Worked in the wards during that period. Worst thing I had to do was turn away grefing family members. Still haunts me today, cannot forgive those politicians who broke the rules.
I can imagine how you feel, my dad died literally days just before lockdown in a Hospice, if I hadn't been allowed in to hold his hand and share those last moments I'm not sure what I would have done, I feel rage at the mere thought of not being allowed in. Then my brother died of poisoning 6 months later and I couldn't be at the bedside for him. I had to say my goodbyes over a mobile phone that my sister held to his ear, I don't know if her heard or not but we still want to be 'there' whatever state they are in. I hope you recover from the trauma, it wasn't your fault.
