I really liked the ending to this drama, even though it was bittersweet. It illustrates that sometimes, that one thing you do can change your life forever. If the main guy changed his actions, maybe things would have ended up differently; however, life is about learning and moving on. I feel like even though they didn't end up together, it wasn't a bad ending…it just shows that not everything will always go your way even if you want it to. It's always better to learn from it and grow from it. I really liked how they showed his old uniform with all the pen marks she marked at the end of the movie~a lot of the memories they had were imprinted on that shirt. Although he didn't end up with her, she will always be an important person in his life.

This was the first movie my ex fiancé and I watched together before we were a couple. We were studying at university together and she wanted to watch this with me. I thought it was such a sweet experience and the movie resembles our story. It is quite realistic. We were together for 5 years, but known each other for 6 years. She's always helped me through university, since I had no idea what I wanted to do. She was always there to support me when I felt lost. She gave me hope that I could do something meaningful for my life, and I did. I appreciated how much affection shes always given me. She left me over a month ago for someone else. Because I was immature and selfish. I felt like a failure. I wasn't there for her when she needed me most. She was alone and sad. But I wasn't there to keep her safe. I promised on the day we fell in love, that I would always keep her safe and happy. I feel burdened with guilt for not keeping my word. I feel horrible for not being there for her, and not showing my true affection towards her. I still love her with all my heart. I would sacrifice my life to save hers without a doubt. The choices I made were wrong, and I would give anything to redo them. But the only thing now I can do for her, is move on and support whatever decision she makes. I'm genuinely happy for her that she's living the life shes always wanted. I just wish I could have provided her with this life sooner. Before I watched this movie, I was contemplating if I should let her go and move on, or hold onto our memories for a long time. I kept thinking about this to the point I had sleepless nights. I never could quite remember the ending of this movie so I decided to rewatch the movie again today. I held a photo of us together while watching it, to feel her presence, just like 6 years ago when we first watched it. Coincidentally at the end of this movie, it really gave me a sign, that I should her let go, as much as it hurts. All the fun, genuine, loving memories we created together. I had to let go, so we both can move on and experience true love again. If I really do care for her, I would like to see her happy, and hope that one day she would find a true soulmate. Just like in the movie. I genuinely do love her, and I wish things could be different. But it warms my heart to see her happy no matter the outcome. The actress playing the female character, resembles how my fiancé looks in person. She would also look lovely in a wedding gown one day. I will miss her. This is the hardest part about growing up. The first person you truly love and plan a future with, might not be there with you at the end. I will always remember you Esther.

This movie doesn't need a sad crying scene or a dead character or anything. It's very simple because it gave us a empty feels whenever we see the ending. This movie gave us a roller coasters feels :) just a simple story line but can makes us shattering and sad 😭 u should watch this if you haven't

Yea, this movie is very touching and the song too. Reminds us not to take things for granted. Actually this movie is about that. To those who felt sad why the two cant be together. Actually if you guys watch the movie carefully when Ko ching-teng kiss Shen chia-yi at her wedding, he had two chance to mend his mistakes. First, when Ko walks away from Shen Chia-Yi (if he had apologized then, probably the two wouldnt have ignored each other for two years. First time Ko contacted her was during the earthquake). Second missed opportunity was when Ko asked Shen Chia-Yi on a date and both wrote something on the hot air balloon. That time when Ko confessed to Shen Chia-Yi and she wanted to reveal her next move but Ko said he doesnt want to know but let him love her as of status quo (actually Shen Chia-Yi wanted to start a relationship) because there was a part she did mentioned if there were to remain as friends without a serious relationship, she will be old by then. At the end of this song (MV), Shen Chia-Yi ask Ko "Do you want to know my answer". Ko said "Please No. Let me love you as it is", probably scared of rejection.

dont u understand the film? first, at the end, the film have the scene that ko come back and apologize. Second, at that time if they have a relationship, they will still break up after the fight. i think 2 chances u mentioned doesnt matter, they loved each other, that's all. For me it's not a bad ending for a first innocent love.

Duy Hung Nguyen I agree with the first but I have a little different pov of the second. I think if the main boy said yes that time..thing like them fighting will not happen bc I think the main boy making a fighting competition is due to the girl that she likes. He wants to show his strong side to the girl he likes bc he thought if the girl saw his strong side, the girl will like him(more). But the girl and the boy have different opinion/way of thing. That played a great factor of each of their action/decision. Especially the boy is childish and kind of naive meanwhile the girl is mature and smart. He felt that the girl he like didn't like him and say things like, herself is not as good as he expected and not perfect is because she want him to not like her and that boy felt (only feel like/a thought like tht come to his mind) like it was kind of a rejection but in a nice way. So maybe, just maybe..if the boy said yes when the girl asked if she want to know the answer, probably the fighting competion will not happen and they will not fight. But I think that is just the destiny of their life.. I think, it is hard to understand how life works sometime. As a ordinary human being, we don't know the answer to all struggle tht we are going through

Such story exist in my life, she was one of the prettiest through the secondary school. I liked her for more than 2 years and when I learned she decided to study in Canada, I followed her by lying to my parent's that I want to study there to get a better education. Thing is, I have no idea where she is, life went on for months and all the sudden, I saw her in a TV program. I was over the top because of that, the nest day I skipped my school, went to that high school and guess what? She was there, shocked to know I stood right in front of her. Sad thing is, I was a 1000% introvert, shy person, besides I told her that I was happy to see her and know where she studied because of that TV program. I did not give her any contact before I left that day. Yes, that was my story. Years later, I learned she got married and have a lovely husband, and miraclely I thought God had heard my prayer, I ran into her again. And this time, I talked with her like an old friend. Since she was already married, I didn't not aggressively ask her to keep contact with me, that being said, I told her that she is special to me in many ways. Not only I came to Canada because of her, but 'finding' her in such way usually only happen in movie. If I again run into her now, I would tell her everything; not because I want anything from her, but letting her know my life I have right now, she was the main factor of why it happened. Her name is Yvonne Young, from Hong Kong, a student from JCGSS.

Coincidentally at the end of this movie, it really gave me a sign, that I should her let go, as much as it hurts. All the fun, genuine, loving memories we created together. I had to let go, so we both can move on and experience true love again. If I really do care for her, I would like to see her happy, and hope that one day she would find a true soulmate. Just like in the movie. I genuinely do love her, and I wish things could be different. But it warms my heart to see her happy no matter the outcome. The actress playing the female character, resembles how my fiancé looks in person. She would also look lovely in a wedding gown one day. I will miss her. This is the hardest part about growing up. The first person you truly love and plan a future with, might not be there with you at the end. I will always remember you Esther.

Yea, this movie is very touching and the song too. Reminds us not to take things for granted. Actually this movie is about that. To those who felt sad why the two cant be together. Actually if you guys watch the movie carefully when Ko ching-teng kiss Shen chia-yi at her wedding, he had two chance to mend his mistakes. First, when Ko walks away from Shen Chia-Yi (if he had apologized then, probably the two wouldnt have ignored each other for two years. First time Ko contacted her was during the earthquake). Second missed opportunity was when Ko asked Shen Chia-Yi on a date and both wrote something on the hot air balloon. That time when Ko confessed to Shen Chia-Yi and she wanted to reveal her next move but Ko said he doesnt want to know but let him love her as of status quo (actually Shen Chia-Yi wanted to start a relationship) because there was a part she did mentioned if there were to remain as friends without a serious relationship, she will be old by then. At the end of this song (MV), Shen Chia-Yi ask Ko "Do you want to know my answer". Ko said "Please No. Let me love you as it is", probably scared of rejection.

dont u understand the film? first, at the end, the film have the scene that ko come back and apologize. Second, at that time if they have a relationship, they will still break up after the fight. i think 2 chances u mentioned doesnt matter, they loved each other, that's all. For me it's not a bad ending for a first innocent love.
Duy Hung Nguyen I agree with the first but I have a little different pov of the second. I think if the main boy said yes that time..thing like them fighting will not happen bc I think the main boy making a fighting competition is due to the girl that she likes. He wants to show his strong side to the girl he likes bc he thought if the girl saw his strong side, the girl will like him(more). But the girl and the boy have different opinion/way of thing. That played a great factor of each of their action/decision. Especially the boy is childish and kind of naive meanwhile the girl is mature and smart. He felt that the girl he like didn't like him and say things like, herself is not as good as he expected and not perfect is because she want him to not like her and that boy felt (only feel like/a thought like tht come to his mind) like it was kind of a rejection but in a nice way. So maybe, just maybe..if the boy said yes when the girl asked if she want to know the answer, probably the fighting competion will not happen and they will not fight. But I think that is just the destiny of their life.. I think, it is hard to understand how life works sometime. As a ordinary human being, we don't know the answer to all struggle tht we are going through

Such story exist in my life, she was one of the prettiest through the secondary school. I liked her for more than 2 years and when I learned she decided to study in Canada, I followed her by lying to my parent's that I want to study there to get a better education. Thing is, I have no idea where she is, life went on for months and all the sudden, I saw her in a TV program. I was over the top because of that, the nest day I skipped my school, went to that high school and guess what? She was there, shocked to know I stood right in front of her. Sad thing is, I was a 1000% introvert, shy person, besides I told her that I was happy to see her and know where she studied because of that TV program. I did not give her any contact before I left that day. Yes, that was my story. Years later, I learned she got married and have a lovely husband, and miraclely I thought God had heard my prayer, I ran into her again. And this time, I talked with her like an old friend. Since she was already married, I didn't not aggressively ask her to keep contact with me, that being said, I told her that she is special to me in many ways. Not only I came to Canada because of her, but 'finding' her in such way usually only happen in movie. If I again run into her now, I would tell her everything; not because I want anything from her, but letting her know my life I have right now, she was the main factor of why it happened. Her name is Yvonne Young, from Hong Kong, a student from JCGSS.
