Ramadan Kareem !
Inshallah this Ramadan is a beautiful Ramadan in which all of our spirits are elevated and we remain on this path. It was an easy day of fasting, alhamdulillah! I think, for myself, the days get harder towards the 3rd week 😌
I shared my lentil soup recipe and a delicious dairy free dessert called "Osmaleeye" in Arabic. Inshallah I am still vlogging and sharing more recipes, day to day life and also some social experiments during this month ❤️

  • Start building the connection with one Ayah, learn it’s meaning. Then read half a page and build your way up to full page. Sometimes you read an ayah and you end up reading 3 pages because it recites a story! You get so immersed in the story you just can’t let go of the Quran. I started many years go by opening a random page and reading random Ayah in that page, but before opening it I tell my self that Allah is speaking to me trough that Ayah and he is guiding me. Setting the initiation to be guided by Allah and feeling that connection grow, by reading the meaning of each Ayah, it was most helpful. Now I can read a page or 2, 4 and more. It’s a habit you build, it requires time, so be kind to yourself.
