Drogba and carlos know whats up, Ronaldo Nazario was the greatest striker I’ve ever seen, i think its a generational thing though, you remember most fondly the players you played with or grew up watching.
I did not grow up in Maradona's era but I appreciate how great he was. However, the current generation tends to be dismissive abt players that has played before their time.

i personally think R9 is the greatest player i have ever seen ....... and he fulfilled possibly only 60% of his potential. Which makes sad when i think about but also I'm grateful that i saw his whole career.... only one phenomenon.

Winning a seven game WC competition with brilliant teams does not overtake the records of CR7. The best ever, absolutely incomparable!

@@It14f-37 He played in a soft era and league, for an uber stacked team, so those 800 goals and 10 La Liga don't impress me much, other ATGs would have easily replicated that. He only has 3 UCL, even UEFA say so. He was a sub in 2006, Ronaldinho was running the show at Barca back then, Messi had little to no merit in winning that UCL. He won 1 Copa America in countless attempts, and it was the weakest level in decades. At one point they were organizing Copa America almost every year so he could finally win one. His 2022 World Cup was rigged. As for my concept of overrated, you need to look up what that word means. It doesn't mean someone isn't good, it means he's not as good as he's being portrayed. Greatness wise, Messi is in my opinion no. 5 all time. Great, but not the greatest.

Every time I see a video asking who the best player ever was the name of Diego Maradona pops up, I wonder why? But my opinion is that only those who played football to a decent level and had great natural talent can appreciate that what Diego did takes the most effort and talent to achieve. The key word here is "Talent". Messi did crazy numbers, never had an big injury, had the most professional and dedicated teams looking after his health, family etc; was as professional as you can possibly be, had the very best talent of his generation playing next to him etc etc but I personally think that in Pure raw talent Maradona was still superior. My list is Maradona, Pele and Messi. Sorry, I forgot; is Rio being friendly with CR7 by putting him in the list?
That’s it, I said it many times before - Diego Armando Maradona has to be on the top but no body from gen Z wanna listen to me. What he achieved on those muddy fields with mostly average players against all odds and let’s not forget defenders who mostly wanted to disable him is amazing. One for sure no one of the top ever had - the sheer will to win at all cost. The leadership he commanded, 1990 World Cup barely walking due to injuries he pushed Argentina to the finals and almost won. Messi is certainly right next to him they are so similar but Messi don’t have the other qualities I just mention well, you guys just so/ heard what legends just said. Case closed
