hello the gram thing is mixing me up. can u tell me the flour measurements in cups alone

I just made this: It tastes nice! It's more like a not-so-sweet plaited bun instead of a bread though and there's only a very, very light aftertaste of banana - you probably won't taste it unless you know that the recipe asks for a banana. A couple of tips: 1. Yes, you can use all-purpose flour. 2. I replaced the milk powder with 2 tbsps of flour. 3. I put the egg in a measuring cup and filled it with milk up to 160ml. 4. Don't add more than 1 banana! I added 2 small ones (instead of a single big one) and the dough became really sticky, so I had to add more flour! 5. Yes, kneading it for 20 minutes is necessary, the dough'll end up really smooth and elastic. 6. Yes, letting the dough rest that often/for that long is necessary to give it that "airy" texture.
Yeah i realized that when done mixing it didnt look like his so i added more flour but how much is too much?
Did you add too many bananas too? I think I used about 0.5 times more flour than what the recipe asks for (if I remember correctly) but I'd recommend adding just a little bit at a time anyway, so it doesn't end up too dry.
@@Juleru ok couldnt stop thinking about it so i baked it now ok so i only put 1 banana but technically it was about 3 cups of flour came out soft no banana taste so i drizzled honey and sprinkled powder sugar and done soft and delicious

I love it too for that same reason ❤
Made this at night thinking to enjoy it next morning with a cup of coffee. All I found was an empty bread box when I woke up 😭. My 17yr, who never liked bread (and banana), devoured it at night while I was sleeping. 👍🏻😋 (I didn’t have milk powder so I used a mix of heavy cream and homo milk for the 70ml milk. It turned out great, I definitely will try the milk powder version next time)
I hate when that happens 😩 but u know u did something really really good
@@jahjoeka Either that or maybe his son was smoking pot ;D
Just made this with all-purpose flour and granulated sugar and omitted the milk powder. Made one big loaf instead of two small ones and baked in a 9x5 loaf pan for 20-25 min. Came out great! I might use a less ripe banana next time so that the banana flavor is not as strong, but overall it still tastes great.
So ur mixing and kneading with hands?
@@Fuutoux You can knead with your hands or with a machine
I've NEVER seen banana bread that was so light and fluffy before! Every banana bread I ever had was always delicious but also very DENSE! This looks AMAZING!
But the question is, does it taste banana because there's only one banana for 2 breads?
@@LA-iu8rv Good question!
My adapted version for Americans, if anyone is interested. DRY: 2-1/3 cups BREAD FLOUR (350g) 1/4 cup SUGAR (30g) 1 tsp. SALT 2 Tbsps. DRY MILK 1/2 Tbsp. INSTANT YEAST WET: 70ml MILK (.33 cups barely more than 1/3) 1 large EGG, beaten 1 BANANA, mash to lump-free 3 Tbsps. unsalted BUTTER (40g), cubed 1 Tbsp. BUTTER softened for after baking glaze 2 BAKING DISHES each: 8-1/2 x 2-1/2 x 4 inches, buttered Preheat Oven 200°F. As soon as it reaches temp. shut off but don't open door. 1) Large Mixer bowl: whisk DRY ingreds. Transfer to waxed paper and set aside. 2) Same bowl: Whisk WET ingreds. until lump-free. 3) With dough hook attachment: Carefully mix in DRY ingreds. Once combined raise speed to #2, mix until it comes together in ball and bowl sides are clean. 4) Add cubed butter and continue to mix until well combined, about 7-mins. 5) Transfer to clean work surface and do a finish knead. 6) Flatten w/fingers until you can tri-fold dough as you would a sheet of paper for an envelope. Turn 1/4 quarter, fold again. Repeat 3-times total. Tuck edges under forming smooth boule. 7) Corral boule w/palms of hands, and circle dough on work surface making a smooth boule. 8) Place into lightly oiled bowl, cover w/plastic wrap. 9) Place in preheated oven to PROOF: 1 hr. or to double. ASSEMBLE: Prep baking dishes and preheat oven as you did before, turning off at temp. 1) Using fist punch down dough. Transfer to clean working surface. Flatten divide in half. 2) Barely sprinkle a piece w/flour, roll out to match longest point of your dish and 3x the width. 3) Roll dough jelly-roll-fashion into a log, until log is length of dish, pinch edges to seal dough. 4) Cut 8-slices, adjusting slices to keep their shape in the log, as you go along. 5) Lift slices, keeping them as a loaf, and place carefully in dish. Repeat w/second dough piece. 6) Cover w/plastic wrap and repeat 1 hr. PROOF. Preheat oven 350°F at halfway point. 7) Remove plastic and BAKE: 350°F for 17-20 mins. or until golden. 8) Brush w/softened butter while still warm.
Thank you I will try this. Is it ok to use all purpose flour. Should I adjust the measurements of the other ingredients? Thank you
I'm inspired to do this. The bread is fluffy and i can smell its yummy flavor. Thanks so much for sharing your talent😊
This is, by far, the most satisfying video on my playlist for these troubled times. The birds chirping, people talking in the background (a tv maybe), the banana smashing, all of it! It's my happy place! 💗 Oh and the recipe of course, I hope to it soon. Thank you Apron!
I love this recipe.. All I could think about was soft garlic bread. I will follow your recipe and then switch to garlic bread the next batch. Will let you know how it comes out. Thanks for another great recipe!😀
How was the garlic bread version coming along, care to share how you make it?
Love that there's no music or talking. Thank you.
The natural sound is just therapeutic.. Perfect bread💯👏🏽👏🏽.. I can already imagine eating it right now
Thank you. I needed this so much. Every other banana bread is brown but this one reminds me of the banana bread I used to eat when I was little!
This is the best looking banana bread I have ever seen. Can't wait to try this recipe!
Lack of background music brings a whole new life to cooking videos i under estimated in the past. Just lovely to watch.
I used this recipe this morning! I also added a tsp of vanilla extract and along with smell of the banana it was hard to keep from eating the dough lol. The banana flavor is subtle and the end result was incredibly moist and chewy. Ty!! ❤️
Just finished baking this banana bread, and it taste AWESOME! Love every bite of it. Can’t wait for my daughter to taste it in the morning. Thank you for making such a great and easy to follow recipes!
kudos !!!!!!!!!
🤣 my mouth started watering in the first few seconds when I saw the bread being brushed. It looks so yummy 😍
This is the most delicious banana bread I ever made, and I do a lot of bread and different recipes! The clay is great to work on and grows beautifully. Everyone in my house loved it. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you APRON for the youtube demonstration! 👍👍👍The bread smells soooooo good!
Made this a year ago and still can’t believe it was as good as it was. My only alterations were adding 1Tsp of good banana extract and mixing some of the bananas with the milk. Unbelievably delicious 🤤 thank you 🙏🏾
Excelent recipe with bananas and a good enterteinment I am passing to a quarantine in my appartment in Ecuador. I am making since 3 or 4 monts ago something similar with bananas: "hot cakes" without flour just adding eggs and quaker oats and putting other ingredientes as nuts, raisins, chocolates or others equal ingredients as them. And bananas give the sweetest flavor to them, preferably when they are very mature when the peel cover is full of coffee points.

Just circling back, I left the dough to rise overnight inside the baking pans after I cut them as instructed. They really rise. I baked first thing in the morning and oh so yummy. Results: fluffy and airy. Thank you!
I don't bake bread but I'm going to make an exception for this one. I'll even look to buy the pans. It looks so soft I bet I can eat one loaf all by myself with a mug of coffee. 🙂 Thank you for sharing.
Thank you Apron!!! I just made this and my bread turn out so fluffy & soft with light taste of banana 💛💛💛💛💛
Wish we had a Asian bakery here where I live, the pastries always look so soft and yummy 🤤

i resisted all my life to buy a stand mixer! But after watching this video, I'm definitely buying one! Chef You made it look so doable! My gratitude...
So did I. I bought one a couple of weeks ago and have used it almost daily. It’s also amazing for mashing potato 🥔 😁
Why? I bake and knead etc by hand, it's fine
用这个配方和份量我做了一整个(32cm的模具),样子跟版主一样,很香香蕉味(用的香蕉比较大一条有200克),吃起来很松软。Very good. 谢谢版主。

does it taste banana?? or just a hint?

This loaf looks so delicious😄 And the silence is great , only natural noises 😊 No need for noisy music .thank you .
This looks amazing. It’s bread with a subtle taste of banana. Not like the American version that’s more like cake. Can’t wait to try this.
I made this and used apple sauce instead of bananas. My family loved it.
How much apple sauce did you use?
That is a great idea.
Sajjad Naeem I would use the same amount as banana, 100 grams.

Sou do Brasil, ja fiz essa receita 2x, no inicio pensei que a massa não daria certo pela textura, mas deu certo sim 👏👏👏👏"bom pão"! Obrigada Apron 🍅pela receita.
I love the dishes Apron uses for her breads and I can’t find similar ones anywhere. So elegant!
Loree Davis I found some on amazon!
Rebecca M I looked around on Amazon but not sure about the size of that little white oval bread pan used for the Sandwich Bread. Did you see any like that?
Just made this bread, thanks for the recipe. It came out very soft and fluffy 👌👌👌

Thank you so much for sharing this recipe! I really appreciate the information on the speed settings and time. It really looked like a lot more than 3 tablespoons of butter. Thank you for sharing your skills with us.
The loaves turned out perfect. Thank you so much for the recipe 🙏🏼🤍
I learnt one thing from this recipe ... no matter how much you r pressed by somebody always rise up like a pro ...

This bread is so good. Thanks for the recipe.
Hey just made this, and gotta tell you it’s sooooo good! Glad there were 2 cause 1 disappeared in a second! It got a beautiful golden brown color on the outside, but the inside is so soft and fluffy!
You really have amazing baking skills and I want to thank you for sharing with us. This is an amazing recipe and I look forward to making it for my family. Thank you!

That was very delicious .. Thank you so Munch And also, I like the sound of coocking, no talking, no music, ... Only cooking.
It looks delicious! Congrats!
So, I made this today with a few minor alterations. I warmed up the milk a bit in the same bowl I smushed the bananas in and I added 1 tsp of real banana extract for more banana flavor, and then added the egg. And Oh...My....Goodness😍 it was so delicious that my son ate one whole loaf 😅, I hid the other one. It was full of banana flavor and so moist, I will be making this again for sure. Thank you for this amazing recipe😊👏🏽.
Have tried and succeed. The recipe and instructions are easy to follow. Thank you Apron!!
Apron, I really like your videos! Is it okay if I request a French Bread recipe? The one with a crispy outside and super soft inside? 😭🙏🙏🙏🙏
Muito top seu pão. Obgd pela receita e parabéns!
That KitchenAid mixer looks good. I need me one of those 🤤
I made this today and texture was superb fluffy. There was also a nice hint of banana 😋
Hi, I just made this but using wholemeal bread flour and change the banana to sweet potato. so soft, love it.
That looks delicious. It's going on my "To make" list.
Hi, at what point do you add the yeast?
Wonderfully silent! Thank you, I'm gonna try it!

Love, love ur recipe so easy and simple to follow!
I made this following ingredients and instructions and it was AMAZING!!!! Very soft, chewy and full of flavor. Hint of Banana flavor. It did not survive till the next day. Thank you Apron, your recipes are always bomb (very good)
This looks so light and fluffy, not to mention delicious 🍞🍞🍞......
I’ve never recreated a recipe where my dough texture and overall result was this close to the video - well done and thank you ^^
Liam did you have any problems with your dough coming together?
shawniekc not at all - I’m sometimes quite impatient and had troubles before with other recipes but I let my kitchenaid knead the recommended 20 min and was able to take it out in one piece :)
@@shawniekc I was kneading by hand and had to add about 100g of Flour.
@@shawniekc after the butter, dough seems to fall apart.... just needs a little work for a couple minutes and it all ends up blending just fine.
the 'who's here because of ....." question/answers were the best thread I have read in a very, very long time. In isolation, I am rather dependent on this type of communication for any conversation. I live in the So. Colorado Mtn. @ 8,500 elevation in a town of 400 so honestly isolation is rather certain. This video was fabulously entertaining and I will most definitely attempt this beautiful creation even with the challenges of high altitude baking! thank you!

I just made this recipe, I allowed myself to add pastry cream (custard cream in french 🇫🇷) and chocolate chips. The result was stunning and the whole family was conquered.
Charles Guenot pastry cream 🤤🤤 did you make it yourself?
Cassandra Randria of course, it’s very easy and It just takes five minutes to make it homemade. i say pastry cream because it’s the translation of the french name, bit i think in english it’s custard cream. if you want the recipe, i can send you with pleasure.
Charles Guenot oui de la crème pâtissière c’est ça? 🙂 je dirais pas non pour la recette stp
YUMMMMM!!!! I am going to try it the Charles Guenot way.
What IS pastry cream? I’d love the recipe please. 😍
I have tried this recipe three times. My advise: if you have no mixer and you're doing it by hand DO NOT put all the milk in the bowl at once. Apply gradually as needed. Otherwise the dough is going to be too liquid
Hi, Yes, because each of the flour to absorb water is not the same, can try to adjust the liquid
@@Apronyoutube I tried in 1 1/3 cups of bread flour it was sooo sticky so I added more bread flour, my dough did not rise. Then I tried all purpose flour 2 1/3 cups , 1/2 TBSP instant yeast again the dough did not rise. Should have I increased the yeast to 1 TBSP. Also you said 70 ml fresh milk, that only equivalent to 4 TBSP and a little bit. Shld have I increased the fresh milk to to 170 ml. Pls advise
Omg you do some amazing work you're a genius at making some beautiful cakes 😊
