This is my version of the song from "Ronja Rövardotter / Ronia the robbers daugther" written by our most loved Swedish writer, Astrid Lindgren , whose books have been read all over the world. This song from the movie has always been very dear to me.
For a long time now I wanted to make my own version of it, and make some small changes in the melody. What do you think? :)
I really hope you will enjoy my version of this song!
The Swedish lyrics and translation can be found both further down here in the description, or in the subtitles of the video.
Text: Astrid Lindgren
Original song/music by: Björn Isfält
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WATCHING AND LISTENING! ♥
Lyrics of the text and translation can be found in the comments :)

  • Hi, my family is from Sri Lanka. One day, this song popped up while we were trying to feed lunch to my 8-month-old son. Something unexpected happened: my baby ate without a problem. I thought it was because of the wolf in the video, but I soon realized he liked the song. Not just wolves; every night before going to sleep, we play this song for him, and sometimes he falls asleep to it.

So I’m very sure, your mother heard the song, may her soul Rest In Peace. So sorry for your loss

  • This song, this lullaby It satiates a longing I’ve had for a long time hidden. For peace, for rest, for respite among the seas around filled with the pain of others I take on in order for life to flourish. And sadly I have went too far, I have lost parts of myself, and I cannot truly be whole anymore without what I’ve given. This, however, puts the discordance and unrest to a state where it no longer hurts. Thank you Jonna, you have put me and other parts of my existence to peace for the time being until it’s called upon again.

There are solution to this where the equipment block lights from going up, but there is a reason they dont want us humans to see the clear sky. I just wish the entire humanity would wake up soon and realize we are nothing but slaves. A few people controll this world, we the many could make this a paradise. But fear is what is stopping you all. Only thing to do is to kill all the leaders, and the police that will protect them. I know its sad but there are no other way. It will just get worse.

    • Hello, my name is Glenn. I agree with a lot of what you’ve said. The beauty of this lullaby has also captivated me. Long ago, The Vikings (my ancestors) also traveled to the land of England where many of my other ancestors originated. They also journeyed to what is now Russia, they were the Kyivan Rus. I think this explains the similarities that you and I hear between our native tongues and the words that are spoken in this otherworldly Lullaby.

I told him that I didn't know because it's a different language than ours (Spanish), so I told him that you don't need to understand the lyrics to understand the feelings, you just have to close your eyes and flow with the rhythm. He loved it, and before the song ended, he fell asleep on my chest. Thank you so much for this Jonna, your voice does not only put kids to sleep, but also fades away my sorrows for a moment. And that's a wonderful gift.

    • "In anxiety one feels uncanny. Here the particular indefiniteness of that which Dasein finds itself alongside in anxiety, comes proximally to expression: the "nothing and nowhere". But here "uncanniness" also means "not-being-at home." [das Nicht-zuhause-sien]. In our first indication of the phenomenal character of Dasein's basic state and in our clarification of the existential meaning of "Being-in" as distinguished from the categorical signification of 'insideness'. Being-in was defined as "residing alongside . . .", "Being-familiar with . . ." This character of Being-in was then brought to view more concretely through the everyday publicness of "they", which brings tranquilize self-assurance -- 'Being-at-home', with all its obviousness -- into the average everydayness of Dasein. On the other hand, as Dasein falls, anxiety brings it back from the absorption in the 'world'. Everyday familiarity collapses. Dasein has been individualized, the individualized as Being-in-the-world. Being-in enters into the existential 'mode' of the "not-at-home". Nothing else is meant by our talk about 'uncanniness'."
