For day to day casual, I alternate between my Fossil with the Black Housing /Neon Blue silicone strap and my Fossil Silver Housing/Black Silicone strap depending on what colors I am in. When I'm dressing up, I have a nice Seiko with a leather strap and a Citizen that I wear. I can pretty much afford to get any watch I want, but why fix what isn't broken. I like what I have. :)

  • Love the channel, I usually come for the fragrance reviews. I am also a watch guy. I like the choices you put forth. I ALWAYS wanted a Rolex GMT told myself when I hit 50. However, as luck would have it I found the Tudor Black Bay GMT and its amazing I love the classic vibe of the watch its like a classic Rolex, and unique. My first pretty good watch I bought was made by Tissot 1000m diver, I think for those looking to step up above Seiko and Citizen (both great watches) {Seiko for mechanical and Citizen I think does better solar quartz] Tissot, Longines and Hamilton offer a lot for the money. Others that are solid are Breitling and Omega can't go wrong with either. Lastly, I own divers I like that style of watch but a brand that I love, it's less money than some of the others I own but offers an incredible watch for less than $2000 is Oris. Specifically, the Oris Aquis. They are unique (doesn't try to look like Rolex etc..) the shape for a big watch sits great on the wrist even under dress shirts. It's still a family owned watch company (so NOT part of the Swatch Group) which is kind of neat and nostalgic, quality of bracelet and crystal is up with far more expensive brands. Your suggestions for people looking for a first solid nice watch Seiko/ Citizen as well the suggestion of a Casio G-shock for durability (I ran over mine and it still works) are all great recommendations.

  • I don't know much about watches. I've seen Seiko, Citizen and know of Rolex, but my mentality was "if it tells time almost as accurately as another, I'll spend my money on a cheaper piece so I can afford other things." That said, my only "nice" watches are from Skagen. They're inexpensive but just look nice without being overly expensive or too big. It's simple and effective. This video is making me consider getting a seiko.

  • As a 23 year old recently turned 24, the Orient Mako 2 is one of the best watches one can find. It's an automatic dive watch, with hacking and hand winding and the a beautiful dial, similar to those found in an Explorer. Sure, the end links are hollow, but those can easily be replaced by another bracelet or with a Nato. For approx. $160, you can't beat that value. I love the Kamasu too, but those looks like a Seiko Cocktail collection homage so it's a no go for me.

  • I actually like to get watches from countries the firearms I like, for instance Prim from the Czech republic, swiss watches, etc. I think good engineering and build quality translates a lot.

  • I find it hard to justify having a basic watch when I can have a quality smartwatch like the Samsung Galaxy watch. I have that, replaced the band with a metal one, and I love it. I have an analog face on it, but it has a reminder when I need to get up and move around, keeps track of my step count, I get text notifications, I can check the weather, I can pay with just a tap, etc. There are some hybrid watches out there, but none are quite as good as a full smartwatch.

  • The seiko sarb033 is the perfect example of how you don't have to spend thousands of dollars to get a watch that will go up in value. They are selling north of $600 and are continuing to go up. I wish I had got one with my sarb017.
