  • People whining about the sugar.. If your lifestyle does not allow you to have a treat every now or then, then simply adjust the recipe or look for another! He showed you what he thinks is a great brownie and that's all. He never forced anyone to eat it.

    • People are becoming jumpy on sugar because everyone is putting it everywhere. Ketchup and various sauces, juices, yoghurts, smoothies... Eating slice of brownie here is not a big deal, but overall thruout of the day, it ramps up. I would rather keep an eye on other things to avoid than to restrict myself from this brownie.

    • @@karldelavigne8134 I get your point, but making brownies once every few months doesn't turn your diet into an unhealthy one. It can still be balanced. Furthermore, a "healthy" lifestyle is not only about eating clean and consuming healthy nutrients that are good for your body (even thought that definitely IS important!), but also about sometimes giving yourself a treat that makes you happy because it makes your SOUL healthy. If you don't need that and are perfectly happy with always eating super healthy, nobody's forcing you to make these brownies or anything, but some people, including me, just need that sometimes.

  • There are tons of recipes out there that are easy, but the food comes out mediocre. There are tons that are insanely difficult, but the food comes out fantastic. Somehow Jamie makes recipes that are easy AND come out tasting fantastic. It's amazing. I'm going through the five ingredient book now and everything has been amazing. Make the "Quick Asian Fishcakes" and "Harissa Chicken Traybake" and you'll get so hooked you make everything in the book.

  • Just made this tonight and it worked! Although I had to halve the recipe cause the chocolate I had in my fridge was 113gm. This was my first ever brownie and I don't think I've ever baked anything by myself before. My family loved it, but one person preferred not to have that gooey center and put her piece in the oven for an extra 10 mins after it cooled down which actually made the top even crunchier and the middle chewy instead of gooey but it was still a nice kinda chewy and not cakey at all. Thanks for this! It was easy,minimal mess. I am so happy that my first brownie turned out tasting better than those box kinds.

I didn’t use the parchment paper either - just buttered the baking pan and sprinkled it with flour. Very simple recipe with a bombastic effect. All in all this is just like a giant chocolate fondant, but tastes amazing, the whole family loved it.

They are as brownies are supposed to be: they are deliciously crispy outside (even after hours of taking them out of the oven), gooey in the middle, and EXTREMELY CHOCOLATE-Y, I just can't help but love them. And the cost of this? -- an undeniably easy recipe that anyone who craves to make the perfectest brownies ever can do. This brownie even coaxed one of my friends to come over and have a bite or two (which ended up in him eating 1/4 of the whole thing). • I'm not sure on that; a square simply has more per portion (less squares vs triangles for the same serivng area), so you'd get more. As for the texture, all you're meant to see is the smooth, shiny surface of the chocolate ganache almost melting down the sides; remember a brownie is *not* a cake at all, it's more meant to resemble a square shapre dollop of ganache that's been slightly reinforced by the dough. From the school of Paul A Young

  • Hey Jamie. Thank you for the videos all these years man, you are the best in my opinion. What would be the difference if we use less butter than this?

    @519achilles@519achilles5 жыл бұрын
    • 519achilles with baking you really don’t want to change quantities.. but my guess is that if you added less butter, you would just get a drier, crumblier brownie. You wouldn’t get as much of a fudgy texture
