Rally Driver REACTS to Dirt Rally 2
"That pixel would have sent you and the car in five different directions, but listen to the engine's tune!"
Dirt rally in a nutshell
@@casedistorted The only thing to make the Dirt Rally games more awesome, is if they had BeamNG physics and soft body destruction.
@@TheOnlyGhxst *hits rock* 💀
@@TheOnlyGhxst omg yes PLEASE
@@TheOnlyGhxst so basically just beamng lmfao
This guy is basically Gordon Ramsay and Bob Ross combined into a single person, talking about rally.
What I aspire to be haha
"Let the throttle do the work."
Just saying that cause he is british. Boring joke. British guy critiquing something...GORDON RAMSAY!!!
What's even funnier about your comment is that "Art of Rally" is a name of an actual existing game It's pretty good btw
Happy little accidents.
For a Rally game, we're showing an awful lot of the GT class cars. Almost all of them. More on brand to stick to the likes of the Group B, Group A, 2000cc and R5 cars me thinks. =p
staff here probably have no knowledge about rallying so,,, so forgive them
Dude, there's nothing wrong with trying something different
Would've been even more awesome if it were RBR instead of dirt i think :P
I least the 911 have been in rallying for years.

Rally Drivers are the most skillful drivers in the worlds. Like the kind of things need to go through. Tarmac, Dirt,Grass, Narrows streets, trees and people everywhere, uneven terrains, rocks, high speed, 0 controllable setting where everything is prepared to not fail. I respect those drivers more than anyone else
I personally think isle of man TT racers are way more impressive, but when it comes to cars I agree that rally drivers are the most skilled.
@@realgucman Risk is much higher in Isle of Man TT, but do you need more skill to do it than to do rallying? I don't think so, at all.
@@zwjna I respectfully disagree, but that’s fair bro. Both rally drivers and IOMTT riders are incredibly talented. I hope you have a nice day my friend.
@@realgucman Sure they are. But the original poster is talking about the set of skills needed to do rallying, compared to pretty much anything else motorsports-wise. I sure think that the nature of rallying imposes the highest number of requirements that practicioner drivers must meet. That is to say: rallying requires more skills than most other forms of motorsport - including, in my opinion, IOMTT. It's worth noting that I'm not using "skill" and "talent" as synonyms. Let's say that a driver's talent is his ability to gather and sharpen his skills. Following that logic, I'm absolutely convinced, and nothing can change my mind, that Max Verstappen, Fernando Alonso, Ayrton Senna, Michael Schumacher, and any other top-level circuit driver, for example, are less skilled than Sébastien Loeb, Sébastien Ogier, Carlos Sainz Senior, Tommi Mäkinen, Colin McRae, etc. But they, just like Loeb and company, are incredibly talented, so we can be as convinced that they could gather those skills they lack and sharpen them as much as the others did. When it comes to talent, it's not about the category, but about the drivers that perform it. And surely WRC, IOMTT, F1, etc. have incredibly talented drivers. But most definitely, for me, WRC requires the most skills.
@@zwjna the risk in IOMTT is insane compared to rallying but the skillset in rallying is more diverse but much safer
"If I didn't do at least a 50 G impact in Dirt Rally, I wasn't trying hard enough." Mood!
Went ballistic into those trees
4:46 You know you're doing something wrong if a rally driver calls you wreckless.
TBH the didn´t choose the ideal guy to present DR2. But still great video.
Yea, a lot of drivers playing these games do wreckless things you'd never do in real life. Hell go play forza and you'll see how wreckless drivers are and you know they drive like that irl too.
@@Delimon007 wdym they drive like that irl too, most people that play forza arent even old enough to own a car
@@yeetforever8836 but some are stupid enough to treat real life like a racing game at night. Though they often take uo headlines later after they die xd
@@yeetforever8836 And there is me, 25 yo playing Forza that never even thought about getting a driving license Point? Yes, Forza players dont have cars irl
4 years on, DiRT RALLY 2.0 is still one of the best rally games ever.
What is better
@@user-dm2hr3qk9lRichard Burns Rally.
@@user-dm2hr3qk9lPeople realllllly like Richard Burns Rally despite its age and how hard it can be to get it running optimally on modern machines
@@user-dm2hr3qk9llook out for the next WRC game coming out in 2 weeks. Looks promising!
@@user-dm2hr3qk9lnothing
i like how he's not judging the driver but the game physics of this game
The game physics in DiRT RALLY 2.0 also is way more realistic than RBR PS2.
@@purwantiallan5089 True for the version of RBR without mods, but modded RBR physics has much more convincing/realistic physics.
@@Starmast3rmusicI’m just glad to find out Dirt 2.0 is even in the same league as RBR. It feels convincing to me thru my sim rig (On dirt anyhow) but what do I know?
He really does know what he is doing! More Rally videos coming soon? ;)
YOOO, THE SALEEN S7 I HAD TO SUB
He better be reacting to Richard Burns Rally next time!
In your dreams
Not much audience sadly.
@@arcidg Nearly as much audience today as WRC Generations 😅☺
RBR doesnt have much audience, but it is a very exhilirating and hard game thats for sure. Takes lots of practice. I could only manage a rally2 car 😅
@@kalerk_tm5690 But now we have the rallysimfans version with an extensive track, car and addon repository.
15:10 We approve of the DIY rig 😎
4:29 strange that he mentioned Craig. He just passed away a few days ago from a crash in testing.
So very sad
probably pre-recorded
Yes love this new expert bring him back for more to react to WRC4
Can't really understand why you would be watching this from anything but the onboard view.
I wish you guys could let him try playing it, that would be fun
Its a good video, but a shame that there was no footage from in car or VR. I would have enjoyed hearing their thoughts on how the look of it compares to IRL in those types of views.
That last run is a decent representation of how I play with a controller lmao. Definitely not on ice though! The 4x4 does a lot of the work for me. I'm awful with rear wheel drive
He needs the in-car view to get a better feel of the car and even reviewing it. Would love to see some Irish Rally on a game. Narrow bumpy with some cow shite. That’s a challenge
Looks like he is driving it in car.. but just showing chase cam on the replay.
Love to see the Camaro get a bit of spotlight. As an owner of a fifth Gen, that road would terrify me. Beast has a hard enough time in the rain, forget the snow. Definitely gotta invest in a good sim rig.
I’m actually glad this guy did a review. You can tell he’s in the last few years gotten somewhere he’s real proud of and feels more like a rally driver so it’s like he has somethin to prove or atleast talks about the sport as if he’s tryna make it look good. I love to see that because it allows for a genuine review of the game and an actual comparison to real life. Drivers who been in it longer would probably be more inclined just to review it as a game and avoid actual comparisons so it don’t seem like they’re just shitting on it since games from their era and mine were never meant to be realistic so I even find it hard personally using realism as a comparison.
More rally and bring this guy back 👍
Solid analysis 👌
Thank you! I prefer to show than twll
Great! Waiting for more of rally and this guy! 😁
What about Group B cars? Those are the most interesting.
Producer probably like 'oooh lets show him the supercars instead of the old rusty cars" because they don't really have any idea
Excellent video thank you. Could you please do a video where you explain your force feedback settings for dirt rally 2 and your settings in the game to make it feel as realistic in a SIM as it does in real life? particularly the tire friction and wheel friction and center force are settings. I don’t quite understand them yet and I’m not sure how it should feel because I’ve never driven a real rally car. I am using the Fanatec podium (20 Nm) at 70%.
Where's Bunta
That's for drifting sonny
Profile pic matches the comment perfectly lol
We need him to review more racing games 🙏
I learned a ton thanks g
Good lord why were the tunes bumping? Whoever edited this needs a raise
Perfect play 😮
I love this guy he's so simple and exciting 😊
I need a collab between this guy and the Pro Racing driver
Yhis guy is not a pro.... i am epiphany in dirt2.0 got 259 world records. Truat me thia guy is not fast
Show him Richard burns rally from rallysimfans, it s the BEST game for sim rallying
💯
Shoulda asked me for some footage :P
"Samir" ... at least these these drivers don't appear to break their cars. Nice getting a rally expert btw! I enjoyed his knowledge :)
Please more of his reviews.
"i love wide open road like this", im feeling claustrophobic in that road
One of your best videos
gamology survival expert kinga philipps is my favorites
The ice stage is tricky thus you need to setup the differentials for the car to be able to compromise on different grips between the left and right tyres since the ice patches can be in either left or right side but will also make the car to be more on the grippy handling harder to drift in corners on dry roads.
You habe 0 idea. I am epiphany got 259 world records on dirt2.0
@@chinolo44 i wasnt talking about you. More on general point.
Great reaction, especially with the times, the engine sounds, and Monte Carlo. It's kinda vindicating to know an actual Rally driver thinks Monte Carlo is demanding as hell. I am a bit miffed with the Porsche, because that clearly looks like a 911 GT3 RS to me.
As AN Avid player of Dirt Games mainly Dirt Rally 2.0,.... i love the steering wheel setups, but i find it way more challenging to play on a Key board in Manual-Sequential transmission mode
I was hoping the rally driver would be the one to drive.
I'd love to see his comments on rally/rallycross in non-simuator games like Wreckfest, Dirt 5 or Forza Horizon 5. How much authenticity they keep, despite running less complex driving physics than dedicated sims.
those games do not feel satisfying with a steering wheel, they're fun with controllers
First and I love your content love from India 🇮🇳🇮🇳❤️❤️
1 video concept i have always wanted to see is a video where a rally driver tries to draw a track by being told indications (right 3, left 5 etc)
It is impossible because 3 left is different at 170km/h than 90km/h. At dirt rally 2 you can see where some longer stages are seperated to two different stages when suddenly same number corners starts being sharper and slower than before.
@@jjeeqq Every driver has its own way of doing pacenotes. But usually, you'll want to know the turn intensity and the length of the corner. Your speed shouldn't change your pacenotes. If you have good pacenotes, you can actually picture the corner in your head even if you can't see it yet.
What songs were used? Some good stuff in here.
I really never understood why the majority of players choose the chase camera, the cockpit one is 1000 times more immersive, where is the passion for sim racing, when played outside the cockpit?
You can see on the screen that they use a different camera
Why react instead of playing and react at same time?
this guy should react to Richards Burns Rally
That ain't mainstream enough to get views. That game is a really niche thing.
I hoped that there will be Pikes Peak too with the iconic Suzuki Escudo, but oh well... How about a Derby driver reacts to Wreckfest?
Would love to see him react to rallying in BeamNG ^^
I could barely control the car to save my life!
GET RUAIRI BACK ON HERE!
Thank you!!
kinda annoyed almost all the cars showcased are RGT vehicles. like Bell said he drives a WRC2 spec Skoda Fabia which is in the game so would've been nice to see him comment on how it handles in game compared to real life and see what different. also see him look at some older cars like the Lancia Delta, Evo VI and the current FWD vehicles, and also the obligatory Group B monster machine
the second guy was on stuff 🔥🔥😎
but that aston 👀👀
Video idea: “F1 driver reacts to TrackMania”
As a Goa trance fan, I would REALLY love to know the song on Aston martin clip?
I like this guy
Homeboys commentary is awesome.
cool video
Nice to hear the commentary and I have several Rally games, but I am not even close to beaing able to doing good rally stages like in this video. To me this first guy in the video seems to be doing more drifting than negotiating the route. Or they are driving to reckless. like that 2nd guy in the video. I would like to see him drive a real Rally vehicle like that and get away with it. In a virtual Rally game, we can get away with murder in our driving techniques. I just do these kind of games for entertainment and I like doing them with a VR headset. I also like doing the Cross Rallies against other vehicles better than just doing running a route by myself.
*Samir, you have to listen to my calls, you are breaking the car sami*
You will not finish! Please, I beg of you... Shaddup.
Am I the only one who feels like the first Dirt rally was harder and much more realistic?
You are not the only one
Show him the BeamNG drive rally, I bet he'll love it!
You should see Marwollo driving on controller! Guy is insane
Why don't you have the guy actually play it and get a proper reaction
That’s what I thought
Alright great, now we need him to react to Mario kart
Go review stormGT that's rally sim driver right there
Could you guys do Expert Reacts to Arena Breakout? It just came out a few days ago and it's still a Beta version of it, so i just giving recomendations for the future Expert Reacts
0:58 exactly why I love to do rally in beam ng
DiRT RALLY 2.0, much like Colin McRae Rally 2.0, is a legendary game.
how about reacting to Richard burns rally? (rallysimfans version), it is still the most realistic rally game ever, originally it was released in 2004
I think it would've been much better if he reacted to someone playing these sort of games in first person. Especially when you wanna compare reallife Rally driving. But yeah. ^^
get him to react to Forza Horizon 5 Rally Adventure next
For Rally Games, I recommend HenrikM's channel.
I love rally
i just got WRC7 on sale for 2EU while was thinking to get DR2 instead of WRC and this vid come up . From this video i noticed that they don't even have the dizzy shaking camera effect when u are out of road . I mean this is 500KG+/- (after modifications) car you can put a lill effort in ur game to make it feel like car instad of flying boat 🤭 . I don't pick a side but for a hardcore fan of rally i think WRC is more realistic than DR in terms of games .
*I think you guys should do something for Far Cry 5 5th Anniversary, like the Pastor reaction to the cult songs, or some of the gameplay, enemy dialogue or something.*
i like the *highlight* feature as well
Love that they used @XpertGamingTech gameplay for this display.
i could never understand, why you get a rally simulation, a wheel and all and then you drive in go pro on car roof mode it feels more dangerous to not be in the cockpit, just by watching xD
Look at the Screen of the guy playing it, he is in cockpit view, the one we are watching is just the showcase cam

Tire deg is trash in this game, but the diffs are spot on. I spent most of my tuning trying to get the diffs to handle the way I need them to.
Not even a world record video ?! C'mon, you had one job.
Does anyone know a way on how I could make my speedometer on the ps4 dirt rally 2. Using a tablet for it

React to "Bubble" it's an epic Parkour anime movie.
he started the monte carlo race in second
Can you do Wrestler/Wrestlers reacting to WWE games? Or Ufc.
DR and DR2.0 are really forgiving. I'm not a good driver really but in DR there was a short stage I used to be able to to completely flat out frome start to finish in the Mini. Yes, in the mini I said I'm not a good driver lol.
that’s why it’s forgiving, try group B and it’ll be a bit harder lol
In the mini every stage is forgiving (only problem is with the mini are the hairpins and the 90 degree corners the car understeers like crazy) but driving any group b or rwd its just a hell at least with a controller (im playing with a controller) these cars are soooo much harder to drive
Do one on Richard Burns Rally, that' s serious shit
I wonder why the car is sliding so much. On dirt i get it, but i thought on tarmac it's faster to keep the cat stable?
Richard Burns Rally is ancient but it's the best rally sim ever made
With a 100% realism they will lose 99% of their customers ;) But the game should have a button for 100% or the highest realism they can do.
