The Basics with Babish Cookbook is available now for preorder on Amazon! Special thanks to Brad Cash for filming and Nico Borbolla for producing this episode with me over the past 5 days!
Congratulations On 10 million man.
You deserve it.
Okay not to be a grammar police but you misspelled "basic" also congratulations on 10 million
10 Million and all of them are totally deserved. Congratulations man
Hey babish, when the time comes, you should reveal your diamond play button.
"It's more than a book, it's a celebration of mistakes." Babish really is the Bob Ross of the culinary universe.
He shares many of the traits. Even tempered men with relaxing voices
With the opposite hair
Have you by any chance known of making carob similar to that of chocolate?
Ever boil your milk past a light scald for tempering? No problem, it's birds now.
Yeah
I absolutely love that Andy has built something that took him from making gnocchi while singing like a crazy person at 3am to getting drone shots of him running through the jungle in Ecuador. Congrats on reaching 10 million!
Yes I love when people go from regular relatable people to wealthy hipsters
The is the conclusion to the chocolate series that Alex the french guy should have made. I hope he sees this and gets inspired to continue :)
@@pderham26 The word hipster has completely lost its meaning since 2013.
@@pderham26 salty
@@pderham26 someone's mad that other people are most successful and better than them in every way.
That ending with the candy bar bag was incredible. Great content as always man.
Seeing an actual candy bar bag carrying bag right before my eyes was one of the greatest experiences you've given me!!!
The absolute chokehold that SpongeBob has on me is insane. I literally can’t think about or mention chocolate without thinking about this episode or quoting it.
After watching this video, I think I'll be the same way.
Is your mother home? 😏
I'll forever picture 10 Andys throating the 10 chocolate bars that Patrick buys.
Seek help
☺️☺️
I'm an Ecuadorian and you cannot imagine how excited i got when I saw you visited my country. I've been subscribed to this channel for 4 years by now and I will continue supporting it. Thanks for all your videos.
It looks very pretty! :)
awe 🥺 that’s wonderful.
Ecuadorian-Canadian here, I wonder if they invited Babish to the country just to reach the higher-up fruit for them 🤔
It’s beautiful 😊
Same
how has this man only gained 200k subscribers in over a year? it's not like the videos have gotten any worse
Getting to taste the cacao straight out of the pod must've been amazing. Congratulations on 10 million subscribers!
Finally, the episode where Babish actually makes everything from scratch
I don't know... it looks like he bought some of those machines.
I dunno, I was kinda hoping he'd engineer his own plane with which to fly to Ecuador
Didn’t forge his own pots either 😔
if only HTME made all the equipment to make chocolate for him
He clearly didn't grow the cacao trees, himself.
This is a perfect BWB episode. An iconic food from an iconic episode of an iconic show, mixed with great cinematography and of course the actual chocolate making process. Cheers on 10 mil babish, you deserve it.
Cant believe SpongeBob invented chocolate bro, guess you learn more every day!
This is a perfect comment.
him doing the bag bit was just chefs kiss
@R. P. Slow-mo Babish dash through the jungle was pure adventure theater--all that was needed was the _Jonny Quest_ sound sting and pursuit by arrow-firing natives (with the occasional _aaaiiiieeee_ as one got eaten by 'gators!).
same i am loving this video so much. food truly does bring us together ❤
being here since Timpano really has been a journey congrats on the 10Mil you earned it and I cant wait to see where we go from here!
congratulations!!!! i've loved your content since 2020, always has been great. never fail to deiver. that 10mil is thouroughly deserved.
Congratulations on the diamond play button!! I can't think of any channel more deserving of the honor!! My brother and I have been brought closer together by this channel and its recipes. We've celebrated flawlessly tempered eggs when making the chocolate oasis pie from Waitress, done so many bad Kronk impressions while making spinach puffs, and the French toast bake from Basics is now a Christmas morning staple. Thank you all at the BCU for doing what you do. It's a bright, bright light in what can be a very dark world.
Ordinary sausage deserves it more
-🤖
Lol lots of others deserve it
It’s funny you said that because I came just to say I couldn’t think of a channel that deserves it less than this one. One of the biggest quality drops in KZhead history.
@Investing With Cole why? Where did the quality drop?
That Cinematography was amazing! Congrats to the whole Babish Team for 10 Million.
It would’ve been cool to see the actual cacao from Ecuador be brought to New York but this is still great
That intro was a pretty solid action film setup!! 10/10 would watch!
The folks you showcased in Ecuador looked so thrilled to have a guest who loves to share and appreciate the world like you do. Thanks for all the work you've put into your videos, and the work of all your teammates.
yeah :) makes me emotional, along with seeing how far this channel has come
Thats the thing, we latinos love when people from other countries want to visit our little humble land. Its so nice and people are so kind to tourists. For us is an honor when someone from a first world country shows interest in our ways. Its sad because I lived in different places of Europe and a lot of times the people were not thrilled that I was there. Especially old people. Even once in Poland there was an independence day and my Polish friends told me not to go out because foreigners get harased
Congratulations on 10 Million!
10 Million on Congratulations! Wait, no-

Awesome episode! I should have known you'd have something extra special for the 10 million special, but still did not expect to see you visiting a cacao farm in Ecuador. And I'm looking forward to the Basics cookbook!
That ending with and candy bar bag was incredible.great content as always
At first, I was thinking “huh, a chocolate bar doesn’t seem quite as elaborate as his other subscriber specials.” Then I saw he was boarding a plane to Ecuador and THEN I knew we were heading in the right direction. Congrats on this insane milestone! One of the first videos I watched on this channel was the Krabby Patty so this is a nice full-circle moment for me. Keep on cooking - I will if you will!
Mate, knowing Babish, even the most simplistic recipes are gonna be taken over the top when required for maximum flavor.
Even Neil red didn't go Into this much effort for his chocolate.
Awesome video and many congratulations on hitting 10M! You guys deserve it!
10 million is insane! I've been here since you were in an apartment. This is fantastic.
From making pesto pasta in a tiny apartment, to going to ecuador and making chocolate from scratch with genuine tv level documentary editing. What a journey its been.
Well this was probably the most nostalgia inducing episode of Binging with Babish. That Chocolate episode of SpongeBob is completely iconic. The triple chocolate purse reenactment at the end just filled my heart with so much joy😭🫶🏽Gonna go check out that cookbook now!
a well deserved milestone for BCU, congratulations!
That ending with the candy bar bag was incredible. Great content as always 👨
It put a big grin on my face to see you go through the whole process of making chocolate - right down to the faces of the people who are at the core of it and the fruit harvesting. Absolutely love it, and congrats on much deserved 10 million subscribers.
As someone who grew up in Ecuador, seeing Babish spend a day there filled me with joy I can't begin to describe. Happy 10 million subs! Here's to many more 🍻
Your dedication to your craft is immense, you deserve it!
Your dedication to your craft is immense you deserve it,
I was expecting a cooking video and was given a short film. I wouldn’t have thought to make chocolate from scratch, but you continue to never disappoint! Happy 10 Million!
seeing chocolate being made from scratch is always amazing to see
I feel like, every time I see someone do it, it's like I'm seeing it for the first time.
I always just take a moment of "humans really go out and do The Most, don't we..."
@@cam4636 RIGHT? how did humans come up with this stuff????
As much as I wasn't expecting a trip to Ecuador to hunt for cacao, I certainly admire Andrew's commitment.
Favorite video so far. Traveling to Ecuador, making chocolate and of course SpongeBob!! Great video
Congratulations Andy, and all the others I've been here for the journey.
From tossed salads and scrambled eggs to making the best food from SpongeBob. Congrats Andrew On This Amazing Achievement
Your dedication to your craft is immense, you deserve it.
I literally quoted the old lady scene from this episode earlier this morning and this showed up in my suggested videos
Really thought the ending would be Andrew running away after hearing someone scream, "CHOCOLATE!"
Congrats on the 10 MIL Andrew's
I Really like how there was that dramatic cocoa scene where after he takes in the cocoas presence, the the infamous chocolate fish chases Babish.
Man, it sucks you couldn't bring the pod back from Ecuador, but so cool you went over there to see how it's grown! Great video, congrats on the 10 milly, onwards and upwards!!
I was so happy to see the bags!
Babish making ethically-sourced chocolate is just the first step in his effort to make the Hawthorne's legendary S'mores!
Netflix: are you still watching? Someone’s Daughter: 03:56
😂 yooo too wild
I cant think of a better 10 million special. Something ‘simple’ and commonplace but done so well and from scratch. Congrats guys, absolutely deserved!
As someone who's been watching since the early 2M days - WELL DONE on 10M Andrew & Team!
LOVE the cinematic experience in the beginning😭💗
I don’t think it’s a stretch to say almost no one on KZhead deserves this achievement more than you. One of the most original and entertaining channels there is and your dedication is unmatched. Congrats on 10 Mil Andrew!!
Congratulations 🎈10 million subscribers!
Homemade chocolate? Awesome!
Nice
Yes
One of the best episodes honestly speaking
Your dedication to your craft is immense
Congratulations on 10 million! As someone who lives in Ecuador, this was such a fun "field trip"
Yooooo the fact that you went to fricking Ecuador for this really shows how dedicated you are and how far you've really come as a KZheadr. So proud of you man I've been a huge fan of you since the beginning and I even have two of your books. They really changed my life when it came to cooking and boy was it fun listening to your commentary while you made the dish. Congratulations man you truly deserve this milestone. Never stop making those tasty dishes ya hear! From Ellie Godelia c:
Hi hi hopefully you are not still terrorizing children or faking injury or stealing people’s videos lololol
Such a heckin’ cool episode!!!!
this was absolutely incredible
I don't remember the day I found this channel, but I know it was around five years ago, because that's when I started getting seriously into cooking. I had suffered a really significant trauma, and I found that cooking helped to take my mind off things. Finding your channel, for me, was like a storm-swept ship finding dry land. Thank you so much for all the work you've done. Your channel has contributed to my life so positively, and changed it for the better forever.
Congratulations Babish and team!!!
Absolutely amazing
Brother, that intro though. SOLID GOLD xD Man, you break the fourth wall with such grace, you might as well be Ryan Reynolds' cooler brother.
I went on vacation to Costa Rica last year and we went to a chocolate farm there and did a chocolate tour. It was probably one of the most interesting experiences of my lifetime. And I call it a tour, but it was more of a three hour presentation about the history of cocoa and chocolate, with some awesome chocolate on the side. So, now I can tell you that chocolate was actually a side product that came into existence, because some guy left the grinding machine, that was supposed to just make cocoa powder, running overnight.
You should make Double Onion Ice Cream Cake from Infinity Train
Yes! This music is back!!!
This reminds me of the quote by Carl Sagan, “If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe”
This was the first channel to really get me into cooking. As such it holds a special place in my heart. I probably started watching it around 2018 and it's so great to see you guys reach such an astronomical amount of subscribers. Thank you so much for all you do! If not for this channel, I don't know how I'd have survived in the kitchen all these years.
Ah, yes! Finally! The "Andrew Wanted an Excuse to Expense a Concher (with a Bonus Trip to Ecquador)" episode! Congrats!!!
This was absolutely incredible
Finally someone who made legit chocolate without straight up using chocolate. I know chocolate was added a bit in the end but most of the hard work was already done
I appreciate the effort put into this little tribute to the history and labor involved in producing chocolate, it's so easy to get detached from the roots and I think that's a big part of how so many workers get exploited.
The intro alone shot this episode into probably my top ten favorites, but it's also such a beautiful way to celebrate this milestone. Thank you so much for the work, the food, the immense heart, and oh so many laughs. 💛💛💛
That scene is just as funny today as ot was when I first saw it
I was just there in Naranjal with Jamil, best chocolate ive ever tasted. He had a cool avatar tattoo
This went in directions that I wasn't prepared for
Those veins popping out of your head really show how seriously dedicated you are to your craft 👌👌
Never have I clicked faster on a video. Been with you since the start, and even got the tattoo of born and bread inspired by you. Thank you Andrew, for everything.
So happy you went to the town I grew up in. Proper towns name pronunciation do is “GUAYAKILL”
This was amazing congratulations
What if you make all the snacks from Craig of the Creek episode, "After school Snack Showdown"?
I know it’s impressive that Babish went all the way to Ecuador to see how Chocolate is made, but what is equally impressive is how accurate the home made wrapping is to the one from SpongeBob Congratulations on 10 million Andrew
Dude I’m dying over here this episode’s quality just jumped 500%-
A sponebob voice actor had no business going that hard into screaming "CHOCOLATE"
I feel extremely priveleged to have seen the growth of you and this channel over the many years I've been watching. Truly very happy for you, Andrew.
It's been so nice seeing you gain more and more success and recognition Babby, your early videos and channel by extension set me off to become a chef and I'll be forever thankful for that ❤️ Here's to the next 10 million! 🙏 PS. Thank you so much for introducing me to Broke for Free, can't tell you how many prep sessions their music was the anthem of!
Absolutely perfect ❤
The way he rizzed us up when he tried to match the face SpongeBob made
Congratulations on 10 million subscribers to the entire Babish team! Also…CHOCOLAAAAAAAAAATE!
Can’t believe you came this far, you and your team deserve every single bit of success until now and forever
Love the epic montage
It's more than a book, it's a celebration of mistakes." Babish really is the Bob Ross of the culinary universe.
What a perfectly Babish episode. Congratulations to everyone at the BCU!
Maybe for an early Saint Patrick's Day video, you make anything that's green! Example: The Ham-Egg-Edon from Green Eggs and Ham cartoon episode, "Goat"
It's me, one of your 10 million subscribers. No way you had those candy bar bags on hand before this episode. Thanks for the content also.
no visit to Ecuador is complete without a sighting of Toby Goofy (the smallest boy)
Who knew recreating burgers from Parks&Rec would lead you to running for your life in Ecuador 😄 congrats man, and thank you for making all the recipes from Spongebob and other fave cartoons over the years come to life
Supercool and utterly insane. Andrew, this hit every node that needed hitting today. Congratulations and may you continue to grow.
Even the tour guides name is mango. This channel really sticks with the food theme hard
Your cookbook premiered a day after my birthday
Congrats to the Babish crew! Way to go on 10mil, SO SO SO well deserved for all of the excellent content you've put out over the years!
This was by far my favourite episode of Spongebob
