This is the most cost effective and inventive build I've seen of a jigsaw cutting station. Talk about no waste, and just beautifully simple! And did y'all check out that vice? Dang that was awesome!
And did you notice that at no point whatsoever in the video was reference made to lining the work piece on it's cutting guide-line! So are you prepared to shine a torch into the slot so you can try to see your pencil mark guide line? And will that pencil mark show up on a dark wood through that tiny slot especially when making cross cuts at an angle? You're better off using a transparent material to make the cutting slot guide so you can see where you're cutting.

Just one thing, I guess you made a hole in the brown table and then cut the line with the jigsaw Thanks again. From England.
One of the most straightforward designs for this that I've seen. Love that Russian countersink, too. What is it about Russians? They figure out how to accomplish things without fuss or expense, and leave the rest of us asking, "Why didn't I think of that?"

@@MazayDIY I've been a fan of Russian can-do since the Soviet days. (That's how old I am.) It was hard to collect Soviet products in the West back then, but I managed. It helped that I grew up in a fishing town; Soviet and Western fisherman fraternised a great deal on the high seas. Anyway, I've always admired that get-it-done attitude. Find a simpler way; bridge the gap with human effort. There's a certain kind of elegance in that low-tech approach that was very intriguing to a Western kid.

You should drill some holes through the angle adjusting piece (and base) so you can lock it in place with dowels or something, seems more reliable than going by the drawn lines.

Es una idea genial. Me encanta. No se si estoy equivocado pero creo que si la base por donde desliza la sierra fuese de metacrilato transparente se podría ver por donde cortar para los cortes en ángulo. Un saludo y magnífico trabajo.

You. Know I was thinking that you wont be able to see the cutting line you done with the pencil. I did try and do a similar rig that this chap had done but I was following another video. There different ideas of doing this. I gave up today. But after seeing this video and others. Ill definitely give it another try.

для углов можно просверлить отверстие под гвоздь например или болт и просто опускать туда чтоб по линиям не угадывать.

Please help me I did everything right I put the jig saw on the cut line and started to bend with about 4 fingers away I used a bosch t344d blade I also used the optical tip with a plastic base another doubt is that as I cut the gap it increases

That's a great idea! I hadn't thought about it! I think it's necessary to make a wide groove in the base and cut the upper part with the necessary angle (30, 45, 60 degrees) at the jigsaw.
@@MazayDIY Did some experiments today. Found that you cannot tilt the jig saw in the track system. The body of the saw hits the track fence( at 45 degrees). We'll have to tilt the entire track system through the desired angle by using triangular blocks at the two ends of the track system and pass the lock down bolts through them. We'll also need corresponding triangular blocks on the top of the track system to for the washer and nut to have a square clamping surface.

A cool jig. The only problem I see with it is not being able to know exactly how much or how less you need to cut it. If the bottom piece was of clear acrylic it would've been much better

Только начал искать на ютубе ролики, как пилить лобзей прямо, а вот оно, со второй попытке открыл нужное видео :D Кстати я не понял, почему новое отверстие под лезвие просверлили, можно было ведь на 180 градусов лобзик развернуть и всё

cuando quieres cortar una tabla a una medida especifica, como sabes dónde la sierra hará el corte exactamente para que te quede un tablon de 15 cms. por ejemplo...
Marco la pizarra con un lápiz. Y puse la tabla mirando la marca a través de la rendija. P.D.: Utilicé un intérprete, con suerte, dejé claro

вы очень внимательны ))) хитрости монтажа - направляющую с двумя отверстиями я благополучно запорол, пришлось делать заново и переснимать
@@MazayDIY Так и вторую почти запороли :) Видно, что пилку лобзика повело в сторону. Кстати, никакие такие направляющие так и не исправят это. Пилка лобзика ВСЕГДА будет идти по пути наименьшего сопротивления. Потому лобзиком в принципе невозможно пилить ровно. Да он для этого и не предназначен

Acompanho esses projetos, mas vi uma inversão entre o corte superior e o inferior, o corte da parte móvel (superior) deveria ser o mais largo e o inferior o fino.
А после модернизации направляющие, можно и циркулярку приспособить.

Buenisimo trabajo, solo le faltaría que se pudiera cortar en angulo con la sierra, es decir con la hoja de la sierra en angulo. De esta manera seria perfecto

How do you see a line that you make for measurements? Like if you want a specific length.. Not just to cut
In the slot, you can see the pre-made marking with a pencil
@@MazayDIY No you cannot see pencil line in slot except at the holes on either end of the slot, but if work piece is smaller than length of slot then you can only see guide line in one hole so you cannot line up work piece accurately. Why you don't show pencil guide line in video? You only show cutting without guide line. Fail.

Пробовал сделать. При пропиливании пилку увело. Две попытки делал. Основа мдф 16, прижимая планка фанера 6. В чем ошибка?
Вы не написали что пилите и какой толщины. Мое предположение, что вы пилите довольно толстый материал и пилка в верхней точке амплитуды частично выходит из зацепления (этого достаточно ,чтобы пилку начало уводить), тогда решением может быть увеличение длины пилки. Если длина пилки достаточна, тогда можно попробовать закрепить снизу еще пару планок-направляющих из дерева твердых пород. При этом пилка в направляющей прорези с одной тосроны не должна люфтить, с другой - не быть сильно зажатой мешая процессу пиления.
@@MazayDIY пилку уводит при изготовлении приспособления, когда делаю пропил в основании и прижиме ☹️
@@user-rg5xu1xe4z тогда надо сделать пропил вначале в прижиме отдельно, только потом совместно. Пилить без маятника, на минимальной скорости
