I'm live on twitch everyday besides Mondays / potatori_ come hang out :)
this game was very frustrating but i even got the play of the game. Sadly I accidentally muted him LUL

  • That's why I always play on mute, noone uses mic for good comms anyway untill top500 so who cares, and on high lvl you play with same ppl over and over, if someone is toxic, they get perma banned.

    • I just wish there was a toxic lobby for those that can handle the toxicity and dish it back. A lot of gamers grew up in the early lobby days of halo 3 and mw2 and liked being able to rant or be toxic. Now nobody can and to some it's sad.

    • @@Hth_musta3122 because "talking trash" has always been part of competitive games. It's just like flaunting or using emotes whenever you get a point or a kill. They technically count as "talking trash" but it's through body language. People will always flaunt their skill when given the chance and some do it in adult language.

    • @@ncrest4365 -Weak AF how? Everyone does it in every sport and competition. It's up to each individual to either brush it off, retaliate or cry about it. Most know it's just a game and can enjoy in the banter so allowing a game mode for those gamers isn't bad. -Just say you can't handle any kind of joke or criticism. -I do it in real life when playing games with friends and they throw it right back. Sports fans do it when talking about other teams, you point out their language too? Why are you on my case when I'm providing an opinion for something that would benefit gamers who aren't stuck in PG lobbies?

  • These people always find some reason to flame someone. For you it was cuz he is sexist, for me it was cuz someone in my team was constantly insulting someone else, so I tried to defend them. He then turned to me and started insulting me for being Indian and made horribly racist comments non-stop. I was already afraid of talking on voice but since then it got worse. I don't regret it, but it is what it is. Some people are just insecure, and they take it out on other people. You handled it well, no point wasting your energy on these people, instant mute. They don't listen to reason, especially in a lobby where you are outnumbered by others like them.

  • You really did the right thing by leaving the vc. OW is a pretty stressful game as it is and that toxicity. I am okay with occasional trash talk in the middle of a game for stuff that is not like this. I am okay with a creative insult, but straight up s3xism. Yeah he needs to touch some grass and see the sun. I think it would do him well. Let's hope he gets banned, no one deserves to get treated like this, it just ruins the game for everyone.

  • Why cant there be a toxic lobby for players that can handle mean words and dish them back? I know I miss the old days of mw2 and halo3 where you could obliterate someone in game and then talk mad shit once they couldn't back it up. So fun back in the day.

    • @@potatori_ truth be told i think a lot of the like toxic communities from like valorant and CS are trying to find new FPS's to sit in until their games get fixed with some of the recent horrible mistakes their game companies have made....overwatch ended up being a landing pad for a lot of people this last few months and so the toxic players are coming in also.... Sorry you had such a bad experience and hope that people can just BE BETTER in the future.

    • i don't get when ppl say that someone's behavior online somehow doesn't mean they are ACTUALLY like that. how you act online, when you're anonymous and no one is looking at you, is just a clearer indication of who you really are as a person. your actions and behavior online ARE your actions and behavior. they aren't somehow separate from you just because they're communicated in a different medium. they're your choices. they are who you are. if you are sexist to people online, you are still doing sexist things and thus being sexist.

    • @@no_i_dont_want_no_slugs People actually act that way because there are no repercussions. 90% if the OW player base isn't actually sexist or like to practice any form of discrimination, they simply act like that because they can. Even if they have some form of hidden desire to discriminate, people in real life are not judged on their intrusive thoughts but on their actions. Being able to put those thoughts aside and be a decent human being is what most people realistically do in the real world.

    • yeah, i'm saying that your actions online are still YOUR ACTIONS. they still are who you are. ppl cope by acting like the online world is some alternate world where nothing matters. it's the real world too and the real you. i hope that most of the player base isn't sexist, but those who say and do sexist things online are being sexist by their very words and actions (as you said). those words being spoken through a game voicehat versus a phone call or in person doesn't make them "not count" somehow. how could they??? i personally don't see how someone can, for example, say racist things and slurs online but claim to not be racist. you are doing the racism by your words online. it just seems like cope to me.   • Names herself gothgirl talks on the mic and then is suprised she gets sexist comments. Change your name and dont talk on the mic i promise youll win more games and recieve less toxicity. Of course people have bullshitted me in this game, not too long ago there were 2 girls who were screaming in my ear telling me im an idiotand hating me the rest of the match simply because i told them lucio mercy isnt a good pick.
