The touchscreen gimmicks mean it would require them to put down the crack pipe and make things work, not just slap some roms and an emulator together and send it. Never gonna happen.

I like how Alucard started out as a character that looked like Bella Lugosi Dracula just cause and gradually stole the series.

We need a new Castlevania, Preferably, about the year 1999 where Dracula was resurrected complete and with all his power facing Julius Belmont and in the end was sealed in a solar eclipse after his defeat. This was only mentioned in the aria of sorrow game with Soma Cruz.
I always found 3D Castlevania unappealing, but this one has the right style. Looks great aesthetically.
The amount of ignorance in the comments... This is V Rising, and it's great! It's actually amazing that we're getting a castlevania crossover in this game, the devs have nothing to do with the Castlevania series themselves.

Symphony of the night still the best castlevania game ever made. That game was way beyond its time. I strongly recommend not just castlevania fan but anyone down to play this genre.
That and FFVII, two games from 1997 and two of the greatest games ever created. Both with some of the greatest soundtracks ever conceived as well. Currently I've been playing SotN on the PS4 and I love the new voice overs. Alucard sounds more sophisticated and elegant.
I need a sequel to Castlevania 64. It was the only one I could really get into

I love that we're getting Alucard's classic outfit from SOTN! But will we be getting Dracula's too? To this day, I still think that was the best design the character ever had!

It's called V-Rising. It's a high rated game on steam and this? Is just an expansion DLC they're featuring which include Simon Belmont, and possible other family members, as actual bosses.

@@baruskatgaetherneut1547 Technically speaking yeah, the only 2 ways, that Alucard could realistically defeat Simon in a battle, is if Simon hasn't faced Dracula yet. 🤔 If this is the case, it could mean that maybe it was Alucard that *educated* Simon on Draculas secrets, *BEFORE* Super Castlevania IV. You know? like a training session. The second option, is if Simon *has* indeed lready fought Dracula, but because of this, Simons health is compromised to the point that he is severly sick, and already near death, (Dracula put a curse on him in the game Draculas Curse) and so Alucard would in fact prove too powerful for this weakend state Simon is in, thus beating him easily.

It does have a release date. Full 1.0 release is May 8.
@cosm0850 That's the date for the actual launch on Steam. PS5 still doesn't even have a date, other than "later in 2024". So yeah, they're showing off dlc for an early access Steam game, with no mention of when the base game is even coming to their own system.
The game is already out on PC so we get the full package when VRising coming out

Tried to play this game last year on the steam deck. For some reason it just wouldn't start so I had to refund it. Planned on giving it another go at some point hoping the issue would be resolved. Especially now, I would really like to play this game.
