A visiting lecturer at the college of criminology who holds controversial theories on genetic predisposition toward criminal behavior is found hanged.
"whats a clue, but a mistake by any other name."
“Why are you just sitting there looking at me like dogs being shown a card trick “
OMG!! Andrew's house is hands down the most beautiful one I've ever seen. #inlove
It was used in a Midsomer Murders episode too. Just gotta figure out which one!
@@AmyRork if you do, please please let me know
I almost didn’t recognize David Soul! ♥️♥️🇺🇸
woww david soul
Brilliant episode full of whit and one liners.
Mulțumesc mult pentru acest interesant serial! ❤🎦🇬🇧 Vă urmăresc cu o deosebită plăcere și mult interes, din București-România. 🇹🇩
Oh, this is by FAR the best episode yet! The one-liners are terrific! Lewis: "We're the police." Edna:" "Don't worry, we trade with ANYONE...." Hahahaha!
😂😂
That'll be the Tooth Fairy APPALLED.
Waiting for Series. I am up to date. Thanks 😍
The house where the killer lived has been used in another mystery program. The program is Midsomer Murders, the episode is The Sicilian Defense.
Thanks so much for posting.
You are very welcome!
@@brittv6066 Thank you, from Belgium. 🤩 🤌
After watching all of these a few times now I decided to watch “Morse” I was a child of the late 90s/early 00s, so I never saw it as a kid. The first couple of episodes were hard to stick to but after a couple more it really starts to evolve into a great show! Now I’m rewatching Lewis & understanding all the “Morse” “Endeavour” & “Wagner” references 🤣 Have to find a way to watch “Endeavour” next 😅
Saw some Endeavour on TV. Is good but more "political" . This one is more relaxing
@@mariar3767 this turned a bit political as well, after time. Likely why it ended. Midsomer was a travesty at the end, sadly.
Have you seen Wexford?
@@toniasalways only a rare few episodes. Definitely not enough to be able to really discuss it.
@@mariar3767 I didn’t notice the politization of this show till episode 3 season6 because they were just introducing the gender identity crap (wish I could say that in a positive way) and I never noticed it. The writers could have just stuck with their usual themes…
British actors such naturals! TY
They appear that way because they are so well trained. It’s the training that makes the talented look effortless. “What one man can do, another man can do.” Anthony Hopkins
Brilliant! ❤
my favorite show ever
David Soul became a British citizen in 2004. He is considered American-British.
David Soul rocks.
Yes. The first Morse episodes are dark and quite so but I’m glad you stuck with them. The are very good.
I wish they had made a series about Lewis' s protoge/replacement when he retired with his girlfriend to Australia, OR....i iwsh they had focused on Lewis when in New Zealand/Australia with his new bride...? Another good series was NEW TRICKS.
I totally agree
The first time I hate Nancy Carroll character and just wanna shake her. Love her in Father Brown, Murder in Provence. She is wonderful!
Very obvious nod to Strom Thurmond with Lilian. And very funny having a ruthless, unsentimental woman named Anne Rand with its equally obvious nod to Ayn Rand.
Sounds like Lewis has a cold in parts of this episode.
Is it Lady Felicia?
I didn't recognise her until she got angry. First I thought it was dr who in a tone down voice.
O…These actors appear in different series all the time. ITV is a state sponsored channel so the producer/s choose amongst the graduation classes of any drama school they wish - as opposed to the US, where you have managers connected with the cast directors and have their clients show up for casting call.
Yes
@@marinazagrai1623actors in the UK have agents and managers just the same as in the USA. Many actors in these series are used repeatedly because they are jobbing, reliable actors who turn up on time and play their part without fuss.
Agent Hutch returns!
I really enjoyed seeing him again.
I was wondering if anyone else recognized David Soul!
Ann Rand = Ayn Rand? A clever allusion, no doubt.
They do that a lot on the show. Another reason to love it.
They are probably having fun with the literary “stuff”!
Talk about the genetically predisposed!
Hathaway was the. Bomb. In. Lewis. Series. So tall. Smart. And. Not a. Joiner.
I love Hathaway. Just so characteristic and intelligent.
dishy
I agree with Hathaway about those group on either side of the aisle.
How utterly stupid and unlikely that teacher and student would act out their affair in broad daylight
Are you kidding? Some profs barely close their office door when they are 'doing it' with a student, trust me. They have tenure.
You must not get out much.
But they do, in real life. Only that everyone knows what's going on but nobody cares.
@@jeanettesdaughter of course it is stupid, as is your vulgar "comment"
Tbt oxford’s is depicted as a cesspool of humans. I guess that was the intent to wakey wakey. Lol 😂
Yellend seems to be quite common in Oxfordshire, 3rd time so far in the show...must be troublemakers.
I miss. Lewis. Morse. And. Others. For want of. New. Mysteries. Wish the. Actors. Didn't. Die or. Leave. Or get replaced. May they all. R I p.
I recognize this house. Another case from Midsomer Murders. They upgraded the bridge and gate bit it's the same place.
The English seem to be VERY fond of alcohol.
Indeed. And tea and biscuits, and bangers and mash!
Duh. Yeah!
Ever been in London around 6PM?
since when do british cops drive bmws

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Series 7. 😊
Booze n pain pills. Lovely. combo. !! What not to do
I didn't recognise David Soul!
confused...did the college boy beat up the adulterous professor? it's unresolved...
The. Professor seems. To. Have a. Catty. Smile. Reminds me of people who plot things. I d k.
Am I wrong or is there a cheating spouse in almost every episode?
and a minimum of 4 bodies
Because of her pride. She. Stayed. In marriage. With. All the. Others. Passed. And present. Not love !!! But reputation. And. Pride.
Well said
Open. In plain sight. An affair. ! Well there no hiding. Now. Some are. Brazenly. Open. Never the less they all. Seem to get caught. Eventually.
Wander if that. Side. River. Restaurant. Ever. Flooded. !???
The friend. Dies and she lies. About the. Affair her friend had. Jealousy. Envy. ??
They just seem to like. Drinking. Every episode. And. Festivals. In n out of season.
All elements. Of. Race. Revenge. And. Discrimination.
Paper scissor stone?!? They mean rock paper scissors?!
,,,
Bad copy?
I wonder how this series would turn out if they al smoked pot instead of drinking liters alcohol.
Why would a grown up/sometimes adult, fear the dentist, who can fix anything that gives us pain and/or discomfort…I have been going, happily, to a dentist for decades (and I’m not 80).
Well, since not everyone is the same, some people have fears or even phobias that other people don't share.
🤷🏽♀️ why anything⁉️something bubbling up from the unconscious perhaps.
Dentistry has not always as painless as it is today.
@@southwerk Quite true. School dentists were feared and the fear remains.
@@mavisemberson8737 Pain, in order to be avoided, means the cause of the pain has to be treated. I was 13 when I needed a root canal for a molar that went bad and went through excruciating pain with no meds whatsoever (I lived in the former Soviet Bloc) during the weekend. Dentists (the good ones) are gods!
