  • Often, all we need is a simple act of kindness at the right time. Many people long for a more social life, and they feel that will get back a degree of normally. A rare but narrow window of opportunity it´s already opened. What, though, if it seems that something prevent us from performing good deeds? Regardless who the other are, we all must be unselfish and avoid greed. After all, God takes note and He keenly aware of our pain. Amazing topic, BBC. Must appreciated.

  • Thanks, BBC for a helpful lesson as usual. My note while listening A random act of kindness such as helping strangers to cross the road. The main topic is kindness which scientists have become very interested in. According to Dr. Campbell, kindness seems counter-intuitive at first as it can cost something as we give away presents, and money to help others without having anything in return. Actually, we can experience a sense of reward or a warm glow when we're kind to others. Our brain remembers this kind of experience and motivates us to do something kindly again and again. In the ruthless world of politics and business, people often believe that empathy is unnecessary. However, compassionate leadership in fact leads to a fairer society, lower crime rates and a higher level of public health and well-being. It actually takes courage to act with compassion.

  • Politics involves fierce debate and criticism of anyone who disagrees with you but are those who belive it doesn t have to be like that a movement called compassion in politics "Compassionate leadership leads to inclusive cooperative outcomes which lead to fairer societies lower crime rates" Wow ! Super !!

Intuitive (adj) - based on feelings rather than facts or proof. Exp: Most people have an intuitive sense of right and wrong. - A warm glow (n) - a pleasant inner feeling of happiness for doing something kind to others. Exp: The giver of kindness and receiver experiences what scientists call a warm glow - an inner feeling of happiness. - Ruthless (adj) - not thinking or worrying about any pain caused to others, cruel; without pity or sorry for the cruel thing you have done to others. Exp: Some people believe that to succeed in this world you have to be ruthless. a ruthless world. There's no place for kindness in the ruthless world of politics or business. - Compassion (n) - a strong feeling of sympathy for the suffering or bad luck of others and a wish to help them. Exp: I was hoping she might show a little compassion. Compassionate (adj) Exp: Compassionate leadership leads us to inclusive, cooperative outcomes which lead to fairer societies, lower crime rates, and higher levels of health and well-being. - Dismiss (v) - to decide something or someone is not important or not worth considering; to stop or remove, put something away. Exp: Kindness is something dismissed as women have been dismissed as something fluffy. It would be a nice idea but not really practical. - Fluffy (adj) - soft and wooly, considered not serious or important. Thanks for your video. It would be one of the greatest random acts of kindness when you release so many videos for us to learn English.
