That was a good tip about using yipping coyotes right into the pup distress 3. I've never heard of that. I usually end the stand with pup distress 3. I'll definitely have to try that out.

When you are hunting 3 stands in an hour, how close are your stands? I’m just getting started, and I’ve got permission from 4 property owners, all on different sides of the county. 3 stands is easily 2 hours or more of driving in the hunting day.

Have you guys ever tried "baiting" for coyotes? I have access to a local deer processor who told me I could have all of the meat scraps that I wanted. Ever tried that? Does it work?

Yes look up KZhead videos on baiting coyotes and they will teach you all you need to learn to get started..then you'll figure it out and also find handy tips from your success and come share with others! From what I've heard baiting takes time you bait them for weeks at a time then start leaving less food like cutting them back...makes the coyotes think they have competition and they will start hitting your bait stands earlier than they were before in fear of competition on the food source your supplying..then hunt them...they say don't go throw bait out expecting to successfully hunt it right away...give it time and allow the coyotes to become comfortable coming to the bait stands..and obviously stay out as much as possible to keep human scent to minimal..but yea I'd take advantage of that if you don't mind being extremely patient but I hear it can be very rewarding and it be pretty cool killing some yotes while they are feeding

You should put your electronic call on a rc car so you don’t have to walk in the middle of a field to put it out

Does the silencer make a lot of difference?

Biggest difference is on our ears. Makes a rifle so much more pleasant to shoot.

@@FOXPROINC I understand, last time I shot my 243 I used my apple ear buds, they really make a difference. I just thought the silencer would keep the coyote from hightailing after that first shot. So if not much affect on the coyote i think I might just stay with ear buds for awhile,much cheaper. Keep up the good work and thanks.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve killed doubles and triples 30-45 minutes into the stand
