Asus TUF GT501 Chassis Review - BRIONY LOVES this Case !
Today BRIONY gets a look at a new case from ASUS - the TUF GT501 Chassis - its a monster case, and priced around £150 in the UK.
TUF Gaming Alliance is a collaboration between ASUS and major PC-component manufacturers with a range of compliant parts - from PC cases and power supplies to CPU coolers and RAM. In this review we take a look at one of Asus's own cases in the line up - the GT501. With space for up to EATX motherboards, plenty of cooling and features like a tempered glass window and RGB fans, it seems to tick plenty of boxes. The industrial style, protective coating and strong carry handles all give this case its TUF name and make it stand out from the crowd. See the full review over at www.kitguru.net

2nd! Another bang-on review from 1 of UK's top reviewers! :D
^_^ Thanks for pinning me! Keep up the great work Briony!
Please can you tell me if the top can be removed easily to mount an AIO?
I was thoroughly shocked to note that this video is from 4 years ago. It's 2023 and this case, in all its glory, is still alive and kicking at the retail level for $135. That, alone, says a lot about the quality of the case. I mean, I was sold on the design and layout as soon as I saw it on Amazon but I'm even more committed now after recognizing that it hasn't been outmoded in all this time.
Have had this case for years now and I still love it. With so many cookie cutter boxes with 3 front fans on full display this case is different without being weird. Its handles have made it so much easier to move. And its so rugged it still looks brand new. Kept the caution sticker on the glass as I think it complements the style.
Thank you for this. I just saw one of these cases in a shop, really liked how it looked, but wanted to look at some reviews before pulling the trigger. This is EASILY the best review I've been able to find on this case, VERY in-depth, and you put in a fair bit of work doing a full build to test how good it is to build with and addressed my only question; how is the airflow? First time on your channel, won't be the last, subbed. If all your reviews are this in depth, you just became one of my 'go to' reviewers.
Great video, thank you for your time spent! Great job explaining different items, nice time lapsing, anyone looking at this case should watch! Good luck moving forward.
Literally the only video I've seen on this case that actually explains how to install the RGB fans. Thank you, and subbed!
I completly missed it lol
I found your review amazing and super informative. Seems like the guy who assembled my gaming PC didn't plug the RGB headers but after watching this, i know exactly how to fix this situation :)
I was debating on getting this case for my new ryzen rig after watching this case review I will be getting one and you did a really good case review girlkeep up the good work
LOL Verge still getting ragged on 7:44
And they deserve every beat down they get and then some....
tweezers will never die! :D
@@christopherjames9843 why?
Shit the dude is still getting picked on over thermal paste.
Excellent review and nice build(liked your "thinking-out-the-box" with the shroud ;-) ) Another super video.Looks like a Cooler Master Mastercase-high end case.
Very detailed review, better than some big tech channels as well, this is exactly what I'm looking for, thank you.
LOL the dig at the Verge caught me off guard. well done.
Used to watching a few common youtubers for these.. and dam outta left field! lol loved the video, the way you filmed and your presence etc was really spot on. About to go buy one of these from Memory Express! thx! :) The blood sacrifice line made me comment haha too good
Thank you darlin for the wonderful review. I just bought a TUF MB and and searching for a case to give room for a radiator CPU cooler. You helped.
Excellent review!!! A very detailed and pleasant presentation. Yo... that fan. It's gigantic!
A thorough break-down of the case to go along with the build. Me likes!
Just gotten one and build with rtx 4080. I added another CPU stand with roller to have more space from the floor, it fits perfectly. I think this case can last a 10 years!
Excellent review! Clear and very thorough. Thanks
Iv'e watched this video a few times while deciding on what case to get and after ordering this one so I just hope I'm not disappointed when it arrives Great video and detailed which is exactly what I was looking for.
Were you disappointed?
Got this one myself. What a wonderful case to work on. While it is absolutely massive, all the space makes installing everything a breeze.
thank you for your review and it makes me confirm myself to buy this casing :)
Nice review on a nice looking case. Great. I have the TUF inwin 101 case at the moment.
This video helped me to build my own PC with this badass chassis.
I'm glad I saw this case review, I was torn between the tuf and the mb530p from cooler master, now if I have the space on my desk I know which one to get
Nice mid-tower PC case ! A lot of space inside for air and nice cable management !
I have this case and I am so happy that this case is really sturdy! yet pretty HEAVY! :)
You have given me motivation to build a on my own, I was debating on it for ages but I think I'm ready, just worried about the cpu installation on the motherboard
Another informative and entertaining review, thank you :) Does that paint finish self-clean at 220 °C/Gas mark 7?
Your professionalism is outstanding. Lovely presence too. Positive role model - this industry needs some class. For the record, I am now what you would called a ‘old’ school gamer- although I have never identified with this label. I do know what is aesthetic- and this case with its industrial-influence is very sexy. A hidden gem for sure.
Smart looking and full of great features. I would love to see a smaller version of this same case but I bought it anyway (white version)! Can't wait for it to arrive!
as a person who actually used an extended ATX motherboard (one of those supermicro dual xeons boards). You will need to actually drill holes in the tray to get more mount points. Honestly, very very VERY reliable case. Bought two of these cases (one for my main computer, still use it and might get another case for RTX 3000 card build, and my supermicro 3 gamers 2 CPU build) I will leave a disclaimer that the fans included are quite useful in pushing air, on my supermicro (not intended use case to begin with) most likely will need to invest in getting some 3000RPM fans as the fans are 1500 RPM out of the box. Thermal shutdowns due to airflow not being fast enough for the GPUs (also they are pretty much sandwiched together tightly so theres that). Honestly, I will always recommend this case for building in and not a bad price for the actual quality of this thing. The sheets of metal in this thing are just dense and very VERY VERY STRONG. Not recommending that you drop test it on opening the cardboard box tho. glass luckily didn't shatter when it was giving me a fight getting out of the box. Thanks for the video as it influenced my purchase a year ago.
OMG, I'm sold on that merch! I wish every case has those handles, I move a lot of pc's around, and the lack of holding places is really annoying.
You really saved my bacon. I couldn’t figure out how to connect my fans and your video helped a lot. Cheers!
Hey! What type of rgb cables does the case fans come? The 4 pin rgb or the 3 pin argb?
Great review! Keep up the good work.
very nice, deep and useful review thank you so much!
got this case from some one. one thing i very impress with is front panel cabling is not short compare to cm h500.... which is very short. so cheers on that simple but impressive point
Great review, wicked case! My only suggestion would be to make the ssd mounts be able to cover either side of the mount hole to allow the cables to be on the right and have that Samsung logo upright. Just my OCD when it comes to visual perfection. All in all I will be upgrading and replacing my 280mm AIO with the Asus 360mm AIO and Thor PSU 🤔🤔 Corsair cases have been my go to for most builds lately for budget reasons; this case will be for my personal rig. 👍🏻👍🏻 TYSM for your time and sharing😃😎
thank you i had been trouble disassemblying front part haha
Amazing review! bought it!!
Just got this case for my build based on this video and I like it too, thus far. Really appreciate the handles on top because moving towers is usually a pain.
@@dominichennessy7779 Very well, and yes - haven't had a problem with it thus far. Besides being easy to clean and move, it's built like a tank. :)
@@MMCeditor02 Nice!
What a great review! Thanks
I own this case. Love it! Gotta get my front RGB fans light to turn on.
I just picked one of these up for my PC. I have an ASUS TUF board, and been looking to both replace my current case (Corsair Carbide SPEC-4) with something I can both carry easier but also look and function better, and I also need a case for my second build (a build using all my older parts) so... can't wait :)
Great video to review a great case! Love it
Got this case. Looks solid and well built
Excellent review. Thanks.
Nice to see someone have a full rundown of this case. Just bought it myself on sale for 99€, what a deal for a massive cool looking case with 4 preinstalled fan.
I know I am late but I think your CPU temps were that high because you missed that sticker on the copper pipes of the air cooler. At the place where it makes contact with the CPU heat shield, with the thermal paste interface. Could be wrong though... Thought to tell
thank you so much for the vıdeo ı just bought thıs case keep up the good work please
Is it just me ,but every time I see Briony doing a review I click on it ..It is so refreshing to see an adorable lady give us a tech review on parts ..Great Job as usual ..
this is the case i plan on using for my new ryzen 3000 build! hellz yea
did you bought the case? you didn't have any problems with it?
@@luisfe7187 I did buy the case for my build! great airflow, awesome look. it was a pleasure to build in.
Just returned NZXT h510 and ordered this case. So happy. Can’t wait to start building. Just deciding on my graphics card. Already got my parts: ASUS TUF X570 plus wi fi. Ryzen 7 3700x. Corsair vengeance 8 gb x 2. SSD 1TB. PSU 850w
Funny, I first got that NZXT model then switched to the tuf gt 301 to find out that I had 2 compatibility issues then I went to this case which according to pcpartpicker doesn’t have any issues with the hardware.
Great review. I thought it was going to be too long given that it is in fact almost 30 minutes long, but no. Great work.
I think the added price is fine. Most cases in the price range you are talking about lack space. This is basically a full size tower case minus the added length for a second psu. I was going to buy a corsair case and save 50 bucks. But I wanted to fit the noctua nh-d15 with its second fan with ease. It was definitely worth the purchase.
Very, very nice review of the case. This case is the base for one of the online store builds you can order. I am not really experienced with these components and I was wondering whether you would prefer a regular fan or watercooling like the COOLER MASTERLIQUID ML120R ARGB for a system with an i7-10700K and RTX 2060 8GB graphics card? Thanks so much for your input :)
Hello from Seattle and thanks for this review. As a mobile DJ, I hate how weak laptops are unless you REALLY spend some $. This is case paired with a portable monitor (and hopefully a large 2nd display for the crowd to accompany in the future) is going to make a great DJ box for me and I can utilize the Aura for my light show as a bonus.
If you're not doing any crazy mapping with Resolume you can just us a good CPU with integrated graphics to save weight on a GPU.
Amazing review ! this cabinet have a good air intake in the front? it only has 2 holes down the sides and it worries me.
I run this case in white on my current build and love it, I don't think I'll ever get rid of it and it might even get a second or third build too. (Full Strix build in a Tuf case🤔🤭)
at 11:04 " no rubber protectors for the cable management " : there is a material - i dont know how that is called - which is similar to the rubber used for the other slots for the cable managements, which you can use to make those upper slorts have cable protection. That rubber is used on some doors and windows and has enough " lip " that part which is supposed to get grip ) so that you can put that around and it grips very well since those slots has the semce ountside instead of inside. you cut of as much of that material as you like - look for it in one of the hardware stores nearby - and you place that around the edge of the slots. the said lip gets grip on the very welding seme but you can also make that to be a permanent soultion and glue it on place - please be careful to use glue which does not damage the color so that you do not end up with blank metal there - and so you have a fully protected place throughout whioch you can fidle the cables. I had a nzyt case where those rubber things got after a while lose their fiting they got well lose and felt of and i planed to do exatly this but anyway i fried that board ( dont ask me how even though i think one of the screws of the upper colers felt in and caused a cirkuit short...at least i heard a bang and smoke ). However i think to either resuse the case for a new build but i have an issue with it having only standrad usb ( its a nzxt phantom 410 atx ...if anyone can tell me how i can change parts of it and hwere i can get those please tell me ) or this case will be the one to use and i will do exactly that what i tell you to do and yes you still can even if the cables are allready inthere because that material is not that hard to put on there since it is like a long piece. but now a question from my side since i anway need that for music production and Music video Production and a litle of graphics design ( mostly for the video produckton ). does it get very loud when it runs at its full performance ? this would be an issue for me if that is the case due to vocal recordings and since i do not have the room for a fullfleadged studio and all is in a home Environment i need it to be as silnet as possible. next is : can i shot off the rgb? this is very disturbing for me while writing songs and composing chords and melodies and so on and forth. I did not find on the pages i visited any information about the rgb neither aout how loud it can get ! so it would be nice if you tell me that since you build one with it. thanx alot KitGuru and you got a new subscriber
First time seeing your channel. I must say you present very well and I like how you explain things. I like this case too but still checking around. Looking to build a really good gaming system. I noticed you had 16gb of memory total. Is that adequate for a gaming machine? Or is it all about the graphics card?
I just built new PC last week in that case, i9 10850k, 32GB 3200Mhz RAM and old GTX 1080Ti because can't get any Asus RoG 3080!!! You should go for 32GB RAM, 4x8 looks the best, I just found out I have the same looking RAM as her.
Just picked up this case today and I appreciate this video. I could not, for the life of me, figure what that RGB controller cable was. Glad to know it's optional.
Do you know how to get all 3 fans to light up mine arent and I'm not sure how I've messed it up, I unplugged the controller and I must have re jigged the order and now only one lights up!!!
@@Maggioriano91 got it working I unplugged the cables and put them back together in a different order and it worked but one does spin quicker than the other 2
@@Maggioriano91 no worries I found that no one helped my problem and I had to figure it out on me own so I'm happy to share!!

Greaaaat review. Very helpfull. Good job
Got it now for SG$99.00 as it is on sale and got EVGA AIO 360 for $83.00. Great case for 360 radiator.
amazing review!
I i should get another pc in the near future that case will 100% be a part of my build😍😁
that cooler master cooler looks really nice in that case
Hey Briony, what tune is playing through the build? Great case, but will not suit my MSI MB.... MSI cases are shocking, Cheers
Wondering what the final look of the new 2019 ROG Strix case will be and what will it have over this 501 model🤔
Nice review - GN did a review (critically to a degree) of their ROG case. They put the front glass panel (with the loudest LED array I have ever seen) right up against the fans, but since 3 come stock it at least didn't burst into flames.
Great review, i wanted to ask what's the difference between GT501 and GT501vc?
Awesome review, hello from the US
It isn't a completed computer build until one has made a blood sacrifice. :) Great review. Just wish you put in watercooling at least on top so we can see the spacing between the radiator/fans and the motherboard.
You should have went with the Asus - ROG Ryujin 240 RGB AIO 121.8 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler for a CPU cooler mounted on the top.
Nice case, Nice review, Love the accent. Cheers form the US
That is British , right ?? English is not my main language so I struggle a bit
@@alikhaled2389 Yes.
I have this case and I was gunna ask did yours come with rubber feet on all 4 sides or is mine weird for only having 2 in the front
Great job from the lady, she has a future in media for sure.
Very Cooler Master-ish case! Looks nice, but I don't get the point of including 3 front RGB fans when they are hardly visible in such a closed front panel. If they had added a tempered glass front panel, they would make sense!
i love the accent new sub here
Blood Sacrifice, you know it's a good case and it has chosen you!
Kara Geek I actually bought It today
Does this case include the vertical GPU mount? Or can you purchase one that works with it?
I just ordered the case , Moving the case for cleaning every 6 months with those handles won me !
Did you get it? Is it good?

Those hands and fingers are the best for showcasing cases. ☺️
How is the Airflow in that case considering the front looks like it is blocked off? oh and is that case available in the United States?
lol, was the plant inside the case for scale?
This case looks so good, what more could you want
Awesome guide!!
Care to send this to me for personal testing for the next 10years to see how it runs would be fantastic
Me encanto el video, muchas gracias!!! Desde Perú
Can you add any RGB Led Controller in this case? I.E. Corsair Commander Pro, Airgoo Computer PWM Fan HUB Controller + RGB Controller or the HUE 2 Lighting controller.
I have been looking into this 5 years old case. It looks pretty good but even though it supposedly supports E.ATX motherboards, i am still unsure if my E.ATX motherboard will fit in this case. I have already been burned by something like this before. Bought a Cooler master case that also claim that it supports E.ATX MOTHERBOARDS and it turns out it didn't. Motherboard completely cover the cable holes and there was nowhere to go to route the cables. Even though I'm a little unsure, this one looks to be a little safer than the cooler master case that i bought that didn't work with my big motherboard. It looks like i can also use the HDD holes to route cables with this one, if i need options.
I bougth this case recently for my partner and its amazing, BUT... how do you connect the front panel fans???? It has an Asus Aura MOBO (X570 plus wifi), same brand and almost same year as the case, and cant find where to put the cable! Do i really need to buy somethign else to install them? D:
18:33 i wish I could do that in real life.
Lol yeah.. me too! xD
isnt there aurasync to control the fanlights from windows via software. Just bought trhis case and other asus parts to sync them on, so i hope you can control all of them trough aura sync.-

I wonder the same, have 36x6.5cm ek rad and wonder does it fits

Do you need to peel off the plastic underneath the cooler before installing it onto processor? I'm just saying, I don't know, but I think I saw something there ;)
