Welcome to the BlackBoardGaming channel, where we introduce casual gamers to a wide variety of board and card games. Today I share with you my 10 favorite 'just' card games, where the only game component is just cards. No game tokens, no game currency, just cards and a rulebook...and maybe a scoresheet.

Photograph is one of my favorites as well. Card games I like that didn't make the list: Arboretum, Parade, Wizard, Fantasy Realms (Anne and I used to play a lot of this), Love Letter (which has scoring chips, but you can easily just use paper and pencil to keep track of points), and Goat n' Goat.
Mottainai Mini has small player boards, but they are not necessary once you learn the game. It's my favorite "just cards" game. Shout out for That's Not A Hat and Point Salad.
Tons of great games! I haven't played Wind the Film and you have sold me! #4yearanniversary
Great list. I enjoy any from this list that I have played before. If you have never played it, I strongly recommend the card game Gap. My wife and I play it at restaurants while we wait for our food. #4yearanniversary
#4yearanniversary great list!, I'd like to try your number 1 😊
Nice list! I love For Northwood! I have photograph on my wishlist. I also like Castles of Burgundy the Card Game and Trambahn.
I haven't heard of Trambahn. Research time!
You've convinced me to get FOR NORTHWOOD!!! Photograph has been on my shelf of shame for over a year now, I gotta find the right group to test it out. Are we friends on BGA, would love to play some turn-based with ya?
Great picks! We’ve played a lot of Trio lately. I’m really interested in trying For Northwood! too.
It's so good!
I was wondering how high Nana/Trio would be on the list. :) Loved the story about the young man and the light bulb going off. That's such a cool thing to see. Another fantastic video, Dwayne -- keep up the great work!
Thanks, Ruel!!
yay for monday’s and less stress!
Yes!!
#4yearanniversary! I never heard of Wind the Film, looks great!
It is so good!!
Very Nice List.
Thank you!!
#4yearanniversary congratulations! Great list! I have several of them, looking to try Trio and never heard of Wind the Film! You gonna make me buy more games!
Hey, Omar!!
I don't watch your vids until Monday anyway, so new release day is all good!
🤪😝
My game group has really taken to Photograph, which I bought bc I saw it in a shop randomly and you had talked about it so much. Totally right, the first game you will most likely do poorly, but once you see how the mechanics work, you can take more informed and productive turns. I love it and I wish more Saashi games were available in the US.
Doesn't it challenge you?! Thanks for watching!
I love this video! Wonderful List. Also cheers to less stress! I am constantly trying to find ways to find peace and fulfillment!
Right!? I need it at my age.
Haven't heard of the top end ...nice list #4yearanniversary
Thank you!

#4yearanniversary Picked up Doomlings today after watching this video😆 We also love Chili Mafia, and Sea Salt and Paper. I'm not sure I'd agree with excluding Forest Shuffle. The board is pretty, but totally unnecessary; you just need a central area to discard cards into🤷♀️ The only reason I don't have Forest Shuffle in a deck box is because there's too many cards to fit! (I need to find bigger deck boxes because Chili Mafia also won't fit my standard box!)🤣
I thought about putting Forest Shuffle on the list, but I didn't want any grey areas or opening it up to making exceptions. Thanks for watching!
Love this list! I’ve been playing a lot of card games recently, since they take up less space on the shelves. A lot of overlap between our lists. Mine would be: 10. Sushi Go 9. Point Salad 8. Ohanami 7. Abandon All Artichokes 6. Sea Salt & Paper 5. Nana/Trio 4. Photograph/Wind the Film 3. For Northwood! 2. Startups 1. Potato Man #4yearanniversary
Startups would be on my list but that has chits :D
@@ralphlinsangan5482 Ah, you’re right. Take that off and replace it with either Fuji Flush or In Front of the Elevators
I like your list!!
Thank you for the list! What do you think about Bohnanza? I've had a lot of fun playing it with my teenage sons. I'm looking forward to trying Point City ąs it seems like a nice step up from Point Salad, a game my daughter really likes.
She will enjoy Point City! I hadn't had a chance to play Bohnanza yet. I think they have a new version out with Beth Sobel art themed around flowers.
Great list, I’ll check some of these out! #4yearanniversary
Thanks for watching!
You might like Good Puppers
Time to do the research!
I watched "that's not a hat" on gamenight. Surprisingly it's got me wanting to play a memory game. Add that to Trio, I don't even know who I am anymore! #4yearanniversary
You're a person that likes great 'just' card games!
