Recheado Bangda is prepared by giving slits to the fish and stuffing a special traditional masala in it. Then the fish is coated with semolina and then shallow fried in hot oil.
Ingredients:
2 Indian Mackerel (Bangda)
1 tsp Mustard Seeds
1 tsp Fennel Seeds
20 Kashmiri Red Chillies soaked in vinegar for 30 minutes.
1 inch Ginger
8 Garlic
5-6 Black Pepper
1/2 tsp Coriander Seeds
1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
2 Cardamom
4 Cloves
1 inch Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
1/2 tsp Sugar
1 Onion, chopped and sauteed
Semolina
Oil
Salt to taste
Method:
- Dry roast the mustard seeds and fennel seeds. Keep them aside till further use.
- In a mixer grinder add soaked red chillies, ginger, garlic, black pepper, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, turmeric powder, sugar, sauteed onion, roasted mustard seeds and fennel seeds, salt. Grind everything to a smooth paste.
- Heat some oil for shallow frying.
- Apply this paste to the fish and also stuff some inside the fish.
- Coat the fish in semolina and shallow fry it on both the sides.
- Recheado Mackerel is ready to serve.

Raecheado Masala recipe. Red chillies Ginger,Garlic Pepper,clove cinnamon Onion cut and put one no need to saute. Turmeric a pinch (Little sugar and salt to be mixed in masala while going to use on fish) Grind all of these in goan palm vinegar and water. Keep refrigerated for months. If you grind fully in vinegar it will be too sour.So use half water. I am married to a goan and living in goa for 30+ years.This is how we make the racheado masala.

This is not goan recheado masala ...this is totally different concept of them ..our goan style of doing it totally different and its very very tasty ...first of all we dont use mustard seeds in that at all

Bro you are absolutely right and this isn't the accurate recipe of Recheado. We use vinegar but not as much as shown in this recipe.

Hello M'am...😊!!! I like your recipes. I am Goan married to Sikh however this recipe video is bit upsetting as this is not the recipe of recheado also Goan's don't use mustard seeds. U omit an ingredient or add an extra ingredient.. it's no longer Rechead masala.. the taste differs, and authenticity is lost.. you should have done ur research.. no offence to you but when you include Goan word in this video it will definitely upset people.

Wrong stuffing and slitting of mackerel, Goans slit both sides and it gets fried properly without flesh coming out from where did you learn this? Also no fennel seeds or mustard seeds and corainder are not in this ingredient.

We agree that we have commented negatively but it isn't personal with Archanaji. We appreciate her however the receipe that is so confidently showed under our Goan name we are disappointed with it. We never add mustard seeds to our non veg food. It's used by Keralites and Mangloreans. Just keep yourself in our shoes and think what if someone adds some ginger garlic paste or sauce in puran poli. How would people feel who know how its cooked. Same goes to us Goans. Don't mind nothing personal with you as well.😊
