bodies. Hence why this war is such a slow grind for Russia. It cant overwhelm Ukraine, it cant man the entire front with enough men to out flank Ukraine. Instead its got to focus on a small portion of the front and hope to win before it runs out of stuff.

Avdiivka was the 131st most populated place in Ukraine. Notice a trend line here. The populated places that Russia keeps making a major offensive efforts vs. keep getting less important & smaller.

Often RU forces in this war have 200 man battalions and their depleted brigades are often the size of a Western Battalion group with supporting arms... (say a 1,000 men more or less). Remember RU attacked UA with units at peacetime manning levels, so RU units in this war with their often high losses in active operations have really typically never been up to strength...
