  • I love submission grappling, but to make it more entertaining, especially for non grapplers, we need short rounds. Maybe 3 x 3 minute rounds. 1 point for a takedown and. 1 point for a near submission. Also lose a point for stalling.

  • RDR didn’t come to grapple. Didn’t even want to engage. All he wanted to do was show off his takedown defense.

    • @@AmericanJohnGrassName any high level sport and you can say the same thing. Unlike other sports they’ve broken the art of fighting to a singular form in ju jitsu just like boxing does. Fun to watch but letting a man come and grab you without getting punched is a bit less intense for most viewers. They should have had this go for more time. I think it would have been more conclusive. 🤷‍♂️

    • @@JohnSmith-sh1zg I’m with you. I love jiu Jitsu but often it’s terrible to watch. And I can see how that would especially be the case for viewers who’ve never practiced the sport and have no idea what’s going on. I was only saying if you think this looks like two kids paying then you should go to your nearest jiu jitsu gym, spar with a blue belt and see what they can do with you. It’s eye opening for anybody to find out there are so many non assuming people in the world who can pin them to the ground and strangle them without much effort.
