Hi, friends! I tried 5 languages(Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, and Icelandic) but the video was too long so I split this into two videos. So this video has only Finnish & Swedish parts!
The next video will be part 2 with me trying Danish, Norwegian, and Icelandic. Thank you so much for understanding me.

    • I have to agree with Ida borg. A ‘dialect’ is merely another form of the language whereas an ‘accent’ (brytning) differs from it and is, essentially, incorrect. So, saying that “they speak with a finnish accent” is offensive and hurtful as it implies that it isn’t correct Swedish, but a wrongly articulated version.

    • @snunkus snunkus Finlandssvenskan är ett praktexempel på en dialekt. Inte en brytning. Finsk brytning finns skilt, och det kan lätt särskiljas från finlandssvenskarnas svenska dialekt.

    • No, its actually a swedish dialect called Finlandssvenska. So it is correct Swedish and not finns with an accent.

  • I'm from Sweden, I think your Swedish was decent for a first try. Your Finnish was better though, which isn't unexpected. I'm really looking forward to Danish though. It feels like only Danish people can understand Danish.

    • Because she used a clip from Mumun trollen, which is originaly finnish. The voices uses finnish accent.

  • Good job! I've always loved Mumin but the swedish dub uses swedish with a finnish accent, so when you tried to mimic the language in Mumin you sounded more like a finnish foreigner than a korean trying to speak swedish. :P It was great when you were repeating the words from that web site with written sentences. Then it sounded more like swedish with a really cute korean accent :)

    • Technically it's Finland-Swedish, which is a native Swedish variety spoken in Finland, rather than Swedish with a Finnish accent...

  • I'm swedish girl and the animation was "Mumintrollen" and isn't "true" Swedish. It's "finnishswedish" a combination of Finnish and Swedish when you speak. But in other ways it was good👍 Bra jobbat👍

  • I'm Swedish and Finnish and to me, your pronunciation is good, especially if it's your first try :D The Swedish version of Moomin has a Finnish Swedish accent and therefore it's not how Swedes usually talk! Great and entertaining video! :3

    • Mabye wach other kids programms in swedish instead. I am from Sweden and the accent you were speaking were finish swedish ( finlandssvenska) and that accent are mainly used by some people in Finland. A tip is that there is bunch of shows in swedish on " barnkanalen" .

  • It's so funny to hear people trying to pronounce my language (swedish). It's actually a hard language to learn and pronounce right in since we don't always pronounce it as it looks... so many people who's not from Sweden and lived here for a while can speak but get the grammar and pronunciation wrong usually😅 But Hansol, you did a great job for only repeating what you hear🙌 Thank you💕

I can understand what you’re saying but you have a Finnish accent when you’re speaking ( Finland-Swedish accent, most of the people who are Finnish and learning Swedish have that kind of accent, and mumin is a Finnish serie which I loved when I was a kid but anyway the woman who spoke had a Finnish accent)
