Baby gorilla Thandie at Zoo Antwerpen is 15 weeks old! And she is learning how to crawl and walk.

  • 🇨🇦 ❤️🦍❤️ You can't help but fall in love with this whole family! Especially baby! He's just beautiful!!! 🥰 Below my comment, this ladies favorite animals are mine as well! 😊 It's pretty much tied for me too! 🦍🐘 Both have faces with the most adorable eyes. I also think it's their deeper than deep love and protection for their little ones and their families. Elephant will mourn a baby or family member forever and gorillas are known to groom their dead for days. They will also stay with the body of a dead loved one for days as well. They leave eventually because of lack of food. Any food surrounding their loved one they've eaten, so that's when they move on! Pretty awesome right? ❤️🙋🙏

    • Yeah, you do get the impression elephants and gorillas are self-aware creatures with their own personalities, emotions, and memories (ditto for chimps, bonobos, orangutans, and dolphins).
