Alcorn did great for those who don’t know the band lost their head band director literally a WEEK before this game that really threw the whole band off emotionally they was even talking about not even performing and protesting to get their band director back instead so Excellent job SOD for sticking through and Doing it for Doc💛💜

Alcorn sound great but Southern had a better sound and bigger band but Alcorn in no way sucked. With all the things that are going on today in this world I hope we as a black race will learn to lift up our other brothers and sisters. We have to also learn we don't have to put other's down to lift ourselves up. Ijs and this isn't directed solemnly towards the comments on this video. We should do this on all videos.we have to be an example for the younger generation.

Everybody keep asking where has this Southern been all year, but I've seen this Southern all year from Dallas to Jackson, bayou till now they have held their weight. Arrangements and sound quality. Although prof is gone and it was a lil slow getting started Southern started the season off correctly. Give them a little bit, give them more and give them what they need. That's what keep people interested and that's how any Superstar does it keep u watching lol.

SU is evolving...this is obviously the benefit of prioritization and focus on sound and tone quality. The hard work will also carryover into the next season, so they’re gonna hit the ground running. Both in person and on video, I’ve been listening, and this has been such a great example of a clean and powerful SU sound.
Not being biased but SU just sounds cleaner, more full and well rounded. Alcorn was cool but some arrangements sounded empty and they sounded somewhat tired. I'm from up North so it's refreshing to hear these bands crank like this.

Usually most bands sound quality goes down at the end of the season. But su on the other hand sounds like they at they peak.

This statement is actually wrong... They band should sound better at the end of the season compared to the beginning. Chemistry is built everyone is used to playing by now so you should be a better band ending the season than starting.
RealFamed You are correct... But many bands have proved this wrong like txsu, Lcorn, Grambling, and NC&T. Alcorn was on some real shit in the beginning and middle of the season, and then dropped off. And txsu was doing great at the beginning then started flopping, especially against PVAMU.

The reason people think Alcott cutting through is because he has a cardoid mic which picks up a lot of outside noise....it would be different if it was a directional boom mic.... I’ve tested this myself with voice audio...that’s why you keep hearing the echos from each band on opposite sides of the field which makes it seem like he has 2 mics

I love Alcorn power and quality for thier smaller size. SU just has that brassy instrumentation that gives it that power advantage. If Alcorn were the same size and had the same brass instrumentation, they would be evenly matched.

Chuck B. Nah I actually like this set up. Because the conference saves money. The atmosphere was a lot better and I watched it on tv. Not too many schools travel well in the swac. And I played ball for su. Plus, only the power 5 conferences have neutral site games. The other conferences the best record school hosts. No need to overdo ourselves.
@@sirs.746 I understand what you saying I played ball in college as well. I just thought it gave the home team an advantage. The MEAC don't have a championship game they just go by the regular season winner so I guess each conference is different.
Chuck B. Yea I just see it as incentive to do what they have to do during the season. What I would like to see is something bigger and better for all black schools. They have us all fight for one bowl game. In the meantime, meac should get a championship game.

I'm not a fan of either band, but what i do know is Alcorn is no push over. They going in to and lawd they majorettes clowning. Both bands was entertaining. However in my opinion I think TNSU is the only band that can go toe to toe wit SU & JSU. TNSU is the best balanced outta any band.
Alcorn lost their band director at the end of the season before a championship game. Southern lost theirs before the season started. Hell SU sounded a mess their first few games, even took a loss to Alcorn. Alcorn held their own during this battle & will be just fine moving forward. #ProductofDoc ✊🏽
