I think you might be referring to cases where the size of both entire militaries were that different? There are some examples of that as well, but in most of those cases, it was more a matter of the larger force just "quitting", rather than actually being beat. The USA in Vietnam and Afghanistan immediately comes to mind. Of course, in those cases, we aren't talking about "total" war. Not to downplay the ultimate sacrifice given in those conflicts, the total casualties in both of those conflicts combined were less than lost in a single battle in other wars. And Vietnam and Afghanistan combined lasted for 30+ years. When talking about global powers that aren't next to each other, you have to consider how much of their force can they actually bring to the battle, while still protecting their borders. You would also need to take into account allies of each country. An attack on the UK would trigger all the NATO countries to fulfill their treaty obligations. There goes that 10 to 1 advantage. That being said...... WTF would the UK and India go to war? What next, the US and Sweden going to war? LOL.
if you talk about training, our(indian) soldiers are trained in every climate including the freezing heights of mountains to the heat waves of deserts. Our soldiers also have a better morale. Do not forget the times when Idia has won battles of 120 men+4 hunters vs 3000 men+40 tanks(longewala battle) and more

May be a 10km radius on each, but that is more than enough for a country as small as the UK.. as you got only around 80 cities in your country and the majority of population and assets are within those cities, In the case of India, we got around 4000 cities and a land area of about 3.2million Square kilometres... Sometimes, size does matters.....

Per capita is something like dividing GDP with the number of people in the country. Basically it's an avg of individual income in terms of GPD. Correct me if I am wrong.
Per capita income (PCI) or total income measures the average income earned per person in a given area (city, region, country, etc.) in a specified year. It is calculated by dividing the area's total income by its total population even tho India's per capita income is low, we have much lower cost of living so it equalises the income. The UK is 7 times more expensive than India to live in. We get same stuff for much cheaper prices mostly because we manufacture a lot stuff , unlike The UK which imports from other countries.
GDP is bad economy meter. Moving money around goes to GDP. Production capasity and what things cost is more important.

Well, to be real, neither the UK nor India has the ability to do a sustained attack on the other. The distance is huge, and the necessary assets for that situation are too few in number.

@@golem3958 Just because you have a deep water navy doesn't mean you have the capacity to transport enough troops for an invasion force. Do they have the capability to start it? Yes. Sustain it? Not for very long. Do anything beyond naval or air engagements? Highly doubtful.

The world's largest nuclear powers: 1) Russia has the most verified nuclear devices 2) America is easily second 3) China 4) France 5) United Kingdom 6) Pakistan 7) India If we are going purely by the number of nuclear devices, Pakistan is a more powerful military than India. Now obviously, we know that isn't true. Just shows that there is far more to military strength than nuclear devices.
