A family went for a "vacation in Africa" and some of the younger members thought the same thing. They broke all of the glass water bottles when the rhinoceros put their vehicle upside down so they had no water to drink!

Glass recycling is barely used, despite the fact that glass can be recycled an infinite number of times. The main reason for this is that there's very little return on investment. Another reason why companies prefer plastic over glass containers is that glass is more likely to shatter, creating sharp edges. Glass is also heavier than plastic, thus it requires more energy to transport the same amount of product. Basically it would require lots of changes to switch to glass, including the properties of glass to make it a more viable option.

Unfortunately, hydrogen aviation ignores a very important, and devastating fact. Yes, hydrogen has a bit less than 3 times the energy per weight unit compared to jet fuel... but jet fuel has 3 times the energy of liquid hydrogen per volume. Add in that jet fuel can be used in unpressurized, uncooled, only puncture resistant tanks, compared to the cryogenic tanks for liquid hydrogen... If one includes the tank into the equation, jet fuel has seven times the energy density per weight unit compared to hydrogen.
They did say liquid hydrogen. But of course the 3 times energy efficiency probably doesn't reflect the 50% loss due to venting of evaporating hydrogen to prevent over pressurization.

I've been interested in inflatable tents / shelters for a long time. They can be incredibly sturdy and durable - but massively heavy. Even a modest 2 person tent can weigh over 80kg.
I love the mind controlled scooter. However, the fact that the driver must close his eyes to focus might impair safe operation of the device....

@@johnbeckham1672 the goal is to use less fossil energy so, ok it needs a lot of fossil energy to be build but, after being built it's mean to recycle waste and produce solar energy (it's way more efficient than driving an electric car wich needs tons of fossil fuel to be produce and to be recharge) it's called grey energy : you need to use fossil energy to stop using fossil energy, it's like quitting smoking: you still need nicotine before stopping being dependent

Attention. 3D TV or monitor without glasses already existed and because everyone has a different dominant eye, or a different eye base, it was not pleasant for some people to watch the image. Absolutely disadvantageous for the designer's work. Maybe good for a layman who only plays, not creates. In addition, 3D went bankrupt because the manufacturers could not agree - out of vanity, everyone wanted to push their own system.
Hydrogen is not three times more energy "efficient", it's three times more energy dense.

The guy standing on the winch anchor, in direct line of the cable would be in big trouble should that line snap... not a good demonstration.
The aircraft tug I don't think anything was said about price but if the military could use this concept, not only could they get rid of the very large tugs with GAS ENGINES but they could also get rid of towbars. Towbars are simple and don't require alot of maintenance but it would save alot of space especially on aircraft carriers.
