    • @ThorsHammer look at the little fury fan! Fury needed 11 rounds to KO a man that was out on his feet after round 3 from exhaustion. Fury isn’t a massive puncher far from it. That he is sitting more on his punches is only since he has lost his speed which he will need against usyk. Fury’s biggest wins are old man klit, wilder (who has 0 wins of his own) and whyte who was shot to bits. You need a reality check, fury is 6.7, much slower, doesnt punch as hard as you think he does and certainly doesn’t have the stamina. Just look at his punch output. Hope you are getting paid to lick the boots my man

  • Joshua has never solved his stamina issue. When he bursts into action and throws combinations at full intensity he will send almost anyone to the canvas, he is that powerful, but it absolutely empties his tank and he needs 3 or 4 rounds to recover, during which he is totally vulnerable. It happened against Klitschko and he was fortunate Vlad was too cautious to fully take advantage of it and finish him off, it happened against Ruiz, it happened again with Usyk. After two intense rounds 8 and 9 you can see his legs were gone, a more powerful opponent would have dropped him in the last 2 rounds.

    @branlotin@branlotin Жыл бұрын
    • Some people naturally have less stamina and will never reach the levels that some other people can reach. I'm quite sure that Joshua's camp is aware of his stamina issues but they haven't been able to find the solution.

      @centralscs@centralscs Жыл бұрын
    • @@centralscs yes some people have better natural stamina than others but stamina is not linked to genetics. You can definitely improve stamina it depends on your method of training. Off the bat AJ is at a huge disadvantage being 6'6 and muscle bound but i also believe that he does too much of these modern day strength and conditioning sports science crap! AJ needs to do more old skool boxing drills and his stamina and conditioning will improve e.g. constantly hitting the heavy bags

    • @@solomonsolomon8806 : You can't learn the solid fundamentals of Usyk during a single fight camp. Joshua is a decent boxer, but Usyk is just better. That leaves Joshua with one option left, and that is to catch Usyk with something and knock him out. Besides that ... he will lose.

    • @@makingwaves1239 I am sure you watch Bivol vs Canelo , You saw what he was doing to Canelo right? That was exactly what Aj should have done to Usyk, boxing level is so great, but calling AJ decent is very wrong, I dont see any HW throwing 5-7 jabs, i have been watching diff HW fights for over 10 yrs then throw max 3-4 usyk throws 5-7 that is a problem on it own for AJ. in the first fight all AJ needed to do was be on his back foot and let the man who wants the belt come for it. When AJ did that he hurt Usyk but in the 7th round he came to claim the middle of the ring, that was EGO, Fury would have won that fight. Fury can make the fight boring but the AJ should not have fought Usyk the way he did, he could have continued with the way he fought Ruiz in the second fight and he wouldn't even need to move too much bcos Usyk moves too so he would have gotten more time to pounds on him in the later rounds.

    • @@solomonsolomon8806 : You are to hung up in weight and muscles. Remember Tyson? He basically manhandled boxers that was much taller and heavier than himself. Size is not everything. If so, you should be able to throw any big brawler into the ring and let them be the world heavyweight champion. Anthony Joshua was hyped from the very start of his career. Usyk was anonymous, but people that knew boxing would easily see what he was capable of. His fundamentals is rock solid from the amateurs. You can't teach that in a fight camp over a few weeks. Anthony Joshua is just a decent boxer that probably wouldn't be near a world title if he fought 20 years ago. But among blind people, the one eyed man is king.

But OU is like an angry eel, when he strikes it paralyzes AJ for a moment, and on defense he uses his remaining energy to change the angle and absorb AJ's good power. AJ needs to be faster because he has stamina. Good luck to both of you, for the sake of boxing.

  • I really like both of these guys; but Usyk puts together such an incredible volume of punches and is such a whirlwind, it just creates so much difficulty. Loveable guys both. I do think that Usyk will encounter an altogether different type of opponent in Fury. Tyson is crisp, mobile, with a piston-like jab and exceptional movement. He is also very, very powerful. I'm NOT at all counting Usyk out; just saying it's a more difficult fight.

    • Not really, Deontay rocked Fury a couple times and he is no boxer.... he even got dropped by Ngannou who has never even boxed professionally AT ALL. Fury has some decent movement, but his main tactic appears to be lying all over his opponent to tire them out.... Usyk is too clever and too quick for that nonsense. I really hope he shuts that loudmouth 'Dosser' up for good and unifies all the titles for his country and his people.

      @Coconautify@Coconautify3 ай бұрын
    • Fury no longer has the type of movement and footwork he was known for earlier in his career. He's much more reliant on using his size to wear opponents down. That's why I think he looked bad against Ngannou, he finally ran into someone stronger than himself he could not push around.

  • About the stamina of AJ: George Foreman improved in his 40s after a 10 years break with no training or workout, contrary to his 20s when he was i a perfect condition. The secret, as he later confessed was the low level of stress. After preaching and doing charity for 10 years, he approached the fights more relaxed and clear minded, as contrary to his youth, when his legs were shaby sometimes despite his punching power. So stamina is nor onlt about the physical aspect, but also about the psyhical one, if not even more. Usyk seems more relaxed and driven by a higher cause fhan AJ and that probably made the difference. This is not only about the skills and shape level, and it requires a different type of training.
