USA wins comfortably as Femke Bol couldn't pull off another magic steal. USA's Kendall Ellis finished the race with a comfortable lead while Ireland pulled the surprise of the race finishing in a close third.
Kendall Ellis has ran some historic anchor legs when she in college, and running the NCAA championships. Here, she had huge lead and smartly save her strength for the straight, in case there was going to be a battle. She moved away with ease, great anchor leg running by this experienced relay runner !
She’s another product of USA and crack me up I’m wrong Georgia coach that big Cheryl and she also coached Matthew bowling she coached TT Terry I think she’s gonna get Georgia national championship sooner or later
Product of USC and correct me if I am wrong
@@user-lp1jw9bo5y In an ironic twist, going into that 2018 4x400 that USC and Kendall Ellis won in the NCAA's, Georgia was leading in points. With the 1st place win, USC edged Georgia out by 1 point for the Natty.
She had a 30 - 35 meter headstart over Femke Bol who had to spend a ton of energy to go from 4th to 2nd.
@@pierrojules ..but Bol didn't stride away from Ireland either tbh..USA depth brought in a 3rd leg who hadn't run at all and it was he who opened the lead like a can of tuna..the anchor leg pursuers spent tons of energy catching Kendall Ellis but left none for the stretch. Give Ellis credit for proper pacing. But what's happened to the Dutch cheerful celebration for coming in 2nd? They used to jump up and down for joy..now look at them..kinda gloomy. Strange.
Too much pressure always left on Femke , she's always left with too much gap to make up. She's human , big up Femke you're the best. ❤
I said it elsewhere, in the 4x400m Women's and Mixed the Netherlands is so dependent on Femke winning it for them, pulling the chestnuts out of the fire for them. Without her they would be nowhere. In this race they left her with 1.5 secs to catch up on a world class athlete, she virtually sprinted the first 200m to get past Ireland and had just enough left to keep Ireland out in the end
@@forwardpass2725thats Not fair, sehe got the staff with slight disadvantage to 2-3 and struggeld to Take second. Not her best Race. Normally i would agree, but Ned dont Had the Males for 400m 🤷🏼♂️
bulls shiit no woman is running down Kendall Ellis. Femke can't do our C league team. B league is a different story
Or.... the other teams are just faster.
Oh yes I always say that. They keep thinking she is super human. She has no one on her teamwho is even trying to keep up with her.But kudos to her no matter her position one always has to admire her.Congrats Femke and team Nederlands.
Well done Ireland. What a super bronze and so nearly a silver. Keep improving and anything is possible later in the season 🇮🇪
Without Adaleaky they are one person away from the podium at the Olympics,,If they have a mask you bowling type guy they would get a medal at the Olympics with that team

The final runner for Ireland also held her form against Bol in the final 50meters. Great job
She lost her lead to Bol. Wtf are you about. Do you just go around spewing lost hope and optimistism?
Congrats USA! True champions!💯❤️🔥
This time the last leg held up for us
Exactly Yes Yes 💙💙💙
The anchor leg played it smart. No reason to sprint out like the rest of the pack were to catch up.
That’s what a Team race is about - the Team coach has to know who , and where ( in sequence) you strategically place each runner in the Team !
Bravo Ireland 💪
Kendall Ellis - you are a superstar , as the rest of the team , and …the brilliant selection of the US team by the US Team coach !
Congrats! 4x400 mixed relay, well done! Matthew, Kendall, and the team!
I think that same team can committal at the Olympics
is this Dafne Schippers co-commentating? good to hear her doing this stuff still even though she stopped professionally herself
USA last leg paced it perfectly. She Left enough in the tank to kick in the last 100m Fem wouldn’t of caught her regardless. ❤
HAHAHAHS, Boll's split was almost a second FASTER
@@JakeLayman-md4fw her split was faster because she was behind, she had to try and catch-up and didn’t leave enough in her tank to kick in the last 100m. The US Sprinter paced it perfectly. Key word is paced. She left enough in her tank to kick in the last 100m and that’s why BOL couldn’t close the big gap the US runner created because she didn’t have anything left in her tank. Run along now.
Omg Ireland were absolutely amazing 😮
We got that had a leaky and she’s going to Madeline’s one day
Adeleke was amazing she ran so well
USA won the race in the first leg. The Netherlands lost 1.6 seconds there and most of the other contenders 1.8/1.9 seconds. Ireland took back a chunk with Adeleke in the second leg and Bol tried to close the gap in last leg, but the USA was just too far in front. It seems to me that without better times for the male athletes, it's going to be very hard for the other teams to compete for gold at the Olympics.
True Boling won it for USA in first leg very good run. Tacktick ancor runner US was good but Femke can normally run faster to sub49s split. She look bit tired. All Dutch team bit off. Back to the drawing board still enough time to improve for Paris.
@@QuamfyMarc If we put our top 4 like everyone else, we win by 50m instead of 5. It's nowhere close.
@@efisgpr Sure, if the USA actually put their best runners in the mixed 4x400m they would probably be unbeatable in Paris ... But the USA will never have that team because a lot of their best runners either can't or won't run for the mixed 4x400m team ...
Wow Ireland, WOW 💚 Also Nigeria has a new record

Femke Bol is always a marvel to watch in that Nederland Athletic Association. I'm saddened by the fact that she's always on the receiving end as far as pressure to win is wholly left for her as her solo responsibility from time to time. In this race, it's beginning to show that fatigue is catching up & taking its toll up her. She needs rest & not only that, she needs to have dedicated & committed athletes like her in order for them to share the same pressure as she normally does.
Femke Bol is not under any pressure---it is people like you that believe she is the top 400m and 400mh runner in the world.🤣🤣
@@kobbieafriyie2172 Hey the little Bol - hating TROLL is back!
Remember this note: the American college & high school seasons are not finished and some of the pro's are not competing. some much talent to select from...
True. This comp was about qualifying for the Olympics, nothing more. USA did what they wanted to do, qualify in all five events
It doesn’t matter unless I heard you must have qualifying marks from irregardless if you start the season late or not I heard if you were a world champion you automatically qualify to defend your title but I did like this race
Great final lap
Adeleke damn you ran amazing 😊
Lieke Klaver really ran a poor second leg, putting pressure on her teammates. Amazing run by Sharlene Mawdsley for Ireland in the final leg
A split time of 49.80 isn’t really a poor second leg.
@@erikrichpoor1042 You're right. Probably just my perception watching the race as it looked like she was losing ground
Yes. Klaver is one of the very best in the world and consistently excellent. But not here. She was flat. She put Bol in a bad situation. Kendall Lewis was able to conserve her strength until top of the last straightaway while Bol had to make up a huge amount of ground just to get near her. Lewis is extraordinary in her own right and if you give her that kind of cushion no one has a chance.
@@berndtherrenvolk1951 Erik isn't wrong. Netherlands lost about 1.5 secs on the first leg and it stayed like that until Bol took over. However, Klaver went from second to third, more due to a good leg by Ireland. It's perception I suppose, until one look at the times
She wasnt flat she got smoked by a 48.45 split from the irish girl @berndtherrenvolk1951
Nigeria could medal in the Olympics with the return of omolara as anchor leg
We really need omolara badly for the anchor leg
What about favor of Philly or are they going to keep her on the floor by 100?
To give credit where due, these 4 weren’t bad, they ran strongly to finish 4th and a new African record in the process. Even with omolara, Nigeria would still have finished fourth
adeleke ! dang !
She’s the new bomb
She ran amazing so proud ❤
Anybody know the split times for USA runners? Congratz to them this was a great win.
Seeing as how this is a mixed race split times are taboo
To me Fenke to her team is as iconic as Marita Koch or Jarmilla Kratochvilova or Alison Felix were to their teams, you can always count on them!
10 Women who broke 50.0 in 400 on relay split during the World Relays 4x4 Adelke did it 3 times and had the fastest split of 48.45, Also; 4th fastest 49.48, and 49.64. Paulino did it 2 times and had 2nd fastest split 48.93.Also 49.98 Kaczmarek did it 2 times and had 3rd fastest split 49.46. Nice to see Miller-Uibo back at tied for 5th with Bol at 49.54. I honestly thought Bol would break 49. Gabby Thomas was a nice surprise running 49.58 as a 100/200/4x100 specialist. Gonna be a great summer.
Actually she did. Bol had to pass several people around the outside on both bends. That adds 7 to 8 meters of distance which at these speeds is equal to about 1 second. If you keep that in mind Bol did actually run a 48.5 anchor leg in the final.
She dug in deep!!!!!!!
She heard from Kidde bol in the back
THANKS USA ......UNBEATABLE
It is rumored that team Netherlands and Empty bowl are determined to Not have a repeat of last year’s world championships at the Olympics
@@user-lp1jw9bo5y 😂 Please ....this wasn't even our top squad. It will not be close at all. The US has far and away the most 400m talent....always has. Even has more 4x400 gold at worlds than the rest of the world COMBINED. Bol will be well back...just like she is every time she races Sydney. 🥇
Adeleke Smoked Klaver! Ellis saved the last kick for the right time. USA is in Shape I see
Adeleke ran three splits under 50s, two in the Mixed 4x400m and one in the Women's 4x400m. Great consistency
Ellis did well, but Bol was more than a second faster than Ellis, while passing several people around the outside.

Adeleke run the time (48sec) Bol would had to run also. Very sad for Femke. Adeleke will win Gold in Paris!
Ridiculous comment, you can't compare a running start, with what would happened in a individual race. Secondly it's earlier season, Adeleke is running very well, lets hope she hasn't peaked too early. They didn't even compete on the same leg. Adeleke run fabulous here (at this meet), lets hope it continues throughout the season. Femke Bol is not running the 400 meters in Paris, Kalver is. Bol is running in the 400 m hurdles. Adeleke with have her hands full with Paulino, Miller-Uibo and Mc Laughlin-Lavrone
@@mickdenis6630 Sydney not running 400mh in Paris?
Agree..Adaleke on her peak now..she can smoke Bol anytime,if she turn on 400 m, do not ever count out Nasser, paulino, and Miller uibo .other way McLaughlin just run crazy speed at her 1st hurdling race since 2022 this week,12.72 last time she run 12.69. the world record gone.. so 400 M hurdling at Paris is about her and time. Not Bol.
As you can see world leading time 3:10.73
@@QuamfyMarc Sydney has turned her focus to other events. She stated this last year, she would be focusing on the flat 400 m. She has the Olympic Gold, Word Title and World Record in the 4 hurdles. So unless she changes her mind, which I think is doubtful, she is not running the 400 meter hurdles.
Ain't no way is Femke performing any magic with Kindalll Ellis. Ellis herself is a magician, and she knows how to run down or maintain a lead over another magician.
True. Making up a 1.5 sec gap against a top runner is too much to ask
Also Femke had to pass several people around the outside in the corners, that adds about 7 to 8 meters (or one second) and also takes a lot of energy. Femke's PB is 1 to 1.5 seconds better than Ellis's
Kendall Ellis is about the same power as Alexis Holmes, Bol is 1 to 1.5 seconds faster than both of them. Bol effortlessly Destroyed Holmes 4x in a row in Glasgow. But here she started nearly 2 seconds behind Ellis + she had to overtake several people around the outside on both bends. (= 1 second extra) that is to much even for Bol

Kendall Ellis was very lucky that Bol started 2 seconds behind her and also had to overtake several other runners around the outside in both turns, which add 7 to 8 meters (= 1 second) to the difference, of this 3 seconds in total actually close the gap to 1 second, but of course 3 seconds is to much to bridge. Bol did run an anchor leg of 49.5 which with the extra distance is equivalent to a real 48.5.
But she also lost with almost 2 seconds behind her! 😂

USA's lead off runner gave them a big lead to start with. Klaver looked slow and Bol had far too much ground to make up as well as having to deal with the Irish lady not giving in...
Yep, Bol had to go round the outside on 2 corners, which adds 7 to 8 meters distance (= around 1 second) + making up for 2 seconds at the start of her leg = making up 3 seconds in total. That is to much.. Even for Bol.

It was undoable this time, cause Femke was too close in the first corner to the other contestants. Which would force her already to go around/wide in the corner to pass them. If you have to go wide in two corners you make way too much extra meters, but when you stay behind you are held up by the slower runners. The third one come over the line benefited so much from the draft from the runner before her that she could stay next to Femke. But her walking next to Femke influenced the airflow negatively for Femke.
True but Femke looks bit tired in the end. In heats day before she was jogging and now full running in almost same time. Says a lot!

Very poor performances of Lieke and Femke by their own standart of cource. See the reaction of both at the end. They were far better in Feb indoors.
BS. I hand clocked Femke's anchor leg. (3 times, to take average) it came to 49.5. That may seem a little below Femke's standard, BUT Femke had to pass several people around the outside in both the first and especially the 2nd corner (she basically ran most of the lap in the second lane). That will easily be 7 or 8 meters extra distance for. And the average speed on a 400 is about 8.5 m/s. In other words, 7 to 8 meters add a full second to her time. Conclusion Femke actually ran a 48.5 (!) anchor leg. Now how come that people are Hosana! when Paulino runs a 84.5, but when Femke does basically the same it is "duh, poor performance"??? No. They call themselves the best! 💯
The silly strategy of the USA's anchor will not always work. She is lucky that the Netherlands' athletes screwed up the first three legs. Otherwise, Femke Bol would have won the final leg and the race or her country.
Wasn't silly at all...she was the only runner who had a kick for the final 100. The other runners expended their energy earlier trying to get closer.
That's part of the advantage of having a big lead. Even what seems a risky strategy makes sense when the lead that big
@@FourSeasons04 Her tactic is silly because each time, she loses the headstart she is given by her teammates. That is good for her only when the other teams do poorly.
