    • Cause even though borsch is definitely Ukrainian, for historical reasons it's widely popular in Russia and Belarus as well. So for people not knowing specifics of the region, it might be a bit indirect clue. Like, the same way Belarus is famous for its potato production and amount of potato-based dishes, but Ukraine and Russia are into potatoes as well.

  • I immediately recognised Ukrainian girl, by few typical features. She is extremely beautiful, but shy and quiet. She is very skinny, like most Ukrainian girls. And she is very stylish, Ukrainian girls usually wear blazers/suits, always care about their look. ☺

    • ​@Annie Smith, the history of Russia and Ukraine is so strongly intertwined that talking about the expropriation of dishes, sorry, is stupid. They may argue about whose territory the dish was originally invented on, but both Ukrainians and Russians have a very similar daily menu (with some exceptions), some dishes in which were originally invented in Russia, Europe, Caucasus, China, Japan and other countries. And that's fucking normal. I'm sure this is true about your country as well.

  • As a Swede I got a bit confused by the Swedish girl’s chocolate comment. I assume she is referring to Marabou chocolate. It’s not widely famous outside of Sweden and can in no way be compared to the exclusive, quality chocolates associated with Belgium and Switzerland. 🤷🏼‍♀️ A clue about furniture, meatballs or vikings would have made more sense for Sweden. :D

  • Wow, they did suprisingly well! Teamwork = Dreamwork I'm just happy I got the Belgium one as a Dutch guy. The moment she spoke a full sentence (can't find the timestamp) to the camera, she reminded me exactly of those Dutch/Flemish students you see speaking English on promotion videos of Dutch/Flemish universities.

  • It was easy for me (I am from Lithuania) to guess Ukrainian girl, it is in behaviour, body language and way how reservedly person speaks/behaves, facial expressions - it seems common for Eastern Europe. Also, Latvian girl seemed so nice and laid-back, I loved her warmness. For me she seemed more Finnish than Latvian ;D p.s. - Swedish girl seemed so sweet and warm person, around her would be nice to be, she seems very open. Just sometimes you can see how she feels a bit overwhelmed by direct comments from others during guessing about her, esp when everyone said that nobody knows Swedish chocolate there, if I would be there, I could try to stop that when you see that it is too much one sided responses for person, would try to turn responses in more calm way to her :). Anyway, very interesting cast and video !

I mean, the product from industrial bakeries is not necessarily bad, some are actually real good.   • I'm from Ukraine and this video made me cry because it hurts me that foreigners think that Russian is almost the state language in Ukraine and is spoken by the majority, and somewhere out there, local people speak Ukrainian. No, this is not the case and will never be the case, even though Russia is trying to impose its own language on us, has always forced it, and continues to do so in public. That borsch is a Russian dish, oh my God, it almost killed me, but there are more words than language. It is very important for all true Ukrainians that we are distinguished and not compared to Russians. It hurts me personally. My house in eastern Ukraine was destroyed, the occupiers lived there for a long time and recently left, taking everything with them. It's absurd that in 2023 someone else can drive you out of your home with a gun, seize your house and live in it, leave it in ruins and take everything you've bought over the years. What kind of forgiveness can we talk about here... I will hate their entire nation for the rest of my life.

  • So nice... The last girl made me think of Luxemburg in the last second, but I had "forgotten" that Belgium hadn't been determined. The nice Swedish girl was quite tricky to localize because the two "chocolate countries" are Belgium and Switzerland indeed (with France and Germany following).

    • I would say the Swedish girl have a strong Swedish accent, although people might have hard to place that, people that are not native english speakers would usually guess me on UK... Chocolate have a special history in Norway & Sweden too, Marabou was set as a sister company to Freia (founded 1889) that had a popular chocolate in Norway.

Luxembourg in its entirety was always part of the Belgian states throughout history and just like the rest of the Belgians are a mix of Belgae, Frankish and celtic peoples. This is together with dutch people from North Brabant/Limburg and French people from Nord-pas de Calais Anymore north or south you'll find different ethnicities/ genetic makeup

So it could be Finland as well I guess. So: Estonia, Latvia or Finland. 4. Leaning towards Ukraine. 5. Switzerland? 6. Since when does Sweden have good Chocolate?
