  • One thing I find in the software of different pixels is even if the same features are provided in different models, execution is different. Magic eraser in a series is not as good in pro series.

  • There is a quick way to launch google lens almost everywhere including when watching videos. Swipe from the buttom corners to call out google assistant and there will be a "search screen" button. It can do a lot of things that circle to search does

  • u don't have to be on January 2024 for the Google play services, I'm still at the November version and got it. the January update. I can't get the January update and my last info was it went on hold due the same write/read permission bug that appeared not long ago. otherwise it's insane how fast and good circle to search is now. like I circled a screenshot from a recent Netflix series and found instantly what series it was and the actor. (though its more user based for the most part to find similar pictures) technically it's an updated version of lens but it feels like it is to find the specific objects almost instantly

  • In KZhead videos, no screenshot is needed if you don't have Google's new "Circle (to square) To Search". swipe up > tap image > tap lens (also "add to your search" is right there) Or just use Google Assistant to search the screen with lens. The whole "you don't have to leave the app" is kinda funny. Once you pull up the new "circle to square to search" results, the app you're using gets covered. Now you need to swipe/pull back down to uncover your app. The Pixel lens method, you just swipe right with the navigation bar and you see your app again. So, altogether we save maybe one tap with the new "circle to square to search the same search results we've been searching with lens". 😂😂

  • One thing I notice on my pixel 8 pro is that sometimes the feature is unresponsive for a good 10secs or so and so I move on with my life and then finally it decides to do its thing and brings me back to where I initiated the search

  • Hi emad, Just a heads up. If you have lately started facing glitchy recent screen after making this video on pixel phones, you should know that this bug is triggered by switching the navigation gesture to buttons and vice versa and apparently doing it again fixes the problem. Maybe you need three four tries but that's how I fixed it. Since you switched the navigation system in this video too... I would like you to know that.😊

  • The feature does not depend on a recent Google Play System Update. I'm stuck on August 2023 on my new Pixel 8, cause the current Update is paused and i can use Circle to Search already.

  • You don't need any VPN apps to activate it, all You have to do just go to the Navigation mode settings and then turn off Hold handle to search and enable it again. 👍🏻

    • Doesn't work for everyone tried that several times. I'm on the QPR beta and Google app beta not sure if that is the reason why I don't have it as the VPN never worked either.

  • Would you recommend the Pixel over something like Vivo X100 Pro or Oneplus 12, even though it has a slower chip? S24 Ultra is way too much for me so that's out of the question.

    • Watch his stress test between the pixel 8 and iphone and Samsung. They both have more powerful chips technically but the pixel outperforms them both in some categories. It's a multitasking beast.

    • @@Ti.a409 I wouldn't be gaming all that much on it. Maybe some COD Mobile at the highest. Not a fan of Genshin and such. Maybe some emulation, although I'm planning to eventually get a handheld for that purpose. Camera and battery life are the highest priority.

    • @@ALph4cro Well, cal of duty is 60fps on maximum graphics and 70-80fps on medium graphics (battle royale), and in “network mode” there are 120fps on medium graphics and 60fps on maximum graphics

  • Why do everyone keep saying they have to take a screenshot inorder to search? In my pixel 6a if I swipe from the bottom edge, assistant gets activated and there is an option that asks 'search screen'. Tapping on that option lets you search images on your screen. Works just like circle to search. Its just that you cannot circle. But, you can make selection.

  • 5:25 - haptic feedback is not getting enough attention on Android. I feel like the latest Pixel devices are the best while Samsung is still way behind. Can you make a video about the subject? I think this requires some awareness....

  • Gotta love how nobody knows about the search screen function in Android that has been doing the exact same thing for ages. Are people really that dumb?! All Samsung had to do was slap a name on top of it to make people go "Whoa". It is equivalent of saying the same joke but louder.

    • Yah. Like Emad said it's really just Assistant Screen Search but with fancy animations. However, I have noticed with personal testing and from online discussions that Circle to Search is actually somehow worse. Instead of using the full Lens feature set, it instead uses a dumbed down version. No translate or work button, no auto select, not even smart recognition (barcodes and QR codes), and that's just some of the handicaps that I have come across myself. Who knows how many other features weren't ported over to this mass marketed rebrand of a feature.
