thx
Hey Electric Teeth, I have watched several of your videos today since I was after my first electric toothbrush. I went for this, can't wait until it comes home. All your videos are very very good and detailed. Keep up the good work!
Thank you. I am glad you have found them helpful. Do let me know what you think once you have tested it out.
Feedback
So - because you specified price change expectations (which by the way were spot on), this review is still extremely useful 2 years later. Value for money is one of the most important ways I choose a product, and the Philips website is not clear enough about what features there are (despite their attempt to allow you to compare devices, reviews like this really are the only way to see the device in detail). Thank you.
Thanks for the kind words Mat.
@@ElectricTeethThe app has been updated to improve data.
I'm using the oral b pro 500 vitality edition and works works great for now I would like one with a pressure sensor too but I don't wanna spend too much for it
If it works, stick with it!
340 pounds = 370 euros in august 2020. I just (december 2020) bought a two pack (without the travel cases) for a very competitive price of 197 euros. That is 98,5 euros or 92 pounds for one brush. Shop around I would say. This brush is really worth it.
Just brushed my teeth and I feel different. Will come back after a week for feedback.
We’re waiting! 😁
Yay or Nay?
I don’t you’ve bought it thou? Lol
Did it kill you?
Are you still alive?
Hi, I would kindly like to know which teeth cleaning system is more effective and goes deeper between the circular motion of the oral b io or genius x and the ultrasonic oscillatory motion of the Philips 9000 or xiaomi top models.. and which is the best to prevent gums from bleeding thanks
Any toothbrush used with the correct technique, brushing time and routing can help prevent bleeding gums. There are studies that compare Oral-B to Sonicare and each come to their own conclusions. But a piece of research that analysed all existing studies said that overall, Oral-B is considered the most effective. But, the study that came to that conclusion said more research was required. Ultimately the clinical data does not exist to give a definitive answer. I would worry less about which is 'best' and worry more about your brushing technique and routine.
Picked this up today from amazon for £120. Hope thats a good deal.
Me too 😁🤞🏻
Hi, I purchased the oral b advanced clean toothbrush would all oral b rechargeable toothbrushes have the same power but differ in modes and extra features? All I want really is sensitive mode due to my gum issues and sensitive teeth.
Not all Oral-B toothbrushes have the same power settings. But, the difference is very small, so don't worry about this. The main difference between brushes are the cleaning modes, features and box contents. The sensitive mode can help, but you might find (if you are not already), that using a sensitive bristled head on your Advanced Clean toothbrush will be more gentle on the teeth and gums.
I recently purchased the Philips Sonicare Diamond toothbrush to replace my older Oral B. I’m finding the vibration hard to get used to with my new toothbrush. Have you had similar complaints, and would the Oral B electric toothbrushes have less vibration?
Nancy. Some people do take time to adjust. Most people get used to it after a couple of weeks, but admittedly some don't. Oral-B brushes still have vibrations to the brush head, but it is quite different as you are experiencing. You don't get the tickling sensation like you do with sonic toothbrushes.
Thank you so much... you're right, I am now used to the vibration, especially after switching to the Sensitive mode!
Hi, Can we use on 9000k series tounge brush? because this series dont have 5th mode(tounge) like as smart series?
You can use a tongue brush on this handle if you want. It does not have to be used with the specific tongue cleaning mode.
@@ElectricTeeth thank you! 🙂
Hi there Is this the best choice for porcelains and composite veneers? I have a sensitive teeth.
Hi Raymond. I would recommend the Oral-B Pro 2 2500 as per this article: www.electricteeth.com/uk/best-electric-toothbrush-receding-gums-sensitive-teeth/ Veneers can be cleaned with any electric toothbrush.
What a thorough review! Since you test toothbrushes on a daily basis, do you suggest spending the extra 25€ on this newer model (as it's currently 85€ in my country)? My second option would be the protective clean 4500 at 60€. I don't care much for the extra features, I am mostly worried about the noise (having used oral-b for years, I got quite frustrated with that) and the durability. Thank you!
Hi. I think you were asking whether it is worth spending €25 more on the DiamondClean 9000 over the ProtectiveClean 4500. I think for most people this is a no. €25 is a small premium over what you could pay, but unless you need or wanted these features, you suggest yourself no, then there isn't much point.
@@ElectricTeeth I was mostly worried the protective clean would make more noise and would be less durable because of its cheaper price. I will go with the protective clean then, thank you!!
No reason to worry about the noise or durability. They produce the same amount of noise and I have no reason to suggest the durability is any different. 👍
I just bought a two pack of this. Hope it will work better than my 7 year old oral b 600. Time to try something new
I think it is safe to say you will notice the difference, in a positive way.
@@ElectricTeeth 😍😍thanks for your video 😘
The metal vibrating prong became completely loose and was unusable after 10 months. Had to open it up and re tighten the single tiny screw to fix the prong back in place. That was 2 months ago and it has become loose again. Very dissapointed, ordered a io9
Thanks for sharing this. This issue should have been covered under the warranty, so you wouldn't have had to do it yourself. If you have now opened it the warranty will be void. I hope you find that the iO9 serves you better.
I have a Philips Sonicare toothbrush HX9100. Unfortunately the manual was misplaced. This toothbrush has only one button, whereas all the toothbrushes I have looked at have two. Even the manual that I looked at illustrates two buttons! Help!
Does this look like your brush? www.documents.philips.com/assets/20201022/d6abccf0f1a749f185ceac5c018a03b8.pdf?_ga=2.2949236.570525868.1665158182-1967786771.1652967738
So the Diamond Clean Smart is cheaper than the Regular Diamond Clean ? Even though the Diamond Clean Smart is superior to the Regular Diamond Clean?
Yes it was when I recorded the video. Typically, it has recently come down in price as part of a limited time deal, so it looks like it will go up again soon and the Smart version be the one to pick. Comparison with this and the DiamondClean Smart coming in the near future. Written comparison available now: www.electricteeth.com/uk/oral-b-genius-9000-vs-sonicare-diamondclean-smart/
@@ElectricTeeth Thank you for sharing the review link!
Just got this for $80.00
The diamond classic does not connect to Bluetooth right?
Correct Marc. It does not have Bluetooth built-in.
I am confused as to what handle to buy....I have a two pack of DiamondClean HX9912/99....whatever that means....I need to purchase a handle for my husband as his was lost in luggage...I know there are several different models of diamond clean but it is overwhelming as to what I should buy to replace his handle...please help. Which model do I purchase? Thank you.
If you want the exact same handle (same features etc) then you want one of these: www.usa.philips.com/c-p/HX9911_76/diamondclean-9000-sonic-electric-toothbrush-with-app These are brand new, fully boxed models with accessories you may already have. You might be able to buy the handle only, but they can be hard to find.
Which Oral B toothbrush is the very best for gum & plaque ?
There isn't 1 brush from Oral-B that is the very best for gums and plaque. They are all good for gums and plaque if you use them correctly, twice a day for 2 minutes each time. Technically, there is an argument that the more premium models like Genius and iO Series are better. However the reality this the difference would be minimal and unlikely clinically significant. I would stat out with something like the Oral-B Pro 2 2500.
How long the battery last? I have to charge mine every 10 days. I don’t like it.
It is supposed to last 14 days, although in my testing I achieved up to 22. 10 is a bit lower than I would expect. Are you brushing twice a day for 2 minutes? Or are you brushing for longer or more frequently?
Charger from previous dot work? What to do ?
You want to use a charging stand from another brush you previously owned? Did this not come with an appropriate stand when you purchased it?
How to get guided brushing in the app I acnt find it.
There is no option for guided/real time brushing with this model.
@@ElectricTeeth then there should not be footage of teeth in the app like it is shown. Int missleading
Apologies if you feel that way but we were using it in relation to the point that it doesn't offer real-time tracking.
why do you pronounce it sonic-hair?
So which toothbrush is the best?
Ultimately depends what you are looking for in your toothbrush Viliam . Our top pick for the UK is the Oral-B Pro 2 2500 due to the performance and value for money. Here is our review: kzhead.info/sun/gpx-ctlsqYp7fmg/bejne.html Here is a video of our best picks: kzhead.info/sun/dayAetedaXmOoGw/bejne.html If you want more information to help make your selection, this article will help: www.electricteeth.com/uk/best-electric-toothbrush/
@@ElectricTeeth thanks for your great opinion. But can I ask you which one it’s the best if I don’t mind the price? Looking for healthy gums and clean and whiter tooth’s Many thanks
The absolute ultimate is the Sonicare DiamondClean Smart as an all round package. However, I stand by the fact that unless you really want all the extras that models like the DiamondClean offers, the Pro 2 2500 from Oral-B is still an excellent choice. The brush itself doesn't really clean the teeth any better.
I thought the person did not need to move the brush in circles? The guy is moving it. I thought you were just meant to hold it on the teeth and the moving was done by the brush itself?
Sonicare suggest moving the brush from tooth to tooth and let the brush do all the work. That said our in-house dentists recommend using small circular motions as they believe this is beneficial.
I just bought this from Boots for £130
How is it now?
@@hithere5768 the best toothbrush ive used

Oral b io
Vs new diamond clean
Hi Ryan. I have a number of comparison videos of the iO coming soon, including with this DiamondClean 9000. They will be on the channel soon. In the meantime there is a written comparison available if you would like to read that: www.electricteeth.com/uk/sonicare-diamondclean-9000-vs-oral-b-io/
congrats mate you utterly failed at demonstrating how to use bybrushing whole arm like a normal toothbrush Lmao
