12 years old vs 6 months old. Sophie is the one that initiates the interaction and she’s also the one to tell him when she’s done. Today it was very short lived. Norm is pretty respectful of the cues she gives. Gotta love all the stages of a dog’s life.

Senior chihuahuas are awesome, super snuggly and affectionate; that’s been our experience. Sadly they are also much more fragile.
Very cute!! What happened to baby girl's leg??
She broke it a few weeks ago, just above the wrist. She jumped out of my arms and I couldn’t react fast enough so she dropped about 18-24” onto a slippery floor. Her splint gets refreshed every week and apparently it’s healing well.
@@NotSoFastOldtymer Oh, poor little thing! I get it. I have a squirmy little chi also; he is over 10 yrs old and hasn't mellowed at all; when I hold him I must be VERY careful not to drop him or let him launch himself out of my arms and it's not easy; he is a WIGGLE WORM! For this reason he usually wears his harness during the day; it goes across his chest and under his arms (forelegs); it's quite comfy (nicely padded) and doesn't rub him sore or anything like that. I never attach the leash to his collar, only to the harness so it's very convenient for walks and when I hold him, I can hook a finger under one or more of the straps for an extra secure grip. I remove it at night when he sleeps. It's saved that hyper doggie so many times! I hope she's feeling better soon; give her a kiss from us. 😘😘
