Yay, I had a feeling ILNP would take advantage of Fairy Dust's popularity 😉 I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get the two sibling polishes. On a side note, I don't quite agree with the general sentiment that spring collections can't be vibrant. Muted colors might make sense for transition from winter to spring, pastels are popular for Easter-themed collections, but a bright and colorful palette is totally perfect for late spring when the grass is green and all kinds of flowers are blooming. It mildly annoys me when ppl say spring collections are just boring pastels.
haha yes it would be a missed opportunity if they didn’t!! that’s exciting you’re loving Bluebell & Flower Child the most 🤩 and that’s definitely true!! I agree with the muted pastels being fitting for winter-spring or Easter themed collections, but i’m totally with you on leaning into the brighter colors for late spring! maybe I didn’t expound on that enough in my voiceover, I think when I said I normally don’t associate the bright bolder colors for spring it’s just based off my taste (like my spring wheel this year I would say was bright, but not bold with its color) but seeing the lineup & especially the theme of flowers in full bloom, it was so perfect! like a great transitional collection 🌺

Girl! Yes! Give me that paddle brush. Idk why they're so stuck on the brushes they use now. Their paddle brush is just lovely. At least give us the option to purchase separately. As for the collection, not my favorite color story. I may pick up a few shades. Great video ❤
I know right! I guess bc other brands had skinny brushes, their flat ones weren’t as bad in comparison? But not that almost every brand has switched to paddle brushes, ILNPs are my least fav by default 🙊 but thank you so much for watching! Would love to know what shades you end up grabbing on Friday 🌷

Thanks for the brief comparison of Bluebell and Hygge. Hygge is such a classic that every time I see a light blue polish with a warm, coppery shimmer, I think of it as a copycat, even if it actually very different!
Of course! Hygge is one of my top fav polishes 😍 and I always think the same about new shades being copycats haha it’s crazy to see how different they end up being!

Definitely getting Bluebell and Flower Child. I know you already did a swatch video on summer Nights, but now you should do a swatch video like the one you did on Cirque Jellies, but do all of Summer Nights, Fairy Dust, Pixie Party, Bluebell and Flower Child. I feel like this is the collection of polishes people should consider getting from ILNP if they love that ethereal glowy look. ❤ Edit - Flicker, too!

Petals looks almost exactly like the Winecup flower! They bloom near my house around this time of year and they’re stunningly beautiful. When you look inside them sometimes you can find various little pollen munching beetles rolling around xD

This collection is gorgeous! I will be getting them all, even the blues and blue shimmer. The hard part will be deciding what to wear first! There are varieties of lilies and milkweed that are orange, so Melody fits with the collection.

ooh I can see that similarity! aside from the difference in finish, I would say Space Oddity has a bit more of a purple color head on, like a smidge more purple than magenta but they’re still really close, especially with the shifts in indirect light! send me a DM on insta and I can show you 🤗 and aw thank you so much!!

I am obsessed with this whole lineup! 🤩 I love the mix of bright and pastel colors and the different finishes. Wow! I totally thought Frankie was going to be a lot more similar to Willow! I was going to skip on Willow…but I think this may be the rare collection I want to pick them ALL up! I do think more of Summer when I initially see the collection, but either way it just gives me happy vibes! 🥰

Seeing the moonrise comparison is what I needed cause I do have moonrise but that glow in flower child makes it look so much smoother and more glowy. Moonrise has always looked speckled to me like the holo is too big for the sheerness meanwhile flower child just looks more smooth.
i’m so glad that was helpful! yeah at first glance I can see why people would call them dupes, but totally agree with you about the shimmer in Flower Child being more glowy! it’s a slightly diff color and shift too but it just glows so much brighter in indirect/low light compared to moonrise
ILNP does it again! Another stellar and perfectly curated collection where it's difficult to pick a favorite, but Petals and Flower Child 😍Immediate buys those are. Oh and how I live for your comparisons, esp. tysm for swatching those PPU shades! The Nailed It! was living rent free in my head (I didn't pick wisely that month...) but Flower Child quelled the FOMO, well for now, lol I'm ALL about that blue glow ethereal-ness still, always ✨✨

I don’t need any more greens in the lime/chartreuse/tennis ball range, but I *need* Willow! Also, I recently picked up Fancy Gloss’s Let It Glow (Blue), which is a topper that features a similarly glowy, ghostly blue shimmer in a very light pink base, and I just want to put it on top of everything!
I think Willow is a great springy lime green!! And ooo I’m so intrigued by that topper 👀 I had picked up Alchemy Lacquer’s Champ hoping for that same effect but it wasn’t quite there for me.. but maybe I needed more than one coat or something lol

I love this collection, I actually was already thrilled when I saw the moodboard. If I wouldn‘t have bought Fairy Forest, Under the Sea and Fright Night Collections, I definitely would get this one. But each of those come with a very similar shade (and I also got Showstopper) so… but well done ILNP. By the way I wonder how Melody compares to Carved from the Under the Sea Collection (couldn‘t detect any green shimmer in Carved though)

thank you!! its one of my favs to wear in the springtime hehe 🥰 and omg i know! i was never super bothered by it, but now that (basically) every brand has switched to rounded paddle brushes, these definitely stick out as being “the worst” 🙈 fingers crossed they’ll make the switch this year!!
Came here to say that! Why WHY won’t they use the paddle brush when they have branded ones at hand? “Let’s keep using this old brush that 95 % of our customers hate for all the interesting shades, just to make application harder.” I’m so irritated by this that I don’t want to buy ILNP at all until they change the brush. Getting replacement brushes shipped internationally is a massive hassle and a big expense, and I don’t like having to do that to begin with. I’ll see myself out.
@@ThatSoundsBoring I know! They already have the paddle brushes in their cremes, I really wish they'd bring it into their whole line. Currently, I am replacing their brushes with Cupcake Polish paddle brushes. I think it's really inconvenient to replace brushes because it's an additional step/cost. I know they're already affordable, but perhaps I'm being petty 🤣
@@viacheddar I don’t want to have to buy spare parts for my nail polish. I know ILNP is cheaper than many other brands but it’s still a high-end product, so it’s not petty to expect a high-quality applicator as well.

Great swatches and comparison. I am very basic when it comes to nail colors and have a very small collection but really like the sheer colors with sparkle. Considering Flower Child or Bluebell, or both! Will think about it but ILNP is one of my favorite brands. Nice job!

I haven’t bought anything from Ilnp in several years but I might have to grab some of these. Maybe I’ll finally try fairy dust, I’ve been putting it off because I feel like I may have dupes but everyone seems to rave about it.
Ooo definitely would love to know if you end up grabbing a few of these with Fairy Dust! Haha yeah it’s super popular, I would say maybe overhyped since we’ve seen a few other purple bases with orange shimmer. Maybe you can ask Reddit for some comparisons to whatever else you have in your collection!

I'll look for a gold holo/gold sparkle topper to layer with and maybe 1 coat of regular holo for a rainbow sparkle hahaha but def thinking a blue jelly could be IT and I can customize the sparkle I want. Cant believe I didnt think of that!! Thank you again lol

My toxic trait is continuing to buy light pink polishes. But, hate how they look on me. I am pink toned, so they tend to look nude. When I take my glasses off, it looks like I don't have any fingernails & it freaks me out. But, Flower Child 😅

Petals reminds me of Cracked candy painted. I think candy painted might be more red/pink. Whereas petals is pinkish/purple. Thanks for another great video!

I checked and I do not have a competing BKL polish with Flower Child. So, I feel enabled to pick up Flower Child, Bluebell and Songbird as I feel I need a wider variety of sparkly blues. So, would you, could you enjoy Fairy Dust in a skittle if it rocks? Would you try it in a box? Or with a fox? 😊 Or do you still not like it?

I love Flower Child, but definitely gives off the same vibes as Mooncat’s Moonrise, which I have and love. I don’t think I need Songbird since I have OAP’s Coastal. I feel like I have a polish that gives similar vibes as Petals. I like Willow for a chartreuse/lime green, but I just don’t wear them frequently enough to pick it up. So I’m leaning more towards Bluebell and Melody. Decisions, decisions….
Totally get that!! I personally found Bluebell pretty unique to my collection but if you have other indies there might be something similar. Melody is gorgeous but I could see myself skipping that one since I don’t usually love red hot oranges.. but the shimmer is stunning so I might be more inclined 🤣

Love this whole collection and I am buying it , but I am wondering why Petals cost more than the other polishes? It looks like the same formula as Melody. 🤷🏼♀️
So glad you love it! But oh yeah that seems like an error, it looks like it’s showing up as a magnetic but it’s definitely just a shimmer 🤔 I’ll reach out to let them know!
I emailed them, and they told me it is made with more expensive materials, but it looks just like Melody as far as formula goes. 🤷🏼♀️
ah sorry i could not find your comment earlier and thought i was going crazy lol but ugh yeah I got the same response and they even mentioned other polishes (Morning Rays, Heat Wave etc) that have similar pricing due to ingredients.. i know its technically different since Petals’ shimmer goes from magenta to orange to yellow and Melody doesn’t have magenta, but still weird it warrants a $2 increase 🫣
Thanks for contacting them about it! It's still weird to me because I compared ingredients between Petals and Melody and they are exactly the same, so I can't figure it out. Oh well - still buying it because pink is my favorite color and this one is gorgeous! 🥰🥰
I hope this isn’t a big ask, but is there a way you can save an IG highlight with old comparisons? I’m pretty new to this nail polish world and when I watch old videos I see comments saying it’s on IG, but obviously it’s long gone at that point.
I can definitely work on that! I usually tell people to DM me if they missed my story but it does become a hassle when it’s an older collection 😅

I get the color story with the theme, but I’m still a bit disappointed. It just doesn’t seem cohesive enough for my taste. I wish they would have stuck with all bright or all pastel wildflower colors. Still, I will be picking up a few shades but not the whole collection. Thanks so much for the video. It helped with my decision.
