What are some of your favorite baits to use in different situations during the pre spawn?
Crankbaits spinners and jerkbaits are my fav
This year so far its been a fire-craw red rattle trap and junebug red senko wacky rigged.
Craw square bills baby
I really like a bitsy bug jig from the bank. It's easy to work and I can get it in a lot of places
Those little bitsy bug jigs work great!
picked up a bitsy bug jig, and it has been working wonders here in Oregon.
That's awesome!
It is crazy, the ice just came off in most areas of the lake and instantly bass were all over the shallows. They are behind where you are, but it won't be long for sure!
The bass are just as ready for spring as we are! The fishing is about to get really good!
A jackhammer is a must have for me in the prespawn. Fish it with jerking action like you were doing with a lipless and it has about the same effect. Black or white is all you need.
I know a lot of guys who swear by a jackhammer!
Jigs and traps are about all I use for most fishing. I use whatever I think will work that day. Sometimes I get it right, a lot of times I don't. Gonna try it your way and see what happens.
I really think you'll like the results.
Great video! I really like how you take things and break them down and make them simple. These tips will help a lot!
Glad it was helpful!
More great information! I appreciate you constantly hitting it at all different angles. Conditions and water temps really play a major role for me, when trying to determine what I will usually start with. Thanks for sharing another good video!
It always helps to be able to adapt to changing conditions!
Back in the day this info would only be found at the baitshop or simply by fishing buddy to another. Now its on another level, but you have to be older to realize this. I really appreciate your fishing tips from up here in Red Bay, AL .....
Awesome! So glad you liked it!
Love a solid black jig. That's my go to for most days.
Black jigs can work great!
This was probably the most informative video you ever made awesome job keep them coming
I appreciate that! I'm happy you liked it!
I've been using a 1/4 ounce Cotton Cordell lipless from Walmart. I've caught a little bit of everything with it
Sometimes a smaller crank can be just the thing!
Good information man! 👍
Appreciate it!
Thanks for the tips I definitely have a better understanding of when to use a jig vs a crank bait or bladed jig’s .
I'm happy you found it helpful!
Here in NJ ive been catching a few on a bitsy jig with half of a yumdinger as a trailer a zoom centipede on a sledhead has been a real fish catcher too water at 39 degrees gonna get better be patient!
What part of Jersey are you in?
Great techniques! Spring is on the way!
I'm going to hair jigs this year for most of my artificial fishing. Who knows I may try to use 1 as a trailer for my crankbaits.
That sounds like a interesting idea!
LowBrow!!! Loving the Big Lake and the Big 🚢 boat!!! Great tips from the main Pro!!! Thanks!!! 😎
Awesome! Thank you so much!
So helpful thanks
Thanks so much!
Are you using trailers on the bladed jig?
Yes, I use a fluke-style trailer. It gives the bait way more hunting and darting action. A boot-style bait like a Keitech or a Rage Swimmer actually will impede the action because that tail causes a lot of drag.
nice
Thanks!
