I own a 2013 M3 and a 2019 M550i. I love them both. The M550i doesn’t handle like the M3 but honestly in a straight line and as a daily driver it is wonderful. I have bought mine out of the lease and hope to keep it through 2025/2026. Mine has been bulletproof but I do worry about the long term liability. My M550i has the white leather and the open pore wood interior and the Rhodium Silver paint. I have owned over 30 cars and this is the most beautiful of them.

I love my 2020 M550i , moccha interior, and bluestone metallic exterior. Because of the power behind the engine, now all I want is to pick up an M5 competition. At 60 , I now have the need to speed.😨
Best year, that's what I'll aim for. 2020 has the updated horsepower, but doesn't have the updated styling, which I don't actually like as much as the 2018-20.

This is the best sleeper car..put this up to there with the recently departed 2017 Chevy SS and the 2018 Mercedes Benz E63 4Matic..😊

The side view mirror complaint is truly a fantastic nitpick. I’ve also realized this exact issue on a different brand. I almost want to black out the boarder

Have you both driven the M440i Gran Coupe? What're your thoughts? I'm cross shopping that with this. I know - a different class of car, but liking the practical hatch and styling of the M440i GC. I think both would be ideal grand touring cars for longer trips.
We haven’t yet - as soon as it’s on the Canadian media fleet, we’ll book it. Interesting cross-shop options - we can see how you’d be drawn to both. If it’s practicality, that would score the extra point for the 4. If it’s raw power, it’s tough to topple the 5 across the entire segment.
Underrated sleeper vehicle..you can get a pre-owned or certified one 4 less 😀
As an owner of several F10 and G30 V-8's this G30 ends its life in 2023. Might want to avoid a last year production.
I get avoiding the first year or two, but the last? Why?
Do you think its right time to buy these for around $100k, specially when newer 2023-24 new shape 5 series would be coming next year
If you want a V8, then this is likely the last hurrah.

If you like what BMW has been doing with the controversial grill designs, go ahead and wait. I'm personally not a fan, and bought my M550i last month....loving life now!
@@donwilber1628 I'm caught between this beauty and the m4 which I'd get if not for the ugly grill and hood.. God they ruined it.. leaving my ftype r and want the power and looks.. does this car draw attention on the road. just curious.. I can't go a day without the jag getting looked at.. I still like it 😂.. please let me know anything I should know about 550 TX
@@execatty I’m just back from a 1200 mile road trip, where I averaged about 80mph, and about 25mpg. The car gets little attention unless I put it in Sport+ and then the exhaust is very loud…I don’t personally need that kind of attention, I’m happy just going fast and comfortably. Getting around slower traffic happens in a wink, and without drama.
You are RIGHT- just had mine delivered today with 30K $ extras, just love it - best car I ever owned🎯 Loves your video, Gunnar from Sweden Our Environmental talibans put 2.000$ extra tax three first YEARS on it, still worth it 🎬
Great review!!!! Nice car but definitely not practical for daily. 3 season car then get a Corolla to beat around winter and rainy days. Lexus IS500 good alternative.
I beg to differ. Put all season tires on the 19's and have plenty of fun all year round. It's AWD and super practical on the interior.
@@andreyzubkov8435 maybe true but not sure if all the horsepower in this car can be appreciated in the freezing temperatures and snow.
? IS500 is RWD and also comes with a big V8. It's far less of a 4 season car.

Interior bmw always been lacking but exterior wise you drunk asf but I see that Benz in you’re profile of course you gone hate
