I went to the hair salon on August 12, 2021 and FINALLY cut my hair and donated it! We cut off a total of about 14-16 inches and I was able to donate 12 inches. I feel so good~!
My stylist allowed me to cut off the front two braids of my hair and it was my favorite part. The salon took care of everything regarding the hair donation (signed me up, provided my info on wigs for kids website, and sent the hair in for me).

thank you! I love the way it looks too :D my hair has grown out so fast now since I got it cut back in August...it's to my shoulders now, but back when it was just cut, the breeze on my neck was quite a different feeling!

@@lovesport4123 I want to keep it short, so not longer than past my shoulder blades. Having short hair definitely saves water and time when it comes to washing my hair!

@@lovesport4123 yes to both questions. I definitely spend more time styling my hair now then I did before when my hair was long. I never even used to brush my hair at all or even blow dry it after washing it so that I could minimize the amount of heat I was using on the hair to keep it as healthy as I could for donation. Now, I use a blow dryer right after I wash my hair to dry it and it's super quick. Sometimes I style my hair with a hair straightener to either straighten or curl the hair. There are so many different styles to try :)
