The U.S. Marine Corps is responsible for providing power projection from the sea, utilizing the mobility of the U.S. Navy to rapidly deliver combined-arms task forces to global crises. The U.S. Marine Corps uses non-lethal weapons to:
Augment lethal weapons
Deny, move, disperse and suppress personnel
Deny access to facilities
Warn/Stop vehicles and small vessels
Disable materiel
Provide Marines with hands-on training in using non-lethal weapons.
