An early classic by the legendary Yuen Wo Ping, director of "Iron Monkey" and action director for the Hollywood hit "The Matrix," "The Buddhist Fist" is the story of two orphans who are raised separately by Shaolin monks and trained in the lethal art of the Buddhist Fist. Fate reunites them after a series of attacks at the monastery, and a surprise revelation leads to a duel to the death between the two brothers. Packed with furious fight scenes expertly choreographed by Yuen Wo Ping, "The Buddhist Fist" is good old-fashioned kung fu fighting at its very best!
Shaolin Kungfu movie
Aspiring barber and experienced kung-fu fighter Shang learns that his childhood friend, Siu Ming, has been framed for murder by an unknown villain. When Shang begins looking into the crime, he soon finds himself the target of an assassination attempt. Who is behind all these crimes, and can Shang stop them?

  • 😃 " AWESOME!.... I've watched this classic more times than I can remember, simply for the amazing martial arts choreography. The end fight has to be one of the best showcases of Shaolin Kung Fu ever filmed. The actors portraying ' Grandmaster ' and ' Siu Ming ' captivated Me demonstrating the classic shapes. The supporting cast of wacky characters, be they friend or foe, enhanced the simple plot and kept the pace moving right along. "

    • davis riley😩" YEAH!.... ' Anime ' and Superhero flicks dominate action movie flicks, particularly among Today's younger generations. The huge global market for those and ever-popular Video Games has all but relegated traditional Martial Arts films to viewing platforms as Netflix. Also, I still prefer these more gritty ' old school ' Kung Fu over today's highly-stylized and far more superficial ones with artificial-looking casts that look more European than Asian. "

    • An underrated bit, mainly because the old guy with long hair basically believes Kung fu to be like chess; Full of strategies, Variants and methodical techniques along said variants (castling, promotion, etc.), even though it isn't quite as strong at the mastered bhuddist techniques shown at the films ending. The fight scene the chess playing master has later against the soothsaying assassin around the halfway mark (45:00) shows this in action.
