  • Japan culture is originally from China 👍

    • I can’t say that. I can only say that it is greatly influenced by China.

    • @jackychen5578 Well, Japan is basically made up of people from China. The original natives or aborigines are Burakumins, Ainus, etc. The migration of Chinese to Japan probably started earlier than that the recorded history of Xufu (Jofuku) who went to the eastern islands (Japan) with 5,000 girls and boys during the Qin Shihuang reign. There is still a statue of him in Japan. It was said he became the first emperor of Japan. Like many Chinese who migrated overseas, for example, to Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, etc., the Japanese who came from China changed their names for various reasons and partly to blend into the community. Past and recent DNA tests by the Japanese themselves show that they are mostly of Han Chinese origins. (Well, note that even the so-called Tibetans have the same DNA as Han Chinese.)

  • lol. I am in tears now 😂. Smell of burning general mobilization, blazed flower glue with coconut emperor and Buddha leaps over the wall in golden soup. These are well known, traditional Cantonese dishes. Absolutely precious. I read Chinese and I can never imagine anyone translating these dishes directly and literally. The first dish can be translated into “a large selection of assorted BBQ meat” 2nd dish can be “fish maw stew in coconut soup” 3rd dish is a stew of an assortment of precious dried seafood. It was given this strange name because even Buddha, who is vegetarian, leaps over the wall when he smells this dish.😂

Thank you sooo much Stephanie for yet another wonderful, wonderful in the true sense of the word, break. China was nothing like I would have expected. • Oh my dear. A few travels tips I've learned the hardway. 1. In my travel purse, I always carry an extra pair of quick dry undies (or two), listerine mouthwash spray, and a tiny travel toothbrush. 2. In Google Translate, you can download specific languages that can be used offline when you have no internet. 3. I have a tiny umbrella made for backpackers. It folds incredibly small and weighs next to nothing. Made by Montbell. Those three tips have saved my bacon on many a travel delay/times when my bag was delayed. 4. Bonus tip: Sephora has many tiny travel versions of makeup, and a tiny pressed powder foundation goes a very long way. That being said, you don't need makeup. ❤❤

  • James Clavell was known to be a writer of great historical accuracy. I remember vividly about halfway through Sho-Gun (I continued reading all of the series except for Whirlwind way back when.) that I would probably have little trouble becoming a vegetarian given some of the heathen-like mannerisms of the Europeans (we Americans are worse) at the time compared to the refined and almost dignified social customs, manners and mannerisms of the Japanese (and the Chinese as well). The view through your camera lense and vivid narration brought all of those memories back into crystal clear focus unlike anything I've experienced since. That includes an all expense-paid tour of Saigon for one year although the vietnamese are an entirely different culture than the Japanese. Not bad, just different. That being said, I want to express my gratitude, Stephanie for re-kindeling those old thoughts and impressions for me. You do an absolutely marvelous job of giving life to an empty residential street or a not-yet-open restaurant. Thanks. Jack L. And yes, you made all those dresses look pretty good, too!

  • Wow! Thank you! Thank you! This was so brave of you! I thoroughly enjoyed exploring China along with you! That garden is my dream garden. Water falls, streams , ponds, fish, lush greens with pops of color... 😍 You found some gorgeous clothes too. I enjoyed the editing of the video too. Before you said anything about your face I was thinking, "Wuw. That tool has really made her skin look good! Or has all that green tea cleansed Stephanie? Her skin looks so clear and bright! So beautiful. She must be using a filter on her phone. "

  • Thank you for taking us on this little mini trip! It was wonderful to see the garden at the restaurant. I was a little apprehensive when you got in the taxi and went an hour away, but why not try and see some of the city! you are truly a world traveler! I really admire you! And you managed to buy some beautiful dresses! My sister and her family lived in China for several years, so I really love to see the sights there. I hope that the rest of your trip is uneventful and you get home for a rest!

  • With little bias and prejudices, but except you, the views look amazing, hotel and restaurant look so luxurious, meal for the emperor and what a park with beautiful koi fish.
