In this vlog we chat about her cycling career, her proudest moments, advice to women wanting to start cycling, thoughts and feelings on retiring from professional cycling and the honest struggles and changes that come with it.

A little about me
Thanks for dropping by.
I’m your classic runner turned newbie cyclist.
For years I feared riding a bike - I was afraid of traffic, clipping in, couldn’t get my head around lycra, chamois cream and clambering up hills on a bike.
I didn’t believe that riding a bike would give me the same de-stress, mental download or sense of freedom that life as a long distance runner had given me before my knees ground to dust.
Fast forward to 2021 and picking up a second hand CAAD10 changed my life for the better. Not just physically and mentally. But also providing a sense of community and belonging - which is magic. The cycling community is just magic.
So I’m here. To hopefully inspire others to not fear the bike - the lycra, the clipping in. And come share the passion, freedom and indescribable joy that comes from being on the bike. I truly believe that the bike life is the best life and everyone should be able to enjoy it.
Come with me on some adventures.

Manon is a real asset to GCN and we could do with more on the channel from a female perspective. I am Male but do think it is important to have a balanced view of the world and female voices need to be heard more.
She is brilliant. Totally agree. Thank you for watching.
What's cycling kit does Manon have on?
Her GCN kit!
kiss ass lol

I’m so used to Mannon being the presenter, it’s cool seeing her just answering questions and being chill.
Thank you so much for watching. She’s the chillest person to chat to 💜
Nice job getting an interview with Manon. I see her all the time on the GCN channels but have never heard her background. Impressive Manon! Continued blessings and success to both of you. Best view was having both of you on camera at the same time during the interview.
Thanks so much for watching! 🙌🏼 yesss mixed it up! Glad you liked it 😂🙌🏼🙌🏼
Great interview guys! Manon is such a great role model for women and girls getting into the sport. My 10 year old daughter is going through the GCN back catalogue watching all the Manon episodes 👏🚴♀️ (👋 from Adelaide, South Australia)
Ahhh thanks for watching. That’s brill. I love her so much, such a hero.
Manon always has the best GCN thumbnails.
It would be nice to see Manon more on GCN, along with other women. I watch it regularly at home and would love my daughters to see a bit more balance. The GCN blokes are boss but it can get a bit blokey.
Manon you help me with my cycling. I am living Type two Diabetes and cycling has helped me with my fitness. Keep up the good work. My main sport is sailing and have sailed on Chew Valley Lake. In sailing you keep sailing at a high level in old age. If you ever want to sail let me know.
Really enjoyed that thanks. Would like to see you both more regularly, setting the world to rights, sharing your perspective etc. you both are so entertaining.
Thank you so much for watching! Loved every minute of it.
Great interview 😊
Thanks so much for watching!
Awesome video. It was nice to know more about Manon and you did a fantastic job with the interview questions.
Thanks so much for watching Keith!
Awesome episode!!! Manon is amazing🤩 she’s such an inspiration and a huge part of the GCN Team🚴🏼♀️💨
Thanks for watching - she’s just the best 💜
Love this, great interview ❤
Ahh thank you so much for watching!
Great work Kate - a natural interviewer
Ah thanks so much for watching. Appreciate it.
I really enjoyed watching the video of the two of you cycling while sharing stories. stay healthy
Ahh thank you so much for watching!
Manon is great. Love her work on GCN.
Couldn't agree more!
An insightful interview/chat with Manon. I've never been to Japan, but I think it has some big hills and mountains. Another great place in Asia to visit and cycle in would be Taiwan. Thanks!
Thanks so much for watching! Ahh that would be so fab. Would love to cycle there.
Great interview
Thanks so much for watching!
I remember hearing about Manson finishing a stage of The Women’s Tour with a broken pelvis!!! I can’t imagine how hard that must have been.
She’s one tough cookie that’s for sure.
great vid.
Thanks so much for watching!
Great to see Manon interviewed.
Thanks so much for watching!
Great interview and a nice coup to get Manon on your channel. Despite the fact that she says that she isn't as fast now, she is still a rapid rider. Very down to earth person, and a lovely accent, but then again, I am a bit biased, being Welsh also.
She’s incredible 💜 so lucky to get to spend time with her. Thanks for watching.
Love Manon! My cheeky crush 😻
😂 me too
Wow 🤩 A GCN Presenter .
One of the best!
Manon is one funny presenter. Love her on the GCN.
She’s a brilliant human!
Nice interview
Thanks so much for watching!
@@Pelohun are you still doing the Marmotte?
Ooooohhhh, Manon; that is a very intriguing challenge, saying Kate/Pelohun should get on the track - no brakes, one gear and being at one with the bike ... Then Manon added the "Would you share your emergency gel, could we go half and half, would you do that for me"?! What a challenge, on camera! (Surely anyone would (?) but I love the whole philosophy implication)
thank you i have to agree , MORE VIEWS MAKES CYCLING BETTER FOR ALL they can comment but they should be open to the same back
You need to join gsn Manon is my favourite presenter
Haha a dream. She is incredible xx
You mastered filming whilst cycling 😂
Hahah!
it is rare here in southern california seeing females doing long distance riding. most just stick to looping around their neighborhoods. part of it has to do with road raging nissan sentra drivers.
All the comments, currently, seem to be coming from males and that imo is disappointing! They are all supportive and positive, which is great, but where are the comments from females? I looked at UK viewing stats for KZhead and it is equal between the genders (50.1% male, 49.9% female). How do we (you and many other female cyclists) get a balanced viewer profile? Admittedly I don't know the m:f viewer distribution for your channel but I would LOVE to know how to get an *obviously* greater female participation. If I knew of a solution, I would contribute towards its cost. Cycling is for everyone, society as a whole will benefit from having a balanced participation profile.
Males are 'comment leavers' on youtube in general , that's all it is. Viewership will be more balanced than comment section suggests.
