I only have one Hot Toys Luke and it’s Snowspeeder Luke. Love that whole Hoth scene with the AT-ATs and just having Luke suited up in his pilot gear is the best.
My fave Luke does tend to vary week to week but overall this one is often my favourite look. I agree the pilot gear is just awesome!! And the set itself is great with all the different display options and accessories. Thanks for checking out the video 🙌🏻
U can really see how much Hot Toys have come along with their releases by just looking at their sculpt . Everyone was amazed with the sculpt of the DX07 when released but comparing to the new DX25, night and day. Now we also get better bodies and joint systems albeit price has changed drastically. Amazing character and u can't have too many of him, each tells a different story in his character development . Don't really like how his story arc ends but he has given us more than 4 decades of joy , The deluxe ROTJ is still number of me mainly bcoz how I loved ROTJ and the snow speeder a close 2nd . I just got the Mando Luke last week, and it is fantastic. I have the old Return of the Jedi Luke looking like he did in the final Death Star duel. I just ordered the Snowspeeder Luke today. Mando and Snowspeeder are the two best to me. The new Bespin one is great too.
The face sculpt isn't the best with some of the earlier figures admittedly but overall I think Hot Toys do fantastic Luke figures! I agree Mando and Snowspeeder are great versions of the character! Thanks for checking out the video! 🙌🏻
Mandalorian Luke is definitely my favourite one but a close second, and maybe a controversial choice is the Crait Luke. I really really liked that outfit.

MMS390 & MMS458 are arguably the best portrait designs of an older Mark Hamill. They’re literally bang on and it’s not up for debate. 😄 MMS507 was going to be my one and done Luke until The Mandalorian. That version of him in the comics is younger, but he was a beast! Definitely needed that one. I just don’t care for the portrait design. Awesome video man and congrats on collecting them all! 🍻
Yeah I think those older character Lukes look amazing!! They seem to have their critics but personally I think they’re fantastic. Tbh I thought Endor Luke was gonna be my last Luke (in movie timeline order). But then had to pick up the sequel ones and the newer ones seem to just be getting better and better! DX07 Bespin Luke was the very first Luke figure. When you look at that head sculpt, compared to the recent release...... Incredible

Top vid, mate. I can't argue with your choice of Snowspeeder Luke being the best! Superb figure. I'll probably only be getting one Luke and the one I wanted was the Return of The Jedi (8:10) version. I was umming and aahing whether to get it as I'd seen a lot of crap pictures of him look extremely doll-like and seen people calling him 'Salamander Luke' because of the pronounced upper lip, but I pulled the trigger and received him today.. and am I glad I did! I'm dead happy with it! I think it looks absolute quality in person!

(In a good way, obvs!) 😅 I really don't get the salamander thing now as I think the headsculpt is *proper* good, and the tailoring is quality! Actually, out of the eight figures I've currently got, this is the first one with an actual sculpted likeness, (all the others are helmeted!), and yeah.. Well impressed, mate! 👌

My favorite Luke is the Endor Luke as he comes with the green poncho and the forest stand.
Yeah the diorama pieces on the forest stand are cool. Personally I’m not overly keen on the expression but I still love the figure!! 😀👍🏻
Wow! Quite a reminder if how many Luke's have been released. Have 4 of the original trilogy Luke's on my shelves, be ordering Bespin version pretty soon. I remember the disappointment many collectors had at the time when Farm Boy Luke was released, with him being quite different from the prototype pics, still glad I've got him though. My favourite is also Hoth Speeder Luke, but i think Bespin version will take his place when he arrives. Great video as always 👍

Awesome video! Luke is in my top 5 favorite Star Wars characters so it was awesome to see a collection of the hot toys all together. My farm boy Luke still really holds a special place in my heart as it’s where Star Wars all began. I do love my Mando Luke tho. However, the DX25 I think when I get it in hand will very likely be my favorite. Just seems perfect all around. Hoping maybe one day they will make a DX farm boy Luke as well. 🤞🏻

TK421, as always you've given us an stunner of a video. Love it! I think if I could only have one Luke (for me it'll come down to 2) it'll be the Mando Luke and the Snowspeeder Luke. Luke in his Jedi gear is a must have for me and his updated Jedi outfit from The Mandolorian was just so cool. It was more Jedi inspired but he kept that black colorway. Now the reason the Snowspeeder is a must have for me is being a pilot is such a big part of Luke as a character. And the fact that Hot Toys did such an amazing job on the flight suit makes it even more of a must have. Now as for the sequel figures, I LOVE Crait Luke. For me it's the definitive 'older' Luke to have. My biggest issue is not having his green saber. I understand he didn't have it in the movie but I still think it would have been so cool to include it. I actually went online and purchased his green saber to display with this figure. I didn't have a spare one so I had to go the aftermarket route. In the end I think it was worth it because the green saber completes this figure in my opinion.

Yes 🙌🏻 I think you articulated that better than I did regarding how a big/important part of Luke’s character and story is him being a pilot first and foremost, from T-16 to X-Wing!! What a superb collection within a collection! Really blown away by the evolution of these figures from oldest release to newest the upgrade is quite remarkable. Great minds think alike x wing pilot Luke is iconic for me the orange flight suit and helmet are so well detailed and it is so so stunning on the shelf, after this my next favourite would be Mando Luke which I really like as well just a wee bit down from my number one. Thanks for taking the time to do this I wonder if you have any other full sets of the OG characters? I wonder who has the most iterations after Luke ? Perhaps Leia? Not really sure thinking of them as best I can in my minds eye…. I did get a touch of new figure hype and thought Bespin Luke was my favourite at one point. But going thru them all it just had to be Snowspeeder/X-wing pilot! And you said the perfect word to describe the figure too: “ICONIC”! Couldn’t agree more! I think Luke’s are probably the most produced figure by Hot Toys after Troopers (and maybe now Clones)! Blimey, I didn't realise there were so many luke's! I think you have chosen wisely on the Snowspeeder variant, I would plump for that one too, although, I must admit I would thought an X-Wing variation would have been a better choice for them to go for? Perhaps they have teamed up with Jazz Inc on their huge Snowspeeder , but then again you'd need another one with a head for Dack!

Great video and narrative as always. Got all OT Luke’s (except latest Bespin), least favourite is the Endor ‘teeth’ release (freaks me out if I’m honest). Haven’t got the latest Bespin Luke, too clean (he had been to Dagobah)! Accuracy wise the Snowspeeder for me is clearly the best however, if I had to pick a favourite it would be ‘Stormtrooper Disguise Luke’, love it. Until Hoth, Tauntaun Luke comes out that is! 👍🏻👍🏻

Amazing Luke collection mate. I'd find it really hard to choose a favourite. I got Snowspeeder Luke the other day. Amazing figure, love him. Also getting Bespin Luke soon. Looks amazing but yeah, the super clean outfit is a bit of a turn off. Still looking forward to getting him though. I'd love to get the ANH Lukes but they seem quite rare and they're so expensive. ROTJ is not too exciting design wise but his Jedi Knight look is so iconic and important.

Great video, My Friend! It’s hard not to love all of the Lukes we got from the guys at Hot Toys because each has its own special place in the saga and in our hearts! As for the sequels, I actually enjoy TFA quite a bit! Star Wars was BACK! And JJ gave us a pretty thrilling opening act! Harrison Ford and Peter Mawhew back as Han and Chewie was AMAZING! Not to mention Carrie as our Princess! 💕💔. But. Can never forgive what Ruin Johnson did to Luke in TLJ. Your video here was all about Luke, because Luke = Star Wars for so many of us…. Not sure who that was in TLJ, but it was NOT Luke Skywalker (although it was a phenomenal performance by Mark Hamill despite the unfortunate writing choices - and even Mark agrees with my opinion on those choices). Despite it all, I managed to get enough pleasure out of the sequel trilogy not to declare them a complete loss, but what a lost opportunity overall. As for the figures, as I said each has its own special place for many reasons. I myself am still praying for a Farmboy Luke reissue benefiting from all the improvements Hot Toys has made over the years on just about every aspect of figure design, but especially with a new home run of a head sculpt! If that happened, I’m sure that would be my number one forever because I’m an OT loyalist first and foremost! I completely understand why just about everyone is considering the new DX25 Luke to be superior to original Bespin Luke, and I won’t ague the point at all because the improvements and upgrades are pretty obvious. But there’s just something about DX07 that stands alone. Not necessarily better, but distinct and pleasing in my view. There is an intensity about DX07 that plays very well in my opinion. This is a Luke that just defied both his mentor Ben Kenobi and Yoda himself to defend and rescue his friends at any cost. DX07 embodies this for me. So with all the other Lukes that are available now (of which I have almost all of them) I’m not 100% convinced that I need a new Bespin Luke. But of those released so far, I’d have to go with a bit of a cop out, LOL! For me, the best of the best is the new Mando Luke with the new incredible head sculpt and awsome black Jedi robes and cloak WITH the original ROTJ hairpiece, or the Deluxe ROTJ windswept hairpiece! That I my definitive Luke! All the awesome improvements associated with Mando Luke, and with the switched out hairstyle to remove most of the Deepfake look. Just my opinion 😇.

I mean I’ll always be 100% OT fan through and through but I can watch and enjoy all the sequels. I can definitely see why Luke’s story arc in particular comes in for a lot of criticism but I like to think of his story as a parallel to Obi-Wan’s. They’ve both hidden themselves away and shut themselves off from the force. And they both end up sacrificing themselves to allow the rebels/resistance to escape. I just like the symmetry there tbh. I totally agree would LOVE to see a Farmboy Luke 2.0. I also want a yellow coat celebration Luke!! 😀 Loved reading what the DX07 means to you! It will always hold a special place in my collection too whatever happens. I’d never split the set but I particularly like the battle damaged version! I’ve heard a few collectors now opting for the Mando Luke with the RotJ hair as the ultimate Luke and I can definitely see why! It looks amazing doesn’t it!! My favorite is the Endor Luke. Accept that I bought an extra Mando Sculpt. Perfect Luke. Or my favorite.
Honestly great choice! Not a massive fan of the teeth/expression on the version I have but a Mando sculpt with RotJ hair is spot on 👌🏻
@@TK421Collectibles I bought an extra endor Jedi suit. Took fat suit off the mms429. Replaced with endor black outfit. The new Bespin looks like they made same mistake with a fat suit. Looks puffy. I like my dx07. How ever still getting dx25
I think I must agree figure wise the Snowspeeder Luke is the best looking so far. Second up is Jedi Luke since it was my first Hot Toys and how I enjoyed him most as a child in the original trilogy. I would love to own the Endor too one day.. but need to get the Leia Endor set too by then. I also like the old Luke figures but need to be selective because of costs Great Luke collection btw
I think the original trilogy Luke’s will always be my favourite. Jedi Luke is awesome! 🙌🏻 Hope you get to pick up the Endor figures at some point, they are superb 👍🏻
You've missed out on one other Hot Toys Luke, the that came with ROTS Obi Wan! ROTJ is the one I'd choose if I could only have one. That figure should have been a DX with two headsculpts and the Endor poncho/helmet included.
HAHA very nearly put that Luke in the vid 😅 But my rationale for not including it was it’s more of an accessory than a figure (definitely not cos I just CBA getting it out of storage! 😅)
Im not an expert on luke, but was looking for luke in the orange outfit to represent him at the end of a new hope. Whats the difference with this suit to the one in a new hope?
At first glance not much difference but there are lots of differences between the X-Wing flight suit from ANH compared to ESB. The boots, gloves, belt with blaster and lightsaber e.g. different accessories and weapons etc. But I mean you could put the figure in with the ANH display and it wouldn't look massively wrong (in my opinion anyway) 👊🏻
Great video dude! I totally agree, the snow speeder pilot is my favourite. You said that if you were to get just one luke that might be a good option, I only wanted one and chose the snow speeder pilot,. It's amazing how far the head sculpts have come from where they began. I have to say, as much as I love the mando version it just looks like a dude with luke's face deepfaked onto it, which is very odd in a figure. It makes me wonder if this is the first figure sculpt to be made based on a deepfake. Thanks for the video!

@@TK421Collectibles I think it's the clothing, there's something that is just so realistic about the material and weathering on the suit. You got me thinking about a custom figure I made. I got a really old luke from sideshow with the sideshow jaba the hutt. I put a new body, new head and a cloak I bought on it and it's a really interesting build. The idea was to make the luke from Mando but with the movie luke face. I will send you pictures in a min via email.
Dx07 is probably still my favorite. The headsculpt is outdated, but it includes so much stuff. And the outfit is more accurate to the movie itself rather than the pristine one from the marketing photoshoots.

Before I got Snowspeeder Luke, I was convinced that the DX-7 set was the best Luke...I can't wait to get the scenery of the AT-AT's belly 3D-printed, so he can be hanging from below it!

Great idea! Will probably do one at some point! It’s a bit confusing with Vader tbh cos they released the ANH Vader then a 2.0 version with Tarkin as a two pack I think. Then an ESB Vader which they then reissued a few years later for the 40th Anniversary. And there’s a Rogue One version, AND there’s a 1/4 RotJ Vader! And now there a 1/6 RotJ Vader coming out and a Vader from the Kenobi series 😅

I have the mando Luke and stormtrooper luke. Purchased specifically because I think these headsculpts were the best by HT. I really dislike how HT used the same headsculpt for mando and Bespin Luke. Given that Mando Luke was CGI and Bespin clearly was Mark Hamill I don’t see how they get off trying to use the same head. Seems lazy. I honestly feel like the ROTJ Luke from a few years ago is a closer match to Hamill than the Current Bespin Luke.
Hot Toys tricked me, I thought they were slightly different at first. But yeah same just different hair! I think you’re right the Jedi and Endor (non-grimacing sculpt) are a very close likeness.
You got to love a Luke ,I'm trying to hunt down a farm boy ,I got the new one due here Friday 🫰.... and I agree I love my snow speeder one ,and good to see Chris you finally worked out how to put his helmet on 😆..... Great video as always ... love to see more of these maybe a liea or han ?

I think the Farmboy & Luke Storm are horrible. Both look like they have pink eye for starters.Luke JedI & snowspeeder are my best.

Mine has to be the Mandalorian Luke. It's the only one I'd probably get. Great timing on this video, another collector was asking me about Lukes head sculpt and your video popped up. So just linked to him lol. Great video as always Chris.
