ok can everybody reading this just take a moment to realize how freaking amazing Lizzie’s acting is in this!? especially in episodes 3, 7, 8 and 9!! she is freaking AMAZING and doesn’t get acknowledged enough for it!
To be fair, we learned Doctor Strange was going to be in this, and that the commercials were supposed to be messages from him, but COVID derailed those plans.
COVID is actually not the main reason that idea was omitted (Dr. Strange's messages through the commercials) but they really wanted to focus more on Wanda because in a way, if the commercials were subtle messages from Doctor Strange himself, it's kind of giving off a different perspective or stance to the story but having it this way, being Wanda's subconscious projection of her past memories and experiences is so much better and gives so much emphasis on the central theme and arc explored. It's also just slightly annoying how people start to twist news and information about COVID affecting the story where in fact, it's pretty much a sure thing that it still went the way they wanted and envisioned it. Filmmaking is just a continuous process and everything's not fixed at the start about what's going to happen and there's always going to be changes. It's just not great that people (not talking about you, but other people) are spreading stuff and makes it seem like all of these things are what they always planned to since the start, but COVID just got in the way.
@@philipseven9215 The thing that has the most impact, at least for me, is when she says "I don't understand this power but I will." I think it's a great show of maturity for Wanda to seek out Dr Strange for help rather than him showing up and scolding her. By and large, Wanda has be reacting to things instead of acting. Now she's taken control. (And Dr strange didn't need to show up, they've already met and Agatha gave her two starting points: the chapter about herself in the Darkhold and the Sorcerer Supreme name drop. 23 well deserved Emmy noms!)

I 100% believe that by having shows, rather than films, the emotional impact hits so much harder. So far all the Disney+ MCU shows have an emotional scene that *matters*. Compare this scene to Vision's death in Infinity War.

Fun fact - Wanda threw her car into that house. That is why she flew away at the end of the episode. Fact 2 - That house, where Wanda threw her car into, was Roger Murtaugh's house from Lethal Weapon film series since they filmed at WB backlot. That was also a reference to Lethal Weapon 2 when a car drove into Murtaugh's house

Jajajaj, I had almost the same reactions. Even though, I love the fact that Dr Strange, Mephisto, X-Men's Quicksilver or other cameo never appeared (I was literally all the episode thinking " please, don't make them appear, please"). They focused on Wanda and Vision. That's all that I wanted. This show really satisfied me.
