👉 M*A*S*H is an American war comedy-drama television series that aired on CBS from 1972 to 1983. It was developed by Larry Gelbart as the first original spin-off series adapted from the 1970 feature film M*A*S*H, which, in turn, was based on Richard Hooker's 1968 novel MASH: A Novel About Three Army Doctors. The series, which was produced with 20th Century Fox Television for CBS.
The series is centred upon the interrelationships, stress and trauma involved in being a part of Mobile Army Surgical Hospital. They survive insuperable odds with the help of practical jokes and fun.

She had been featured sincecthe first season but wasn't given any lines until a few seasons later. One ofvher most touching scenes was when a soldier lays dieing abd he calls her by his wife's name. She talks to him as she were his wife and he dies holding her hand. The premise of thr episode is thst shecus annoyed by Hawkeye's wandering eye and pays no attention to her. After tge scene I just described, he sees her for the sweet and caring person she is

Hawkeye (Alan Alda being Italian): ‘Those are the size of spaghettini, we need rigatoni.” Kellye (trying to be respectful), “Doctor, I’m part Chinese and part Hawaiian. If you are going to use ethnic measurements, could you at least use ones I’d understand?” Hawkeye (trying for patience), ‘A small eggroll.’ Kellye, “*That* i understand. We haven’t got any that size.’

  • I'm sorry, did you call Klinger "simple-minded?" Because I don't know what show you were watching but it couldn't have been M*A*S*H; Cpl. Max Klinger on M*A*S*H was anything but simple-minded. Or perhaps "simple-minded" means something different in your native culture (not meaning to presume, but you do have quite a heavy foreign accent) than it does in native English speaking countries.

    @bob_._.@bob_._. Жыл бұрын
    • I think he said ‘single-minded’, meaning Klinger’s only thoughts were to get out of the Army and go home.

  • 4:40 It is Odessa Cleveland not Orissa like it says on the screen. Gary Burghoff really played the drums on an episode of MASH. In 1968 he was a drummer in a band called The Relatives which featured Lynda Carter as lead singer.

    @richstrobel@richstrobel11 ай бұрын
  • There should be a television Hall of Fame. Definitely MASH is a Top 5 level. Mid way into the series it got political and didn't try to bring in new characters or get correspondence from old characters. Like a film reel from Frank burns, or a letter from radar mentioning children. Maybe a gag letter from one of hawkeye's nurses he dated calling him papa...

The background music is too loud and it is Primary and the narration is in the background and is too soft. I missed a lot of what you said. I will go back and listen again

    • The show was only good for a couple of seasons. When Wayne Rogers left and it became officially the Alan Alda show, it sucked as bad as anything since. It further went downhill when Linville left and was replaced by Ogden Stiers, another horrid overplayed actor. (He ruined Stargate Atlantis as well). And the guy who played Honeycutt was also laame. I always assumed they brought in weak actors so that no one could steal the limelight from the self-glorifying Alda.
